Nag, What versions of the SDK are you using? The Visitor ID is available in all modern versions of the SDKs. Documentation can be found here. Can you also please contact Client Care so that we can investigate your issues surrounding hits not being sent, this is not intended behavior and is something we would like to resolve for you. Cory, Customer support is correct, it's no longer possible to set RSID or tracking server programmatically in any of the 4.x libraries. We have moved to a configuration file to support a variety of upcoming enhancements (including post-release configuration changes, points of interest updates, and a few other tasty features we're not able to talk about yet). I can totally understand how this can be frustrating initially -- especially if you're used to the previous way the libraries worked -- but...

Re: iOS SDK clearVars() usage

Dhana, If you use the track/trackLink call, they both support an additional dictionary of key value pairs called "variableOverrides". This dictionary allows you to bulk-set any of the standard vars for that call only, using their standard names (eVar1, prop2, etc). This would get you the benefit of the one-time data, but not require the use of processing rules. The drawback is you do not get to use the convenience methods (trackState, etc), and those calls would have to be generated manually via...

Dhana, Give your sequence of events, I'd recommend a slight modification:1. call setPersistentContextData to set the data that will be common across all calls.2. invoke track/trackLink and send the call-specific evars/props as part of the variable overrides dictionary. This will ensure that the evars/props are only sent with the specific call(especially important in any modern, multi-threaded environment), and will remove the need to call clearVars or set your persistent data more than once. -Pe...

Dhana, clearVars() is intended to be used to reset all "persistent state" variables, i.e. variables set with the setEvar/setProp/etc calls. We would strongly recommend that you use the track methods that package the data with the call (trackAppState to attach context data, or track to attach context data and variables), as this is the safest and most-efficient way to send the data. You can find the documentation on all methods here. Regards,Peter FransenMobile Engineering Team Lead

Nag, The iOS library will record crashes in a similar fashion as long as the lifecycle events are being captured. Regards, Peter FransenMobile Engineering Team Lead

Nag arjun, The iOS library does not capture stack traces, it merely detects when a crash has occurred and increments the crash metric. We are investigating providing full crash logs in a future release, but we do not have that functionality at this time. -pete

You can also use the Mobile Services interface (http://mobilemarketing.adobe.com) to download the SDK for your specific application, and the .JSON file will be preconfigured for you with all of the required settings for your report suite. -pete

Jeff, Are you sending the data to the same report suite as qa/dev/stage, or are you switching the targeted report suite at the same time? If so, you may have a timestamp/offline mismatch (Just like Cory did above). In cases like this it may be a faster resolution for you to contact Client Care directly, as they have access to the details on your account and can discuss in more specific terms. Cory,The iOS hits are not timestamped (i.e., offlineTracking is set to false), whereas your Android hits are timestamped (meaning offlineTracking is set to true). The reason you're seeing data for one and not for the other is due to the fact that the report suite configuration must matched the implementation(timestamped report suites must have the library configured for offlineTracking=true, and vice-versa for non-timestamped).In the hits you posted, the timestamp variable is actually ts, the t ...
