I created two versions of the same email: One using the old editor, built from my own custom template with HTML compiled from MJML One using the new WYSIWYG Email Designer The version built in the old editor is roughly half the size of the new one. With the new editor, I’m constantly hitting Gmail’s 100 KB clipping limit and having emails cut off, even when the visible content is minimal.What’s especially confusing is fragment behavior. When I update a fragment to delete content, the email actually gets larger, sometimes by 30 KB or more. From what I can tell, fragment updates are appending duplicate CSS and redundant markup instead of removing it.I’ve seen mentions that the old editor may be sunset in 2026, and I’m about to build a new nurture program. I’m concerned about being forced onto the new editor when it’s already difficult to keep emails under Gmail’s size limit.Am I missing something here, or are others seeing the same behavior with the new editor?

I’m running a cleanup initiative to reduce clutter from legacy smart lists that are no longer actively maintained.I wanted to confirm best practices before deleting anything: Is it generally safe to rely on the “Used By” tab to identify smart lists that are not referenced by any campaigns, programs, or assets? For smart lists that show no current dependencies and haven’t been modified or used in a long time, is deletion recommended versus archiving? Are there any known risks (hidden dependencies) that we should be aware of before removing them? Thank you in advance.NN

Hello!  I haven’t really encountered this before and wanted to ask: I had sent out an email last week and in the email dashboard it says that the email sent to 1,000 people. However when I clicked on the member tab of the email program or when I create a smart list/email performance report with the was delivered email filter, the number was a lot higher, about 1,600. Any idea on what may be the cause of this discrepancy? The email performance report number as well as the program member number and the smart list number are all the same, but it’s just the dashboard that is off.

Working in the new email template designer I have a published template that looks great and orderly. However, when I send a test to myself, some of the spacing isn’t the same and creates large gaps between the content. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? 

So, we can see now if and where a token is in use. That’s great!  But looking at it a little more, I was wondering why so many of my Program Tokens were not in use. And in fact: They are in use, but obviously in a way that Marketo doesn’t recognize. I’d tentatively say this: “Used by” is only recorded when the token is in the body of an email or in a rich text area on a landing page. It is not recorded if the token is in a Smart Campaign Flow Step, in the meta tags on a landing page or in the local variables of an email module. That is probably not the extensive list, but be careful when deleting local tokens that are indicated to not be in use. It might be misleading.

Anyone had any luck connecting Zapier to Marketo zia SSFS?  We’ve been testing a Zap but after following the documentation and steps, when pulling in the Zapier SSFS it came with a field titled Origin and neither Zapier or Marketo support are sure why or what we should populate in that field to make it work. Anyone had any experience with this? 

We are currently experiencing significant sync latency between Salesforce (SFDC) and Marketo. We have observed a large backlog of records for both Lead and Contact objects. Currently, the sync cycle is taking almost 24 hours to process and clear the backlog, which is severely impacting our real-time marketing operations and sales handoff. Please let me know how can I bring this sync backlog to minimum.

Hi Everyone,I need to pull list of all leads created/updated in last 24 hours. Currently we are using Bulk Export API to pull all activities for this purpose but need to move away from this due to existing high usage of Bulk Export in other processes.Is there any Rest API which allows us to pull all leads with updates in a particular timeframe?I have already tried Get Lead Changes, but it is only returning newly created leads even when I filter by updatedAt. 

Marketo’s onValidate and friends stack like DOM event listeners: they run in the order they were added. But there are still major differences:In Marketo, the listener stack isn’t deduped. If you add the same listener function 3 times, it’ll run 3 times. We have a ZoomInfo tracking snippet installed on our Marketo landing pages. ZoomInfo is integrated with Marketo, and we’ve configured it to de-anonymize specific job titles from the company-level data captured when users visit a Marketo landing page. Once those contacts sync, we trigger a campaign for them.While I can see traffic to the landing page, ZoomInfo is not showing any visitor information—it indicates that there is no data available to de-anonymize. Is there a known issue with using the ZoomInfo tracking snippet on Marketo landing pages, or is there a specific placement requirement for the snippet? The snippet is working as expected on our website pages.

We started using Dynamic Chat and are finding some gaps in the reporting that we would love to have. Currently, the default just shows everyone that reached any goal within a dialogue. The issue is that 1 dialogue may have multiple different goals and not all are as  important as others (i.e. we have an MQL goal vs someone who is subscribing to receive content). We want to be able to see in the reports the conversations by goal to show over time how many people hit each different goal.What I’m also noticing is that the global reports are pretty good, but you cannot segment them at all by dialogue on that screen and it’s causing me to go into each dialogue to see it’s performance. I’d love a filter at the top for the different dialogues so you have it in 1 place and can view all the reports. I’d also like to have the ability to compare across different dialogues easier. Hi there,We’re currently building new email templates using the Design Studio email editor. While the new features are much more flexible from a branding perspective, we’re running into alignment issues with images and text.Specifically, when two modules are meant to sit side by side, the formatting breaks if the text lengths are not an exact match. If one module has more characters than the other, the alignment becomes uneven rather than shifting down while remaining aligned.In the previous email editor, longer text within one module would simply push content down while still keeping everything properly aligned. Is there a similar setting or workaround in the new editor to achieve this behavior? Inline modules because the text is the same line length Formatting gets messed up when the second title is longer and adds more lines vs shifting the text down and keeping the arrows are start of the titles inline

In these emails, we have a link that needs to dynamically include a value from a custom object field, and we also want the link to be trackable in Marketo so that we can monitor activity and measure survey link performance.Here’s what we’ve tried and observed so far: Lead Token Approach: Previously, when using a lead token in an email link, it was suggested to reference the lead token directly in the link. This made the link work dynamically and remain trackable. We though similar approach might work with custom object tokens, but it does not seem to behave the same way. Hi Team,We have a field in Marketo that stores a Rep Apply Link, which contains a unique rep code. Our goal is to extract just that unique rep code and use it within other links so that when someone clicks or applies using that link, we can identify which rep they are associated with.For example, we want to end up with a link structure like:http://google.com/?rep={{rep-code}}I have a few questions: Since the rep code would need to be dynamically generated per rep using a Velocity script, can we reference the resulting My Token directly in the email link? In June, Adobe Marketo Engage released a feature called Conditional Content for the new Email Designer. This feature provided an intuitive new way to personalize email blocks based on person/account attributes, offering more flexibility and control than the legacy email editor’s Dynamic Content feature.After the release, we discovered certain legacy tokens were not resolving correctly in the Email Designer. We have decided to temporarily disable the feature until we can resolve this issue. So, for now, you will no longer see the option to create new conditional content. If you have already created conditional content using this feature, the emails will still work as expected. All other email and related assets will also work as expected.   If you clone or edit emails that contain conditional content, you might see certain scripts native to the legacy email editor in the preview, instead of the visual representation of the conditional content.
