Editing HTML in Email

Error

I am trying to edit the code inside an email but when trying to save i am getting this error, i recently used this feature to edit background color and text for other email but same template and had no issues, is there any new update why i am not able to do this. ps: i am able to edit the template but not the asset when cloned from the template.

Hi ​@OmkarKa4 , this issue typically occurs when you don't have the necessary permissions to update the code. To check your permissions, navigate to **Admin → Users & Roles**, then click on your username to review your assigned permissions. If you don't have admin access, you'll need to reach out to your admin to have the appropriate permissions granted.

I am assuming that you are using the Email 2.0 Editor and not the new email designer.  

  • NOTE: Once you edit the email code, you break the relationship with the email template and the modules fail to work.
  • There have not been any email editor changes.
  • This appears to be a permission issue.
    • If you cloned the email that already had code edited it is an orphaned email so this may be outside or missing the role permissions
