  • smartsheet is a closer equivalent to excel for sure. Would they be willing to show you what they were doing in smartsheet? I just feel like this is on you to create an equivalent view in workfront that they can export as an excel file and we could maybe leave xml out of this. I mean, I don't know sm...

  • Can you share what you're trying to accomplish? I'm just curious about why you're choosing to export an XML and then open it in excel. What are you trying to get? Why would you not open the XML in microsoft project, or why would you not export the excel of the project instead, as a kickstart (or som...

  • I'm currently working on something similar at work -- one field that would indicate a changing list of choices based on whatever the primary custom form is (the custom form at the top of the list if you have more than one custom form).   The way it would work for me, would be to make it an external ...

  • My last column isn't getting cut off, but might be due to my report being narrow enough to fit within the confines of the dashboard. I would probably say not a lot you can do other than to:   1) review the content in your report and make some hard choices. Also consider merging your columns in order...

  • I believe the new doc approvals are replacing the current doc approvals functionality and there's no change to proof approval workflow functionality, nor is there any immediate plan to discontinue this.    cc to @jbarron

  • I'll move this into the discussion area because I think it's not a question that is necessarily going to have one answer. I also recommend that you consider submitting an Idea in this area: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/idb-p/workfront-ideas   Speaking purely from ...

  • no, this isn't how Workfront works at the moment (Aug 2025). The way most admins work around this today might be to use validation logic that indicates this kind of thing but force users to fill out an existing always-visible paragraph field with a more generic name, like "additional notes".

  • Use case: I wanted to develop a way to enter a time separately from a date. This is for a team who is planning on using workfront objects to store a delivery time (e.g. emails sent at XX time) but often had changes involving time (e.g. for this week, let's send all emails at 2AM instead of midnight)...

  • every line I put in for a new template, I give an arbitrary, unique ID, e.g. template1, template2, template3. Then in the template tasks tab, I reference this ID in the column for "setTemplateID".   So: - create new template, ID column = template1 - create new template task, ID column = task1, setTe...

  • Are you sure it's failing?   What I see, if I copy the calculation straight into my preview sandbox is that the calculation is initially successful, and if I change the system fields (for task constraint, issue type, or duration), the calculation will temporarily change accurately and then flip back...
