Introduction One of the most exciting new features of Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is the ability to create derived fields. This powerful tool allows users to manipulate and transform data from the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Connections level to CJA Data Views, providing more flexibility for comprehensive and interlinked approaches to CJA data asset outputs. By taking advantage of CJA's report-time processing, retroactive, and non-destructive capabilities, users can extract even more value from their data with derived fields. In addition to the benefits mentioned above, derived fields can help users identify patterns and trends that were previously difficult to discern. This is because the ability to manipulate and transform data in this way enables more nuanced analyses and deeper insights. Furthermore, derived fields can be used to create custom components that are tailored to specific business needs, making it easier to track progress towards goals and objectives.
Looking at how to build search experiences into Adobe Experience Manager? Tune into the AEM search workshop on Day 2 of Algolia's developer conference, Algolia DevCon TECHNICAL WORKSHOP: Building an Algolia wizard experience on Adobe Experience ManagerThursday, July 29th, at 9am PST Developers can unlock search experiences for creators in the tools they use. Wrapping Algolia’s InstantSearch and AutoComplete frontend libraries within the tool enables developers to create a user friendly interface for creators to then build and manage complex and efficient federated discovery experiences without a line of code. Algolia has extended Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with frontend drag-and-drop components for search and discovery. Together we will share how this was designed and walk through a demonstration on AEM, as well as discuss how this pattern can be applied to other platforms. How Asset Insights with AEM Assets Work Together with Adobe Analytics: DAM Asset is published using AEM Author. Analytics, Pagetracker, and Custom Scripts are delivered to the page by Launch. Analytics gets added to Launch as an extension with report-suite details and a custom tracking code. Adobe Analytics captures Asset Impressions and Asset Clicks. Adobe Analytics captures Asset Insights into AEM Asset variable into a real-time data Report Suite. Real-time data collection and AEM Asset reporting require enablement for the Adobe Analytics Report Suite. Adobe Analytics facilitates report send for AEM Asset Variables (Impressions and Clicks). Enabling AEM Asset Reporting reserves analytics variables for tracking asset insights. Using Asset Insights in AEM: To display usage statistics for assets in Assets Insights, you must configure the feature to fetch reporting data from Adobe Analytics. Assets Insights functionality allows for the tracking of user ratings and usage statistic

Sometimes we receive requests to clear the dispatcher cache for a specific page. However, in most cases, we don't have the option to clear the cache for individual pages, so we end up clearing the entire dispatcher cache. This approach leads to heavy traffic on the production publisher instances and increased CPU utilization. To tackle this problem, I developed a dedicated Jenkins job that focuses on clearing the dispatcher cache for single or multiple pages. With this new job, we no longer have to clear the entire dispatcher cache whenever a request for page-specific cache clearing arises. This improvement brings about a significant reduction in traffic on the publishing instances and alleviates CPU utilization, especially when it's unnecessary to clear the entire dispatcher cache. Refer below blog for the complete Jenkins job code: https://ravipampana.blogspot.com/2023/06/jenkins-job-to-clear-dispatcher-cache.html @kautuk_sahni

Deploying Netcentric accesscontroltool with AEM Project Archetype 24 by Aanchal Sikka – Adobe Experience Manager... Abstract The current blog focuses on how we can deploy Netcentric AccessControlTool via the maven project created with Archetype-24. Challenges faced Issue 1: The latest Project structure recommends deployment of third-party packages via embed statement. Though, I was able to deploy “accesscontroltool-oakindex-package” via embed, “accesscontroltool-package” didn’t install. -->Resolution: Use sub-package for deployment of “accesscontroltool-package“ Issue 2: We had created a separate module for ACL deployment. The module needs to be deployed only after “accesscontroltool-package” is installed. When using Cloud Manager, the acl module was deployed prior to deployment of any other maven module. -->Resolution: Declare the dependency of acl module on “accesscontroltool-package“. Also assure that the cloudManagerTarget is set to none. Issue 3: Custom user groups are c

For marketing teams with tight timelines, how do you get leadership approval and alignment on creative feedback quickly and efficiently? Background: We have 1 day to get leadership approval from 3 key leaders across the business (leaders from creative, merchandising and campaigns). These 3 leaders have a very busy schedule, typically have very limited availability and don't review creative on their own successfully or sometimes contradict each other if they do review in a silo. If the creative team has questions about the feedback, responses are delayed due to their limited availability. We would like to avoid stretching out the timelines needed for projects in order to meet the quick turn needs of the business. What we do currently: We have a 1 hr meeting every day with the 3 leaders to review all creative that is ready for them that day. Stakeholders, requestors, creative team and leadership are all present to discuss the feedback, provide background on the project and alig

Deliver exceptional enrollment experiences with Adaptive Forms for AEM Sites pages by Khushwant SinghIn the digital age, providing an exceptional user experience is crucial for the success of any website. One way to improve user engagement and convenience is by providing great enrollment experiences. AEM Adaptive Forms stands as the premier enterprise-class solution, empowering you to deliver such unparalleled enrollment experiences.Earlier Adaptive Forms were available as standalone forms, those could be embedded within a Sites page, but had a complete separate ecosystem for form creation and maintenance. Moreover, customizing Adaptive Forms Foundation Component often required specific knowledge. Now, with the release of Adaptive Forms Core Components and Adaptive Forms Container for AEM Page editor, you can create Adaptive Forms directly within the AEM Page Editor and AEM Experience Fragments. You can also convert an Adaptive Form added to a Sites page to an Experience Fragment
We are working on multiple projects, which all root from the same sub-node and somehow the two different projects have diverged on a root node to the project.Project 1 path: /content/subnode/project1Project 2 path: /content/subnode/project2My problem is with subnodeProject 1 Installed first: subnode type is nt:folder (it actually doesn't have .content.xml in the source code)Project 2 installed second: subnode type is sling:orderedFolder Building locally works fine. Building through our build system to test environment fails to install the package and throws nodeType Constraint exception do to subnode. Now that the node is in the system as nt:folder I have a mental check to make sure all our projects under this node (6-7 projects). If any projects in a new environment get installed in a different order and happen to have a different node structure it breaks the build. Is there a safer node type that won't throw this exception and can just be overwritten for each project? Should I just mak

Hi,whenever we collaborate on something with the brand portal using the Asset contribution folder, we don't see who has uploaded the image in image properties in the brand portal. Also, this user id is crucial for us to flow back to AEM to know and understand who has published the image back into the AEM.Any Idea how we can achieve this? Thanks,
