Hello community! Excited to be here and to answer your burning questions on Journey Optimizer!
Let us know if you have any questions for us.
As AJO and RTCDP built on top of AEP, 80 % of functionalities would be shared by AJO and RTCDP
What are the functionalities missing in AJO which are available in RTCDP?
RTCDP supports activations/destinations, AJO is missing activations.. but with direct mail , AJO also supports destination. Please share functionalities missing in AJO which are available in RTCDP.

@Anuhya-Y thanks for the question! Adobe Real-Time CDP and Journey Optimizer are both built natively on top of Adobe Experience Platform, as you mentioned, and compliment each other in many ways. Customers of Real-Time CDP are looking for more sophisticated data ingestion, data manipulation, and data egress use cases as well as activation to non-engagement systems and social systems. Real-Time CDP also has sophisticated partner data connections. Direct Mail serves a specific use case for activating content to a customer's mailbox and does not replace Destinations.
Definitely these two product capabilities are tightly aligned and are brought even closer together with upcoming functionality in Audience Composition. With AJO's native channel support there is the ability to provide rich authoring tools, personalization, preview and simulation and built-in reporting.
Thanks @JasonHickey
I agree data egress use cases ,activation to non-engagement systems and social systems can be done by RTCDP not possible with AJO
Why is sophisticated data ingestion, data manipulation not possible in AJO , would like to understand the limitations?
Are there any other functionalities missing in AJO which are available in RTCDP apart from destinations?

Hi @Anuhya-Y - it is perhaps easier to think of them as use case based modules that are unlocked with various configurations of the products built on a common platform instead of comparisons between them. It isn't a matter of something being missing or "not possible", only what configurations of use cases require which capabilities. All of these items are native to Experience Platform. If you'd like to chat more deeply about this, reach out to your account or partner manager to set something up!
Thanks @JasonHickey

Can we publish a quick comparison of the significant standard features between the two licenses and call out the guardrails with each license type? Eg: what's the definition of "more sophisticated data ingestion" in RTCDP, and what varies? Also, call out what additional add-ons can be purchased eg: Data Hygiene
Hi @ChetanyaJain for this topic I would encourage you to work with your account manager and refer to the Product Descriptions found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/legal/product-descriptions.html
Are there any social media delivery channels planned in AJO product pipeline?
How is data privacy/governance would be handled in Decision management, AI models ?

The benefit of having the real-time customer profile in Experience Platform means that you can orchestrate profiles through a Journey Canvas and then activate them to social channels. Today you can accomplish this either through a custom action in AJO, or you can include profiles that have completed specific Journey Step Events in an audience that is to be activated through RTCDP destinations. We will continue to evaluate how thee two solutions can work better together.
@Ivan_Mironchuk how is data privacy handled when custom action is in place to activate data to 3rd party tools?

Hi @Anuhya-Y - you can see how we approach consent here (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/journey-optimizer/using/privacy/consent/opt-out.html?lang=en) and how it relates to decision management specifically. We have a lot of exciting work planned for how it impacts AI/ML. Currently consent is managed manually in the decision scopes of decision management.
Hi @Ivan_Mironchuk, @pfransen, @JasonHickey , @SHausmann
Does Direct Mail capability in AJO allow sending offer decisioning data as part of the extract sent to the vendor? For example, profile A is eligible to receive offer A and can that be included in the DM extract that is being sent out?

@SatheeskannaK YES - Text-based offer decisioning is supported in the upcoming Direct Mail channel.
Thanks, @Ivan_Mironchuk. Is that limited to support only text-based offer decisioning? or does it support other types of offers as well?

Can you expand on what you would be looking for in this regard? Keeping in mind that the file export is ultimately a text file.

@Ivan_Mironchuk, I want to include the Image URL as part of the export that I'm sending. Does it allow us to include it as part of the file export?

I think that would work. I've used Offer Decisions to create text offers to change images with URLs as the text or just local image file path i.e. ./image1.jpg, ./image2.jpg. Conditional rule builder will also work within Direct Mail authoring for capabilities to change image path based on attribute or segment.
