Adobe Workfront

So I have a custom text field attached to tasks. I customized my project view to include this column. I tried adding text to these fields and it refuses to save inline. However, I went into the task itself, edited the task, and added text to the field there. I saved it, came back to the project view, and it isn’t showing up. But going back into the actual task itself, and editing, I can see the text I added to the field. Is there something going on with custom fields and tasks right now?  I found this issue: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront-known-issues/issues/new-workfront-experience/wf-current/wf-tasks-inline-changes-not-saving But it claims to have been fixed in December. I don’t know if this is related. Is there anything I can check? It’s kinda starting to put me in a bind. I’m rebuilding Workfront for a team that isn’t really comfortable with the tool. We have recently become aware that we are no longer able to create negative expenses.This has created a huge problems on our end with invoicing clients.We often have corporate card returns/refunds that, of course, come through as a negative number. If we’ve already invoiced a client by adding the original expense to a billing record, we have no way to now add a negative expense to a future billing record to reduce the next invoice for that client. And if we haven’t already invoiced the client, zero’ing out that expense creates an audit mis-alignment with our financial system. We also often have credits that come from suppliers related to an invoice that we’ve posted. Same as expenses, not being able to create a negative expense for supplier credits causes the same problems on this expense type.We were not made aware that this change was coming and it is causing errors in our Fusion automations that try to create a negative expense record in Workfront, in addition to the client invoicin

When proofing a document I wanted to tag another approver and get their opinion about something on the artwork. However, it will not let me tag them, giving me the message “Your sharing permissions allow you to mention only people already added to the proof.”If they are an approver, wouldn’t they already be added to the proof? It seems that I can tag them in the updates (Unless it is an outside user, than I am unable to tag them at all - but I can add them as an approver)We used to have no problems tagging people that had Workfront accounts on our system so I’m not sure which update changed this, but would like to know how to fix it please.

I recently refreshed my SB01 and then discovered that all my Fusion scenarios connected to SB01 or Preview are broken. Has anyone else encountered this, and how do you restore the connections without having to rebuild the webhooks and api calls? 😭

Hi all,We have a lot of projects where assignments change often and sometimes entire teams are changed on a project, and thus people are unassigned tasks and others are reassigned. The challenge we’re facing is that when users are no longer assigned to tasks in a project, they remain in the “people” section (projectUsers), so the project still shows up in their dashboards and reports. I thought I saw a scenario to remove users from the projectUsers when no tasks were assigned to them in that project, but I can’t find anything now and I’m having a tough time working through my own scenario for this. Has anybody created a scenario to do this and would be willing to share your blueprint? Thanks!-Steven

It is just me or do the log files seem to be even slower to process and post? I am looking at a history screen with 9 runs that have yet to process the history - all of them are at least 15 mins old. Makes it hard to diagnosis issues... just sayin

Idea:   Enforce required fields on custom forms and do not allow a task to be completed before they are populated.      There have been several of these ideas in the past but really wanted to bring this back up in a newer idea forum as this is a huge concern coming from a highly regulated industry.    I would really anticipate that this impacts almost every organization that uses Workfront as this is really expected behavior when you indicate that a field is required.    Idea option 1:   Required * = field must be populated before status can be moved to complete. Idea option 2:  Could we potentially add an option for “Required to close” checkbox when designing a custom form field; a second required checkbox option that drives different types of required action. This would mean you could leave the current structure as is, but simply expand to enforce required nature upon the task completion trigger. Current Functionality:   If a form is not opened to edit mode, the application does not

A portion of our end users access Workfront via iPad. While testing, I confirmed that the time field within the date field is functional; however, it requires time to be entered in an exact XX:XX AM/PM format, which creates a poor user experience on mobile devices.Given the volume of iPad users on our team, I recommend Adobe revisit the time field input to support a more intuitive editing experience, such as a scroll selector or auto-formatting, to reduce friction and improve usability across devices.

Does anyone know why the proofing tool would give you the error message "proof failed to generate", when the user is set to "Manager" vs "Supervisor in the users "proof permission profile"?If i change it to Supervisor it works, but if it's Manager i get the error message.

Hi! I’m trying to map an array into the planning update records module, I run into a validation failed error when I map an array, but it works fine when I pass it as individual IDs. I also tried creating a JSON and updating the record with the planning Custom API module, but that also throws the same error. How can I go about this? 

Logged into Fusion this morning to see a new banner message: “Important Update: From April 15, your current login/password combination for Adobe Workfront Fusion will stop working as we complete our migration to Adobe IMS. Please contact your Adobe Admin Console administrator or your Support team to be assigned.”I currently use an email and password for a service account in our WF instance (created prior to our migration to Admin Console) to log into Fusion.  Does this mean I will need to be provisioned under my own WF account?  Also, most of my scenarios use a connection created for the service account.  Will those continue to work unaffected?  I’m assuming the change is purely for login purposes and would not effect existing scenarios or my ability to edit them?

Hi there. I’m pulling a Proof Approvals report, where I am grouping by approverDecision to know what proofs are still pending and which ones have been reviewed/approved. It turns out that if a proof was set up as interactive, the system will lowercase the field value for approverDecision and will capitalize it if the proof was set up as static. See example screenshot:I cannot find any string functions to use within valueexpression or something similar in text mode to normalize these fields. I am trying to map an array variable to the Planning Module but no matter what I do, I get an error "Array of objects expected in parameter 'F6914a6c02f21335b7b794d35'." I have tried to just have the ID numbers, the "id: xxxxxxx" and plenty of other things to get this to work but I don't know what it wants and I can not find any documentation on Planning Module specifics.  When I put the variables in one at a time in the without mapping, it works (but I will never know the set amount of objects so I need the array). Hi Everyone,I’m trying to understand how to implement a Parent–Child project structure in Adobe Workfront so that multiple projects can stay aligned with a master project timeline.The idea is to have a hierarchy like this:Portfolio → Program → Parent Project → Multiple Child ProjectsThe Parent Project would contain the main timeline and key milestone tasks. The Child Projects would represent different workstreams (for example: Marketing Campaign, Sales Training, Customer Enablement, etc.), each owned by different teams.The goal is that when the dates in the Parent Project change, the related tasks in the Child Projects should automatically adjust so that all teams stay synchronized.I’ve seen diagrams where tasks in the Child Projects are linked to tasks in the Parent Project, possibly using cross-project dependencies or predecessor relationships.My questions are:  Is this possible ? What is the best way to implement this structure in Workfront? Can Parent and Child Projects be formal

A department is adding a new queue with a new custom form to their request project. The form shows the name but not any of the fields when someone goes to make the request. It only shows up for admins and for the project owner who does not have an admin license. I have tried creating a new form and it still did not work. Also created new fields and still not showing. Tried it on a different queue. The form is set as edit for those who submit, no restricted access. The queue is system wide. The project and form is shared with everyone. And the other queues and forms work. But when logged in as a user or if they try, it only shows the name of the form. Any ideas on why it is doing it and how to fix it?

I am certain I saw this in my instance last night and now I cannot find how I found it.What I am looking to achieve is from within a Portfolio, using the Milestone View and it be grouped by program.Please can someone help?!
