Happy Monday, everyone! 👋 We kicked off our new monthly roundtable format today with a great turnout, 18 attendees and 59 chapter members and counting. We had folks join from across Ohio and well beyond, including Pennsylvania, Colorado, Massachusetts, and even Canada, spanning system admins, Fusion developers, solution architects, team leads, and end users. We also celebrated a first-time Summit speaker from our own chapter. We tried something new this month: we asked everyone for a burning question, a frustration, or a win when they registered, then talked through them as a group. Here are the main topics we covered, in case they help you or come up in your own instance:Preserving historical display logic on intake forms. When you turn off display logic on a request form, the historical summary it generated on older projects can disappear. The fix discussed: move the affected fields into a hidden or admin-only section, and keep the field sequence intact (the field carrying the "displ
We are excited to announce our Adobe Experience Manager Champion of the Month for May, @VidyR! Vidy was a clear choice for this recognition, as she truly embodies the spirit of the Adobe Champion Program. Not only does she actively raise her hand to support key initiatives like speaking on our upcoming Champion Application webinar, writing articles on Perspectives, and sharing feedback with our AEM Assets Product teams, but she regularly attends AEM Champion social events and fosters relationships outside of programming. She is a rising star in our community, and the program wouldn’t be the same without her bright personality. Thank you, Vidy, for your leadership and commitment to the Champion Program!

ResourceFilterStream: An Optimized Alternative to Query Builder in AEM by @mayursatav Introduction Efficiently querying content is a fundamental challenge in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). While the Query Builder is a powerful and widely used tool, it can become a performance bottleneck when dealing with large result sets, potentially leading to high memory consumption and slow response times. The ResourceFilterStream offers a highly optimized, server-side alternative for filtering resources, providing a memory-efficient and often faster solution for specific use cases. Understanding when and how to leverage ResourceFilterStream can significantly improve the performance and stability of your AEM application. Key points For developers building scalable AEM solutions, optimizing content queries is crucial. ResourceFilterStream provides a powerful tool for filtering large resource trees without the memory over
Just saying hi!
AEM as a Cloud Service now supports agentic translation powered by Azure OpenAI - replacing segment-level machine translation with an LLM that understands context, tone, and brand voice. I wrote a step-by-step guide covering the full setup: from creating an Azure OpenAI resource in Microsoft Foundry, to connecting it to AEM's Translation Integration Framework, to uploading brand style guides that generate enforceable translation rules. The article also covers what's not yet available (glossary and TM support) and where this is heading next. 📖 Full walkthrough: https://medium.com/@vorajineet/aem-meets-generative-ai-configuring-agentic-translation-with-azure-openai-11c4e617e2cf
I wanted to start a conversation around improving user experience (UX) and search visibility for digital aggregators operating in highly competitive seasonal markets. Specifically, when managing high-traffic regional travel portals, streamlining the booking funnel while maintaining local SEO relevance can be quite a challenge. For instance, looking at digital workflows in travel mobility hubs like Aruba, international travelers expect zero friction from the moment they touch down. By focusing on total pricing transparency, removing hidden fees, and minimizing terminal delays, platforms can dramatically improve conversion rates.A great example of this execution is how localized landing pages target inbound tourists looking for the Best Car Rental Deals at Queen Beatrix Airport (AUA). From an experience management perspective, integrating clear fleet filters, real-time vehicle availability data, and a 100% paperless reservation workflow directly impacts the customer success metrics.I woul
As generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) continue gaining traction across enterprise platforms, I’ve been thinking about how current AEM content architectures will need to evolve to support future AI use cases. Many AEM implementations were originally designed around page rendering, content reuse, and headless delivery. However, AI-driven experiences introduce additional requirements around content retrieval, context quality, metadata strategy, and knowledge organization. Some areas we’re currently evaluating include: • Content Fragment design and granularity• Metadata quality and governance• Taxonomy structures for improved retrieval accuracy• Structured vs unstructured content strategies• Content duplication and source-of-truth management• GraphQL delivery patterns for AI-powered applications• Preparing enterprise content repositories for future RAG architectures One challenge I see is that AI systems are only as effective as the content they’re able to retrieve and

