Sending a SMS message or automated phone call to agents when a live chat is requested would greatly decrease the amount of missed live chats. 
 

Pulse notification and browser notifications are simply not effective.

Dynamic Chat does not currently offer native SMS or automated phone-call alerts for live chat requests. Supported alerting channels are browser, in-app/Pulse, email, Slack, and in some sales workflows Live Feed/Sales Insight notifications.
