Apple has long positioned itself as a champion of user privacy, and with its recent iOS updates, it has reinforced this stance in a way that significantly impacts email marketing. With the release of iOS 15, Apple introduced Mail Privacy Protection (MPP), a feature designed to prevent senders from knowing when an email is opened and masking recipients' IP addresses. For marketers, this change necessitates a reevaluation of how email campaigns are measured and optimized. The first domino has fallen, and other technologies are likely to follow suit soon. As a marketer, it’s crucial to understand the implications of these changes and start planning accordingly within your organization. Understanding the ChangesApple's Mail Privacy Protection is aimed at enhancing user privacy by:Hiding IP Addresses: This prevents marketers from determining the recipient's location and other online activities.Disabling Open Tracking: By pre-loading email content, Apple’s Mail app effectively renders a
Hi everyone,Our team would like to customize the subject line of the "All Predecessor Task Completion to Task Dependents" email event notification to show the name of the task that is ready to be worked on vs the completed predecessor task name? Below is a snapshot of the Email Notification in question. The email you receive from this notification displays the Task Name that is ready to start in the body of the email, but there does not seem to be an option to choose this field to display in the subject line. Any ideas or is this just not a possibility at this time? Thanks in advance for your assistance._jonathan

How can I use Content Fragments (or a similar structured content approach) in document-based authoring with Edge Delivery Service (EDS), without relying on AEM's DAM?
HI,I am wondering what is the best way to add page specific javascript using AEM as a Cloud.Author should be able to control which flavor of javascript logic is included.Javascript code should be part of AEM Code Repository same as all other javascript (ui.frontend)My brainstorming results:- Add option to add a custom css class to each page, which "activates" the javascript flavour if present- Build a new component which is added to page, Author can select logic flavor by adding component- ...Your feedback would be greatly appreciated --Volker

Introduction The Journey Canvas visualization in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) helps analysts map and understand how users move through different touchpoints in their journey. It allows dynamic exploration of customer behavior patterns, interaction sequences, and engagement flows across channels and platforms. In this blog post, we'll explore strategies for using this visualization to gain meaningful insights into your customers' journeys. Think of Journey Canvas as a GPS for your customers' experience. Just as GPS tracks routes from start to finish, Journey Canvas shows how customers navigate through your touchpoints. The tool connects various touchpoints (called nodes) along the customer's path, like pins on a map. You can spot popular routes, identify where users leave, and discover which paths lead to successful outcomes like purchases. These insights help businesses improve their customer experiences and boost customer satisfaction. Similar to how a traffic analyst stu
Today, we will discuss one of the most vial parts of setting up your data collection for Adobe App Services: the datastreams. Now, imagine this: your organization has recently started using Adobe Analytics and you want to set up your data collection so that you can start generating reports. You excitedly sign into your Adobe Account, go to your Experience Dashboard, and click on the Data Collection service. However, now you are stuck on the Home Page and don't know what to do next. What should you do first and how do you navigate this service? One tool required to setup is the datastream. Before we delve into datastreams, we should do a quick high-level overview of how data arrives to the stream in the first place. Your organization is probably leveraging a data layer (often called digitalData) to surface page attributes and a tag manager like Adobe Tags to load the Web SDK library. When an event is triggered (likely a sendEvent() command), the recorded data is sent to the E
Hi Everyone, Is it just me or recently in our AEM Cloud Manager - Developer console - The consoles to view the configurations or services are sluggish. This is true for the classic console especially. Most of the times the classic consoles are timing out or saying "Failed to fetch" While the new console which is still in beta mode maybe loads flawlessly - I don't know if anyone else is facing this issue but just curious. We have had past issues in using the new Assets console which didn't offer the full feature parity for the old Assets classic UI so have been cautious to switchover the views without making sure all the features are actually present. Anyways, not an issue or blocker but wanted to know if anyone else has been facing this gentle nudge to the new consoles. Thanks, Rohan Garg
I have a similar issue to this one just slightly different. We have a custom Authentication Handler that implements AuthenticationHandler. In the extractCredentials method, the first thing that happens is a check for an existing login-token. If it exists, the method returns null to bypass the rest of the authentication code. The issue we are running into is when the login-token exists but is no longer valid, the user receives a 403 error. How can we check for existing AND VALID login-token?Also where can I see the OOTB SamlAuthenticationHandler code? It sounds like there may be a working example of this case in that code.
Where selecting a dropdown value doesn't update as expected. This problem has been reported by other users as well. Specifically, when attempting to choose an option from the dropdown, the selection remains on the initial value and doesn't reflect the user's choice. How to resolve the issue mentioned in below screenshot??

By @vinayso & @surebee In consulting, we frequently face challenges as technology develops and becomes more complex. As technology matures, sometimes there is a greater need to debug and troubleshoot issues that derail expected functionality. It’s one of the most common challenges that we see within consulting, and it’s commonly shared by clients as well. Whether it’s to meet a certain release timeline or to reinstate functionality, a quick resolution is always ideal. Our hope is that this guide can be approached from a broad perspective to help with any troubleshooting independent of the implementation being used: legacy at.js library or the latest Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Web SDK.Having the Right ToolsLike any craft, it is important to have the right tools to help you. Two essential tools for debugging and troubleshooting are the Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger Extension (available on Chrome and Edge) and the browser developer tools that come with all b

Do you know how sequential segmentation works in Adobe Analytics (AA) and in Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)? Not something basic (left) but something more interesting (right). Do you know what happens in this segment using Only After Sequence, plus Exclude, with multiple checkpoints, out-of-order container levels, and an After modifier? Do you know why this is valuable? That sample belongs to a use case to explore a visitor’s next visit after some key event, like an application submission. It returns exactly one visit for everyone who has applied - their next, consecutive visit. It works for the whole dataset, though qualified visitors applied on different days and engaged again at completely different times! There is so much I want to tell you and unlock for you regarding sequential segmentation in AA and CJA! This is the first post of my series Mastering Sequential Logic in Adobe Analytics and Customer Journey Analytics. I’ve specialized in this subject for many years at Adobe. My
After running an accessibility scan, we found some tables on our site that do not have header tags since they are display-only and are not conveying data. The recommendation was to add role="presentation" to these table tags.I added the following to /apps/cq/xssprotection/config.xml <attribute name="role" description="The 'role' attribute describes the role of an element in programs that can make use of it, such as screen readers or magnifiers."> <literal-list> <literal value="toolbar"/> <literal value="tooltip"/> <literal value="feed"/> <literal value="math"/> <literal value="presentation"/> <literal value="none"/> <literal value="note"/> </literal-list> </attribute>Unfortunately, the role attribute is still stripped out after retrying to add it in the RTEI then tried adding a regex to this, but that did not help.I also tried removing the literal-list leaving only the regex.I v
To access Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Managed Services) Author instances in QA and UAT environments from a non-Adobe environment, which approach is recommended: Setting up a VPN with IP whitelisting to access the Author instance directly Accessing the Author instance through the Dispatcher by enabling it in the Dispatcher configuration If there is any official documentation supporting the recommended approach, please provide the relevant links. Hi Team, I have created one report to list out the content fragment based on some criteria using sql2 query everything is fine except one, as soon as I open the report it runs automatically without asking about required user input. I am not able to understand why it is behaving like this. Please share the idea to fix this issue. ThanksUmesh Thakur
