Adobe Experience Manager Forms

I have a repeatable panel in an Adaptive form built on core components, with a remove button inside the panel and an add button outside. When I use the rule editor to configure the remove button to delete a panel instance, it consistently removes the panel below the one I selected. For example, if I add three panels and try to delete panel 2, panel 3 gets deleted instead. While this could have been resolved using the Code editor, that option isn't available to me. My constraints are that we're working within a headless delivery model, so I can't use guidebridge, and custom JS functions aren't feasible because they would require passing the SOM expression, making the JS form-specific. Given these limitations, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to address this issue.

I’m trying to do a redirect based on the email domain that they submitted, basically want to redirect them to page A if their non-customer domains, page B if their customer domains. As i know currenly there is no native functionality to cross check the domain to marketo lists correct? Or is there an alternative for this

We have recently started using Fragments in our Adaptive forms. I noticed that when I create a new fragment, the jcr property (fd:version) defaults to 1.1. However, fragments from the Core form component examples project are set to 2.1. What controls this version assignment? creating a fragment with 1.1 version does show it under /assets. Additionally, after creating a fragment, the components available are all sourced from fd/af/components/. How can I configure this to point to my project instead? I also do not see a template being selected during fragment creation, so I’m unsure how the allowed components are determined.Thanks,Abhishek

Hi all, We are working on delivering adaptive form as headless so a react spa can render it. We have used react starter kit as a base to do the POC. At this point, i have following questions while i try to wrap my head around these things and frame a picture. Any help in explaining would be greatWhen i view https://www.npmjs.com/org/aemforms , i see a af-react-components and af-react-vanilla-components , how are they distinguished ? i see a latest commit into the af-react-components. I also noticed, af-custom-functions, how is this used ? i understand that we can include the same functions in our client libs and instead of loading them, the af-react-renderer would identify as they are included as dependency ? In order to use Scribble signature from Core components, we have been also provided with a custom theme, since this is headless, should i ask Adobe to include the theme into the react version, so it includes it as dependency ? Hello All,We have a single template with English and Spanish pages combined, and the same template can repeat based on data. We are on 6.5.22 Version OnPrem. Running WCM Core version 2.24.6 and Forms Core component version 1.1.78.We are working in a headless setup. The submit button on the form needs to validate the entire form and highlight fields missing validations. I used a button on the click event tried adding validate action. This is only highlighting fields from the panel where i clicked Submit. Submit is directly placed underneath the guide container. So, the experience i am seeing, If i hit submit and go to next panel, i dont see any fields highlighted.We want to do this because, the react SPA is going to intercept the submit button and parse the DOM to collect all error messages and display as a modal. I have noticed some OOTB actions like “navigatebetweenpanels” is missing in OnPrem but avaiable on cloud. Any ideas on how to go about this will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am facing an issue where the screen reader (NVDA) is reading out ‘edit unavailable read only’ for all the accessibility tags with <form> tags.<form> tags are generated for all the text field objects from XDP.Is there any way to prevent NVDA from reading this out loud or to prevent <form> tags being generated in the rendered static PDF using output service.Appreciate any help on this topic. 

I have a license to Adobe Acrobat on the web. I have an existing PDF and want to add fillable fields with copying information among the fields. What license / app / software do I need? How to get started?

We are looking to utilize the headless Adaptive form to display the form on an external React SPA. As i understand JSON representation of the form is targeted at /content so it includes the validations, patterns, field limits etc that we configure at component level and that stay under the /content node. But in case of complex requirements, where i need to write my own JS functions, this wont work as client libs will never be sent back through the API. Are there any alternatives to do this ? how flexible is the rule editor in handling a little to medium complex validations. Example, an API call that needs to be made on field select, SSN masking, Prevent future date from being picked etc.

We have desktop-only version of AEM Forms Designer 6.5.21. We save and publish forms as static and Reader-extended PDFs only. We need to tag graphic elements - circles, illustrations, icons - as artefacts, but it is not possible in AEM to assign such items a role. And as you know, we cannot remediate XFAs in Acrobat. This is a problem for WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance. Is this something that is coming in a future update?

