By @amandadeasy and @chrismdavis Migrating Adobe Analytics and Target implementations to Edge Data Collection simultaneously is key to streamlining your setup and ensuring consistency across your Experience Cloud solutions. In previous blogs, we discussed the value of using the data object when implementing Edge Data Collection for Experience Cloud solutions, including Adobe Analytics. In this post, we’ll dive into using the data object to migrate mbox parameters for Adobe Target. For a complete step-by-step guide, check out this Web SDK migration tutorial for Target. Recall that the data object allows you to implement Web SDK without using an XDM schema. For Target, this approach also provides a flexible way to configure and pass mbox parameters without additional mapping, making implementation and validation even easier! Creating the Data Object Before you begin, ensure that your datastream is enabled for Target. If you haven’t already set
Hi Team, Recently I have faced a issue regarding cross domain tracking when user click on login which is added as button without anchor tag href. I have implemented appendVisitorIDsTo method and it will works fine when you link is having href but when user click on button which will not have anchor tag and href in this case Implement a robust cross-domain tracking solution using Adobe Analytics (AppMeasurement.js) where tracking parameters are appended to button URLs through the backend system. This ensures consistent visitor identification across multiple domains. I have worked with back-end developer and added the AppMeasurement.js and VisitorAPI.js script on head section so that when user click on button it will appendVisitorID and set it on next redirection URL so that when user lands on page it will add the visitors id in landing page and visitor it will not get changed. With this solution visitor identity is maintained seamlessly across domains, improving attri

I'm new to Designer and have no coding experience so bear with me. I'm using Designer 6.5 to create a form that has several check boxes. I need a warning message to appear if a user selects every check box. The message will state: "Please refine your choices". How should I go about doing this - with the script editor? If so, how? Or is there a simpler way? Thanks!
Hi all - We are seeing an issue with versioning of clientlib after every deploy. We do not see clientlib cache getting clear which results in previous version# being returned even for an updated js/css file after deploy. We have to manually go and "touch" js.txt/css.txt file to see updated version. If we reduce md5 cache size to 0, we see updated version# after each deploy, this leads me to believe that ACS Commons is not able to update cache after each deploy. Can anyone help?
Hi, In the AEM React SPA application when the author environment page loads the user is not able to see any of the components in the content tree and not able to configure the components. However when user clicks on Preview option and then on Edit then content tree loads up correctly and the components dragged on the page could be selected. This issue is on all the environments LOCAL, DEV, UAT and PROD. Thank you for your time, consideration, and experience! Regards,Varinderjit
Sending birthday emails right at 12:00 AM in the recipient's local time is an excellent way to enhance personalization and customer engagement. For example, a customer in Paris should receive the email at 12:00 AM Paris time, while a US-based customer will receive theirs at 12:00 AM in their respective time zone. This approach ensures your message arrives at the perfect time, making the customer feel special. Here’s a guide on how to set up and schedule such birthday emails effectively using Adobe Journey optimizer tool. Key Prerequisites Ensure the time zone field is available in the customer's profile. This can be sourced from the Preference Details field group. Timezone attribute would hold a string value. Make sure to add the correct timezone value to the profiles. Audience creation Use filters to identify profiles whose birthdays fall within a one-day timeframe. This ensures the journey targets the correct audience each day.

Upgrading from Java 11 to Java 21: A Guide for AEM Developersby @daniel-strmecki OverviewAs an AEM developer, staying current with Java versions ensures we can leverage the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. With Java 21 being the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release, it's a critical upgrade for enterprises and developers working on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects. Java LTS versions are supported for a longer period than non-LTS releases, making them ideal for production environments where stability and security are paramount. For example, Java 21 was released in September 2023 and will receive Premier Support until September 2028 and Extended Support until September 2031.In the latest release of Cloud Manager 2025.1.0, Adobe announced that they now support Java 21 in AEMaaCS. Java 21 will be enabled for all customers in February 2025, along with the rollout of a new SonarQube version. This article focuses on API features and enhancemen
Hi All,We have registration functionality on our website where an AEM sling servlet collects the data from form and inserts that record into a database table. AEM Sling servlet is invoked from Ajax call from client side. We suspect that there are fraudulent attempts by invoking the sling servlet directly from API client like Postman. AEM Sling servlet is registered with resource type. Is it possible to invoke sling servlet from API client like Postman? If yes, how can we block the attempts to the servlet. Please help here.
AEM Dispatcher: Using RewriteMap to define Redirects by Neeraj ChaudharyIn the world of web development, redirects play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of URLs, especially during site migrations, content restructuring, or SEO optimisations. For AEM, the Dispatcher is the go-to solution for managing these redirects. One particularly powerful but sometimes overlooked feature of the Dispatcher is the RewriteMap.What is RewriteMap?RewriteMap is an Apache HTTP Server feature that allows you to define a mapping of URLs or patterns to their corresponding target URLs. Unlike simple rewrite rules that are inline and singular, RewriteMap lets you centralize and manage a large number of redirects from a single location.Key Benefits of Using RewriteMap:Efficiency: It processes large numbers of redirects faster by avoiding repetitive conditional checks.Maintainability: Centralized redirection logic makes updates and management easier.Scalability: You can add, re