In AEM Authoring (especially AEMaaCS), when working with Tab or Accordion components, there is a noticeable UX issue where after editing a component in a non-default tab/accordion panel, the view resets back to the first tab upon closing the dialog. This creates friction for authors when working across multiple tabs or deeply nested components, as they are required to manually navigate back to the previous context after each edit. Current Impact:Slows down authoring productivity Causes confusion, especially for business users Impacts usability for complex pages with multiple tabs/accordions Requires repetitive navigation, which is inefficient at scaleProposed Enhancement:Preserve the active tab/accordion state after dialog close Maintain scroll position and UI context during authoring Optionally persist author state (session-based) for better editing continuity Why this matters:With increasing adoption of structured components (Tabs, Accordions, Containers) in AEM Cloud implementation
Adobe Commerce performance mistakes I see in almost every auditAfter dozens of Adobe Commerce (Magento) audits across B2C and B2B storefronts, the same culprits keep appearing. And they're not exotic , they're avoidable.MISTAKE #1 : VARNISH MISCONFIGURATIONCache hit ratio under 60% on category/PLP pages. What I find: ESI not set up properly, TTL values too conservative, cache invalidation firing on every CMS save.Fix: Audit your Varnish VCL, separate CMS cache from catalog cache, use hole-punching for cart/account blocks.MISTAKE #2 : SYNCHRONOUS INDEXING IN PRODUCTIONFull reindex triggered on product save, blocking storefront performance. What I find: indexers still set to "Update on Save" instead of "Update by Schedule".Fix: Switch all indexers to schedule mode. Use cron for execution. Use partial indexing wherever supported.MISTAKE #3 : N+1 QUERIES IN CUSTOM MODULESCustom GraphQL resolvers hitting the database once per product in a listing. What I find: Third-party or custom modules byp
Workfront Planning currently offers the ability to share a public link to anyone without a Workfront license. The link allows them to access our information without being directed to our SSO. This is security issue for Marriott and we would like to turn this capability off.We would like an enhancement to be done to have this capability turned off.
We LOVE the new sharable report folders feature- it is really helping us with organization and auditing of reports. One thing that would really be great is if we could add a sharable folder to the report when creating or editing it. Right now That can only be done through the native reports tab.

Hi everyone! 😁Thought I’d share a tool I’ve used in my own consulting, and am now making open source. Hope others may find it useful. No pitch here, just sharing with the community.Working with Workfront Fusion scenarios gets complicated at scale. You're inheriting large multi-hundred-module workflows, tracking changes across environments, comparing versions, trying to figure out where a single field name is referenced. Without tooling, all of this becomes impossible. That's why I built Tekmera Blueprint Explorer. It has three core functions:🔹 search: find a keyword across multiple blueprints. Critical when a field name changes and you need to find every reference, or when checking for hardcoded values across scenarios. Has saved me hundreds of hours.🔹 diff: compare two blueprints to see what's changed between versions. Critical when promoting from dev to prod, so you know exactly what you're shipping.🔹 report: generate a high-level snapshot of what a Fusion scenario does. There are s
Hello all, Sharing Part 2 of my AEMaaCS security hardening series:Covering a few practical improvements we implemented around: block-first dispatcher security restricting Content Fragment access through service users safer ResourceResolver handling improved 404 handling reducing unnecessary content requests The focus is less on “patching vulnerabilities” and more on building a cleaner security-first architecture for AEM as a Cloud Service.Read here: Hardening AEM as a Cloud Service — Part 2: Block-First Dispatcher Security and Safer Content Fragment Access Would love to hear how others approach dispatcher hardening and publish-tier security in their AEM projects.
Real Time JourneyLet us have a moment of complete honesty here in the community. Keeping up with the Adobe ecosystem right now is both completely exhilarating and absolutely exhausting. If you have logged into Experience Cloud recently, you know exactly what I mean. Generative AI is dropping into Analysis Workspace. Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is rewriting how we stitch data. Real-Time CDP (RTCDP) is demanding instant activation. It is incredibly easy to look at this new landscape and feel drowned in acronyms and feature fatigue.Managing digital analytics at massive enterprise scale (currently at Verizon, with past lives at Deloitte and Micron), I see this friction every single day. We are all feeling the pressure to implement "AI personalization," but the reality on the ground tells a very different story.Recent data shows that only 7% of organizations have successfully embedded AI to deliver measurable results. Meanwhile, a staggering 81% of teams are missing real-time marketing