So, I have a scenario, We’ve more than 5000+ pdf and XDP to convert.we’re running on AEM on prem LTS.  Has anyone here done something similar? As this is going to be a lot of configurations, implementations and then migration. I need some guidance on how to achieve it. When the form is submitted, a default loading spinner appears.I would like to customize or replace this spinner so it matches our site’s branding.Could someone please clarify:    •    What is the recommended way to override the default submit spinner?    •    Which CSS class or JS event controls the submitting state?    •    Should this be handled through a custom client library (Sites or Forms-specific)?    •    Is there a supported, upgrade-safe approach without modifying /libs?Any guidance or implementation examples would be appreciated.Thanks

Is there a way i can make an API call with file uploaded through attachment component ? As soon as the file is selected, i would like to trigger JS from my client libs to make an API call. Seems as per the design, the attachment ( which is unscanned for any potential malware) is uploaded into AEM. Is there a workaround ?Thanks,Abhishek

Hi Community,  I have questions for the adaptive form,  We have use case where we need to add the pagination for the adaptive form, is there any way we can achieve this? I haven’t seen such a business need in my previous role.  As adaptive forms consider as SPA it’s very uncommon, Also, can we bind the logic on adaptive form to achieve exact analytics data?  Best, Pathik

Hello, I have been working on a XFA Form I created using AEM Form Designer. The form is used to intake customers who come to our service center for computer repairs. It has 2 pages the first is for the customer and the second is for the technician and has the computer info, ticket number, and customer info that was inputted on first page. The customer can drop off up to 5 different computers per form. I originally built out a script using AcroForms which allowed me to print the customer page once and the technician page for the # of computers inputted on the form based on serial numbers with their respective fields being Serial1 through Serial5. The code below added the last page multiple times depending on if their were multiple serial numbers on the intake forms. This worked as intended without issues. Hi All, We are trying to embed an AEM Adaptive form in an external web page that is build using Angular. As per the official documentation, we tried the HTML injection using Ajax and Jquery. Though this worked, it opened up a lot of security questions as the HTML is being injected into the hosting page. This cannot be sanitized by Angular due to the JS and CSS existing. Also, them having to map the relative paths of client libs to AEM Server.Alternatives discussed were using iFrame. My question is to understand your take on both the approaches and what can be followed.We are also discussing headless delivery, we are on prem but this can be a longer term goal for us. My understanding is HTML injection how is Adobe recommending this approach with such security concerns around ? Are there any mitigation controls we can put in place. Thanks,Abhishek

Hi all, I have a PDF file for a form with logo, images and styling. I want to be able to enter this form in AEM Adaptive Form while all the fields are looking part of the PDF file and not just fields separately. How to create an XSD that could be used as a Model while creating an AEM Adaptive Form so that while entering form in AEM Adaptive Form, the PDF appears exactly same? Is there a tutorial for a sample PDF?I need a tutorial with just two fields, two images and for learning purpose only. Appreciate all your responses. Thanks,RK.

Hi Comunity,since today, maybe yesterday, preview tab in AEM Forms Designer is not working anymore.I’ve installed Designer v6.5.24 and Acrobat DC continuous.Viewing Task Manager shows, that Adobe Acrobat Process gets started, but window stays grey.After switching back to design mode, Adobe Acrobat Process remains started, also Adobe AcrobatCEF remains.Was this error behaviour seen before? Any ideas? BRStephan

Hi Team,We have a requirement to flip / mirror the content of a text field in an AEM Livecycle Forms created using LiveCycle Designer for SAP.Requirement Details: Ability to apply axis-based rotation (X / Z) on a text field Expected outcomes: Z-axis 180°  X-axis 180°  This is required at the textfield level, not at the page level Observations: There is no OOTB option for X-axis or Z-axis rotation Queries: Is there any OOTB capability, hidden configuration, or supported workaround in LiveCycle Designer to achieve flip/mirror text? Is this achievable via: FormCalc or JavaScript? XFA-level properties? Post-processing at the PDF level? Is this a known limitation of LiveCycle Designer? Kindly let us know If any Adobe-recommended solution exists.
