After upgrading to the latest LTS version of AEM, we have encountered an issue with the Rich Text field using the resource type cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/richtext. When saving any sentence containing two consecutive curly braces {{, the data is not being stored correctly in CRX. Specifically, the double curly braces are being replaced with {<!-- -->{, which causes problems when the final HTML is generated.Steps to Reproduce:Open a dialog with a Rich Text field (cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog/richtext).Enter the following content:<p>{{someData['someData']}}</p>Save the dialog.Check the value stored in CRX.Expected Result: The data should be saved as entered:<p>{{ContentBlock['chaseContactUsFooter']}}</p>Actual Result: The data is saved as:<p>{<!-- -->{someData['someData&#39;]}}</p>This unexpected replacement of {{ with {<!-- -->{ is causing issues in the rendered HTML and breaking our templating logic. This issue occu
Now Enhanced With Broadcast Live Updates for Large-Scale Operational Communications When travelers head to the airport, their biggest pain point isn’t the flight itself—it’s the uncertainty:Has the gate changed? When does boarding begin? Is the flight delayed? Where are my bags?Airlines have the data. Travelers desperately need it. But traditional push notifications only go so far. With Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Live Activities, airlines can deliver real‑time, persistent updates directly on the lock screen through iOS Live Activities—and now, with the introduction of Broadcast Live Activities, they can scale these updates to entire airport terminals, routes, weather events, or wide operational groups simultaneously. This blog shows how airlines can implement both 1:1 and Broadcast Live Activities to keep passengers informed throughout their journey. What’s New: Broadcast Live ActivitiesOriginally, Live Activities in AJO focused on personalized 1:1 updates, such as a flight delay for
In my instance, we have a frequent question/point of confusion that comes up with our team and I’ve never quite been able to come up with a good way to explain it to people that makes sense to them. I’m wondering if this is a common confusion, and if anyone has come up with good teaching methods for it? Scenario: We make a custom form for a new intake process, and a matching summary report for the team who manage the process to see all the records/data that are input on it. Over time, the process managers get used to using that report like Excel, and rarely have a need to open the Issue/Request record that’s behind it.Challenge: Sometime later, the process managing team have someone new join the team. That person is shown the report and asked to make some updates. They are unable to make the edits, which results in a support ticket to my team incorrectly asking for edit access to the report itself rather than the records it’s displaying. The real issue is that the new team member was
When a user removes a custom form from an issue or any other object, the system updates area does not keep an audit trail letting us know that a custom form was removed. Need a way to know when a custom form was removed from a record and by whom regardless of the object.
I would like to be able to capture via a calculated field when custom text field has been changed. Current option is to look at the update feeds Update feeds captures thru Audit Text when a field change is reported in the update feed showing the before and after. Extracting thru text mode the Audit Text Entry date and making know which custom form field you are looking for and its corresponding entry date is nearly impossible.
Undo button available for system admins when designing/creating within a custom form, layout template, reporting, text mode. Please make this available when designing scenarios in Workfront Fusion as well. Why is this feature important to you - Eliminate unnecessary rework. How would you like the feature to work - Start by adding the undo button in custom forms, so if you delete a field by accident you can undo the action.Current Behaviour - There is no undo button