Hello community! I put this idea in the Workfront channel. I feel like this is a flaw in the system where we need to manually remove users from templates as resource managers when they are deactivated. We are a large org with a lot of templates and people! We just started leveraging Fusion to do this....but it would be nice to be an out of the box function! Please upvote! Hi Guys, Did any of you guys already tried the integration of OpenAI/ChatGPT with AEM 6.5 within the tool for enhancing content authoring capabilities? I would really like to get some wonderful insights on this as one of our client is looking forward for this integration. I would also like to understand how AEM(6.5) will be able to communicates with ChatGPTAPI/OpenAPI, and how to query to the API with different use cases if possible. I had seen few ref. with AEMaaC, however want to check if its possible with AEM 6.5. some similar ref. of what is expected : https://www.royalcyber.com/blogs/adobe/adobe-experience-manager-aem-co-pilot/ https://www.onwardpath.com/staging/4928/resources/enhancing-aem-author-experience-with-chatgpt cc: @arunpatidar @briankasingli
When we heard a client’s Marketo forms weren’t showing for users of AdBlock Plus, our first thought was they were embedding forms using the old marketo.com domain, which is blocked by privacy plugins. But no, that wasn’t it: the forms were on Marketo LPs, not embeds, and they were using a proper LP domain. (Also, for the record, AdBlock Plus doesn’t care about marketo.com. Only Firefox Tracking Protection and equivalent plugins care about that.) So what’s the deal? Well, here’s what you see in the console in Chrome: Pretty standard, just means a 3rd-party plugin did the blocking. Looking at the AdBlock-injected console tab shows the deeper reason: Now that’s interesting. See, the client is a media company, so naturally their B2B product is ad time. Their LP domain is https://ads.examplemedia.com, which fits the business. Problem: AdBlock Plus, uBlock Origin, and other plugins use the EasyList crowdsourced database to determine what’s an ad. And th

All the great articles about implementing a custom sync rule in one location. Enjoy!First, what is a custom sync rule? A custom sync rule can be used to keep specific records from syncing with Marketo. For example, if you have a lot of records without an email address it is recommended not to have them sync to Marketo. "Sync with Marketo" mysteries part 1 by Grégoire Michel "Sync with Marketo" mysteries part 2 by Grégoire Michel Greg's articles go in-depth about how the custom sync rule works. Finally, here are my instructions for creating a custom sync rule in SFDC including step by step instructions. Step 1 - Create the field for the Sync Rule in SFDC (Lead and Contact Object). Make sure you map the two fields together. Make the fields visible to Marketo. Check in Marketo to see if the field appears. The field in Marketo should be mapped to both the SFDC Lead and Contact Object fields. (Marketo Admin => Field Management) SFDC Field Example = Sync with M
False alerts are bad news. Apart from being very annoying, they can cause you to lose trust in your alerts, leading you to ignore real problems. Out of the box Adobe does not offer a way to turn off hourly alerts overnight. This can lead to false alerts being sent as volumes drop and the data becomes more volatile. However, there is an easy method to disable hourly alerts during specific hours... Imagine a scenario where you wanted to create an alert when 'orders' are below or equal to 1000, but you didn't want this alert to operate between 1:00am and 6:59am. Set up: 1) Create a 'hit' level segment called 'non-core hours' where 'hour of day' is greater than or equal to '1:00am' AND 'hour of day' is less than or equal to '6:00am' 2) Create a calculated metric called 'Metric for core hours order alert' using an 'if' function: Within 'logic_test' place your 'non-core hours' segment with the 'occurrences' metric nested inside it Within 'value_if_true' add a 'Static Number' wi
How would you approach the task to create manage last purchase / transaction / donation but taking account data management? One see these options:a) sent these as a an event and use Datasets override in order to keep some events longer then others (to keep CDP costs at control) b) CDP would be build on the top on EDW which would store that data and upload it on a batch basis to CDPc) build some sort of automation which would enable to transform event data into profile data. However CDP does not provide easy way to do that .... Other platform has features which enables such an automations ...
Curious how many of you have non-USD projects AND use billing rates...? If you do, you might want to look into an issue that we've found. I've submitted a ticket, but still waiting on a response. We discovered that on non-USD projects, the billing rate associated with a job role multiplied by the planned hours on a task isn't calculating the planned revenue correctly. After doing some digging and testing, we determined that it was only affecting those billing rates with just 1 rate and therefore no start or end date. Once we added a second rate with a start date, our planned revenue suddenly calculated correctly. And you can't add a start date if you only have a single rate on a billing rate, so you're forced to add a second rate even if it's the same amount. We've also been able to replicate this in a test environment in addition to our prod and sandboxes. If anyone else is having this issue and wants to reference my ticket, just let me know. This seems like a fairly new bug - in the
