Adobe Workfront

Hi there. I’m pulling a Proof Approvals report, where I am grouping by approverDecision to know what proofs are still pending and which ones have been reviewed/approved. It turns out that if a proof was set up as interactive, the system will lowercase the field value for approverDecision and will capitalize it if the proof was set up as static. See example screenshot:I cannot find any string functions to use within valueexpression or something similar in text mode to normalize these fields. Idea:   Enforce required fields on custom forms and do not allow a task to be completed before they are populated.      There have been several of these ideas in the past but really wanted to bring this back up in a newer idea forum as this is a huge concern coming from a highly regulated industry.    I would really anticipate that this impacts almost every organization that uses Workfront as this is really expected behavior when you indicate that a field is required.    Idea option 1:   Required * = field must be populated before status can be moved to complete. Idea option 2:  Could we potentially add an option for “Required to close” checkbox when designing a custom form field; a second required checkbox option that drives different types of required action. This would mean you could leave the current structure as is, but simply expand to enforce required nature upon the task completion trigger. Current Functionality:   If a form is not opened to edit mode, the application does not

Hi Everyone,I’m trying to understand how to implement a Parent–Child project structure in Adobe Workfront so that multiple projects can stay aligned with a master project timeline.The idea is to have a hierarchy like this:Portfolio → Program → Parent Project → Multiple Child ProjectsThe Parent Project would contain the main timeline and key milestone tasks. The Child Projects would represent different workstreams (for example: Marketing Campaign, Sales Training, Customer Enablement, etc.), each owned by different teams.The goal is that when the dates in the Parent Project change, the related tasks in the Child Projects should automatically adjust so that all teams stay synchronized.I’ve seen diagrams where tasks in the Child Projects are linked to tasks in the Parent Project, possibly using cross-project dependencies or predecessor relationships.My questions are:  Is this possible ? What is the best way to implement this structure in Workfront? Can Parent and Child Projects be formal

A department is adding a new queue with a new custom form to their request project. The form shows the name but not any of the fields when someone goes to make the request. It only shows up for admins and for the project owner who does not have an admin license. I have tried creating a new form and it still did not work. Also created new fields and still not showing. Tried it on a different queue. The form is set as edit for those who submit, no restricted access. The queue is system wide. The project and form is shared with everyone. And the other queues and forms work. But when logged in as a user or if they try, it only shows the name of the form. Any ideas on why it is doing it and how to fix it?

I am certain I saw this in my instance last night and now I cannot find how I found it.What I am looking to achieve is from within a Portfolio, using the Milestone View and it be grouped by program.Please can someone help?!

Hi,Is there a way to search for a WF Planning user in Fusion, given that user’s ID? I am trying to get the name and email from a user, based on the ID provided in the Created By field of a Planning record. I know I can search for a user details via this API internal/user?name=<user_name>  but as far as I could tell, it does not allow me to search by ID. Thanks in advanceJoao

I recently refreshed my SB01 and then discovered that all my Fusion scenarios connected to SB01 or Preview are broken. Has anyone else encountered this, and how do you restore the connections without having to rebuild the webhooks and api calls? 😭

Is this a bug……...I’m seeing that if a collapsed form is never “opened”, even if there are required fields in the custom form, you can submit the form. In essence the required fields are not holding true. 

Hi everyone,  We’re working on creating sort of a points system within workfront to help manage capacity. We have designers input their planned hours and actual hours, but it’s hard to get everyone onboard which skews our workload balancer/tasks dashboard. I’m wondering if anyone else has created a system or workflow to help with capacity management? What we essentially would like to do is for each of our groups within workfront to get a set number of hours or points so when it reaches a certain number, they can’t request anymore projects for that month. Any suggestion or how we could implement this?? Any help would be great!

Hello, I am currently working on filtering a project report by task assignees manager. One of our design manager’s would like to see a full project report that is filtered for projects that their direct reports have been assigned tasks on. I think an exist statement would probably be the best way to do this but I could be overlooking something much simpler. If anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated.

Is it possible to export log details (Custom Forms, Fields, Templates, Projects, etc.) from Workfront? If so, how can we export these log details? Please advise.

When subtasks have multiple assignees by role type, and the bulk edit tool is used to swap out a role for a name, it now removes an additional role types on those subtasks.Example attached - all subtasks with Digital Customer Experience are selected, edited to change for a name, but the subtasks that had multiple assignees (200, 202 & 203) have removed the other team despite ‘Remove all exisiting assignees’ not being checked on the edit screen.This has been the case since the new edit view was implemented. It has added considerable time to assigning projects, with lots of manual additions on individual lines being required where bulk assigning used to suffice.