Geo-based redirects are a common technique used to route users to regional content (for example, redirecting / to /us/ or /ca/).In Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), these redirects are often implemented at the CDN layer, before requests reach Dispatcher or Publish. While technically effective, this approach can introduce unintended SEO side effects if not carefully designed. Why this mattersSearch engine crawlers do not behave like end users: Crawling locations are limited and inconsistent Geo signals may not reflect real user geography CDN-level redirects can be applied uniformly to both bots and users When geo-based redirects are enforced unconditionally at the edge, crawlers may: Index an incorrect locale Fail to discover alternative regions Encounter redirect chains that reduce crawl efficiency These issues often appear without visible errors in AEM logs or monitoring tools.AEMaaCS-specific considerationsIn AEMaaCS, the mandatory CDN layer plays a critica
Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) introduced a stricter and more explicit approach to configuration management. Configuration is no longer a runtime concern but a core part of application architecture, deployment, and governance. This overview summarizes the primary configuration models available in AEMaaCS and their intended use cases. Index Traversal in AEM: A Common Source of Performance Issues by @daniel-strmecki IntroductionIndex traversal is one of the most common and most misunderstood causes of performance issues in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). It rarely appears during local development or early project phases, but tends to surface once a system goes live, content volumes grow, and real user traffic starts hitting authoring and delivery workflows. What makes index traversal particularly dangerous is how easy it is to introduce. A single custom JCR query, a reporting feature, or an authoring UI enhancement can quietly trigger queries that scan tens or even hundreds of thousands of nodes. At first, the impact may be barely noticeable. However, over time, content grows, and queries accumulate, increasing CPU usage, slowing down AEM Author, and in the worst cases, destabilizing entire environments.Because traversal warnings are logged rather than surfaced as functional errors, they are often ignored or misunde
For your Friday amusement, in case anyone else has had a long week too - In the Spiderman comic books, Uncle Ben famously tells Peter Parker - 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Alas, I did not benefit from having an Uncle Ben, so my paraphrased saying goes, 'With great power comes occasional shenanigans...'. Professional Use-Case: As part of rolling out the Adobe Admin Console, I granted all users in my instance access to our sandbox environment to make sure they had established their Adobe IDs prior to migration of our production instance. While this idea worked well, and allowed us to troubleshoot issues prior to the full roll-out, it also left me worried that some of my team might accidentally continue accessing the sandbox environment and lose the work they had completed there. In theory, I could have waited until we launched production and simply revoked their access to the sandbox, but I wanted to leave that available for training and

How it should work:I would like see field set or container of multiple fields which the user can add multiple times when filling the form. The field logic inside the field set should be self sufficient, which means that when I select a select a value in drop down in instance 1 of the field sets, the fields of instances 2-n are not impacted. The field set should be like a repeatable subform in form. I don’t know if you can make a section repeatable as it it already a container of fields. What it should solve:We had multiple time the situation that we have to add the same combination of fields to the same custom form. Here is two examples from our project history:1. Service and Complaints Management (Request), where you have to add add multiple times for same information. E.g:SKU (External Lookup Fields) Count (Textfield with Number) Failure Type (Drop Down) Failure Description (Textarea, but only showed when specific Failure Type was displayed)We ended up adding the same fields multipl
Hi everyone,I’m working with the Search Panel Explorer in the AEM Editor interface, based on the documentation below:https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-guides/using/user-guide/author-content/work-with-editor/editor-interface-features/search-panel-explorerWhat I’m doingI’m adding custom search filters using the ui_config.json approach, similar to the solution described here:https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/adobe-experience-manager-guides-11/aem-guides-search-customization-not-working-as-documented-14210?postid=435242#post435242Using this method: I’m able to successfully add new filters to the Search Panel The custom Tags filter appears and functions correctly Issue I’m facingFor the custom Tags filter, I’m not able to restrict or configure the tag root path.Even after setting the desired root (for example /content/cq:tags/products), the Tags field still shows tags from the entire global tag tree instead of the expected subtree. My questions When

Stop Guessing: Visualize AEMaaCS Editor Activity with Splunk by @daniel-strmecki IntroductionWhen we talk about performance optimization in AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), we usually focus on Dispatcher caching, CDN configuration, frontend performance, query indexing or backend refactoring. What often gets overlooked is the actual editor activity on the Author environment. Knowing how, when, and how intensely editors use AEM Author is critical operational information. Heavy editorial activity can significantly impact Author performance without proper optimizations in place, especially during peak hours. Conversely, periods of low editor activity present ideal windows for running content cleanup jobs, bulk imports, reindexing, or maintenance tasks that would otherwise degrade the editor experience. In this post, we’ll walk through how to build a Splunk dashboard to gain clear visibility into editor behavior on AEMaaCS Author. The goal of the dashboard is simple: to understand editor u
