Opens and clicks have long been considered the gold standard for measuring email performance, thanks to their simplicity and broad accessibility. But in recent years, the gap between these metrics and real human behavior has grown rapidly. Today, relying on basic metrics like opens and clicks can be misleading. Why? Because they track technical signals, not real human behavior. Why Email Metrics Often Don’t Reflect Real Human Behavior Here’s the reality: Opens are recorded when a tracking pixel loads, and clicks register when a link is requested. Neither proves that someone actually read your email, paid attention, or intended to engage. Factor in modern email bots, security scanners, and privacy tools, and what looks like an “engaged” audience can be a mix of real humans and automated systems. As marketers, it’s crucial to grasp not just how this skews standard email engagement metrics, but also the ripple effects it can have on revenue and the sales funnel: Compromised A/B Test Resu

I spoke at the Adobe Summit Experience League Theater AMA series a few weeks ago. For anyone who missed it - or who's been wrestling with the same adoption challenges I keep seeing - here's what I covered. The Adoption CeilingMost Adobe Analytics and CJA implementations eventually hit the same wall. Power users are thriving. Everyone else is frustrated. They don't understand what the dimensions mean, or why some of them have no data. They've stopped trusting the numbers. And whenever they need something, they file a ticket with IT - where it joins a queue.CJA makes this worse before it makes it better. More data sources means more dimensions spanning multiple departments, and most people have no map for any of it. The Lighthouse FrameworkAt Accrease, we've built an approach around this called the Lighthouse Framework. The idea is simple: instead of routing everything to IT, every business unit gets one trusted point of guidance - a 'lighthouse' - who sits in their team, understands the

Hello Community,I am preparing to kick-start my journey as an Adobe Experience Platform Analyst. With an analytical mindset and enterprise IT experience, I am drawn to how AEP solves complex data integration, segmentation, and omnichannel activation at scale. To accelerate my growth, I am looking for ways to gain practical exposure: Mentorship & Guidance: Any advice on the ideal roadmap for Adobe certifications (such as the AEP Qualified/Certified Expert paths). Hands-on Exposure: Open to volunteer work, entry-level internships, or shadowing practitioners on implementation use cases. Key Resources: Recommendations on community repos, labs, or documentation beyond standard Experience League tutorials. If you are open to connecting or have advice on where a newcomer should focus their first 90 days, please feel free to drop a comment or reach out directly. Looking forward to learning from this incredible community!

First things first, what is an API? API stands for Application Programming Interface, which is a set of definitions for building and integrating applications. API uses the standardized method of transferring data that lets you connect and facilitate data transfers between two platforms even though they are built on completely different platforms / tech-stack / architecture. APIs essentially serve as a layer of abstraction for the programmatic access of the data present on the back-end. Marketo APIs Marketo exposes its REST (Representational State Transfer), SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to allow the remote execution of many of its capabilities. Marketo also has a rich library of JavaScript APIs to perform actions / get data on the client side (more about Marketo's client side JavaScript APIs in another blog, we'll focus on REST/SOAP APIs in this one). Apart from being able to help integrate third party systems wi
If your team is planning (or mid-way through) a migration from on-prem AEM or AMS to AEM as a Cloud Service, here's a rundown of the things that tend to blindside people beyond what's in Adobe's official migration docs.1. The "no full read/write access to the repo" shift is bigger than it soundsOn-prem, you got used to poking around CRXDE Lite, hotfixing content in prod, or running ad-hoc Groovy scripts against the JCR. Cloud Service locks that down hard no CRXDE Lite in prod, no direct repo shell access. Everything has to go through code, content packages, or the Cloud Manager pipeline. Teams that relied on "just SSH in and fix it" workflows need to rebuild that muscle memory around proper CI/CD and content sync tooling months before cutover, not during it.2. Cloud Manager's code quality gates will fail builds you didn't know were brokenCloud Manager runs static analysis (Sonar-based rules) on every build, and it's stricter than most teams expect. Common failures:Deprecated APIs (Reso
We're starting a Marketo implementation where Salesforce integration won't be ready 6-12 months (internal dependencies, not our choice). Rather than wait, we're exploring and planning to:Launch Marketo standalone (scoring, nurture, events, preference center) Design everything CRM-ready (fields, lifecycle, program statuses, naming) Validate scoring before routing leads to sales Connect SFDC later as a "Phase 2 switch-on"For those who've done this:What did you build BEFORE CRM that you were glad you did? What caused rework when you eventually connected? Any "I wish I'd known this earlier" advice? How long standalone was enough to validate your scoring model?Context: Large global B2B firm, but focus is for regional firm.

Hi everyone,I have a question regarding **Adobe Experience Platform Data Streams and Adobe Analytics**.Suppose I have configured a Data Stream and under **Services** I have enabled **only Adobe Analytics** (with the required Report Suite). If I send an event using **Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK (`alloy.sendEvent()`)**, will that event/data also be ingested into **Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)** automatically, or will it only be sent to Adobe Analytics? In other words:**Scenario 1:*** Data Stream → Adobe Analytics = Enabled* Data Stream → Adobe Experience Platform = Not enabledWill the Web SDK event be available in an AEP Event Dataset?**Scenario 2:*** Data Stream → Adobe Analytics = Enabled* Data Stream → Adobe Experience Platform = Enabled + Event Dataset configuredI understand that in Scenario 2 the data can be ingested into the AEP dataset. What I'm specifically trying to clarify is **whether AEP ingestion happens automatically when only Adobe Analytics is enabled in the Data St

When a linked folder is created in Workfront and contains a large number of existing assets, the synchronization process can generate hundreds or even thousands of individual email notifications based on users' notification preferences. While the current behavior may be working as designed, these large-scale notification events can quickly overwhelm user inboxes and create a poor user experience. We would like to see an option to automatically suppress or disable email notifications that are generated as a result of linked folder synchronization activities. Ideally, administrators could configure this behavior globally or at the linked folder level to prevent mass notification events while still preserving important user-facing notifications for normal day-to-day work. This enhancement would significantly improve the usability and scalability of linked folders, reduce inbox fatigue, and help organizations more broadly adopt Workfront integrations and asset management workflows without cr
