How to prevent Profile from Re-entrance in Read Audience Based Journeys?

Avatar

Level 2

I am looking for ways to prevent users from re-entering same journey again. From AJO docs, Incremental load prevents users who have previously qualified; However, if a user's profile changes and they drop out of, then later re-qualify for the audience, they may still re-enter correct?

How can we make sure that they never enter the same read audience based journey?

There are multiple, effective approaches to handle this scenario that can prevent profiles from reentering into the journey flow:

  • Utilize the Global Exit Criteria (Audience-Based):
    • This is often the most direct and simplest method for immediate exclusion. By defining a global exit criteria, the journey can be set up to automatically remove profiles that meet specific conditions, regardless of where they are in the flow.

  • Establish an Exclusion Audience for the Initial Entry/Read Audience Activity:
    • This approach involves creating a feedback loop between the journey's message sent status and entry conditions.
