Adobe Journey Optimizer

Hi does anyone else have the experience in AJO where you assign a different image for dark mode, but the formatiing is completely off and connot be adjusted? My image in light mode is fine, but when I add the dark mode image it left alignes and no matter what i do i cannot center align it? in fact the settings under dark mode affect the light mode images. Anybody worked successfully with this ? txMarc

After the latest AJO release in January 2026 we have experienced some strange changes in the email designer. There is a feature in the designer that lists out all the links used in the email, allowing you to change the links from the list directly without going into the different content block to do the same work. Nice feature. In case we use fragments when creating emails. And in the fragments again we use variables to select your country and language. witch again decides what link that will appear based on your variable settings. Now we see that this list is listing out absolutely all links in the code, also those that is not been shown/used based in the variable settings. This is really confusing for the end users, that get lots of links in the list they don’t know what is. Can this be solved in an easy way, just showing the actual links that will appear in the email when it is sent.   

Is it only because Adobe wants the customer to buy additionally AT? Totally not understandable :) 

Hi Team, I was trying to create an email subject for an API Triggered Transactional Campaign (all the values are received from JSON payload for personalization) using the language attribute that exist in the payload with values EN and FR. I wrote this code as shown in image, but it didn’t work.. Can anyone guide me how can I create a conditional email subject line with personalization fields using context variable from the Payload.

Hi Team, In AJO, few data from other journeys are also inserting into the current running journey. I have applied all the possible validations, but this issue has not resolved. What could be the issue? Please help me to resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am working in a system where the same email address can be associated with multiple profiles.  The profiles need to be distinct, however for the purposes of this email send I do not want the same email address to be contacted multiple times, even if each profile would qualify independently.  Previously in Adobe Campaign I would just dedupe my audience on email address. I am trying replicate this kind of behavior in a journey in AJO.  One thought was to use exit criteria for the journey and exit any profiles where the email address had received the contact, but that still means in the initial touch in the journey there could be duplicate email addresses. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation and if so how did you manage it?

We are experience lot of strange tings happening to out email when they are created during AJO updates. It seems to have some connection to our created email fragment that uses variables. Since it suddenly becomes problems with them, for a day or two. Then it goes back to normal. What happens is that fragments that uses variables, has a set av default values. In the templates where fragments is used and the default variables is changes to something else, they are reset to default in the templates they work on when the release is ongoing. This causes a lot of problems since out fragments has language and business areas values - when this changes it all becomes wrong. The logo changes to another business unit, and the footer becomes footer for another country and language. Can somebody confirm if our theory is correct, that a AJO release can effect emails that you are working on during the release.

I want to use the split helper function in Adobe Journey Optimizer to separate a phone number coming from a journey event into multiple parts. The phone number is stored in the field context.journey.events.1278567881._floridapowerandlight.journey.additionalPhone, and my goal is to split this value using a delimiter (for example, -) so I can access each segment individually. However, I am encountering syntax errors when trying to use the split() function, which indicates that the field or context where I am applying it does not support PQL expressions.I need this result(234-456-7890)

When I try and add an asset to a content template in AJO I get this red warning symbol. When browsing for the images we can see them but as soon as you choose it, it then fails. This is a new AJO instance and we cannot get it to work with any AEM Cloud assets. We also have Assets Essentials which works but don’t want to use that as all of our assets are in AEM.  Steps to replicateAdd image block Browse asset Browse through AEM DAM (can see assets) Add asset Error I assume this is a permission issue somewhere but cannot find the root cause.

I’ve noticed a change in behavior when adding images to AJO Content templates via the AEM asset selector. Previously, the selector would persist in the last-used subfolder for subsequent image additions. Now, it resets to the root directory every time a new image is selected, forcing manual navigation through the folder hierarchy for each asset. Is there a configuration or setting to restore the previous behavior where the specific project folder remains open?

Hi,I’m trying to call the Twilio Messages API (WhatsApp) from a Custom Action.Twilio requires application/x-www-form-urlencoded POST bodies (To, From, Body in the request body).However, in Custom Actions, even when the content type is set to application/x-www-form-urlencoded, the payload appears to be sent as JSON or query parameters, not as a true form-encoded body. This results in Twilio errors like:21604 – A 'To' phone number is requiredThe exact same request works via curl and Python (requests.post(data=...)) but fails from AJO.Is it a known limitation that Custom Actions don’t support true x-www-form-urlencoded bodies? Are there plans to support non-JSON request bodies?Thanks!

Im curious if others have implemented the use of multiple short codes for SMS journeys in AJO. As an enterprise business, having a short code per brand to allow for customers to opt in and out of specific brands seems like a no-brainer, but it seems AJO may not be equipped to handle that without a custom solution. Anyone have a similar experience with SMS in AJO?

Hi,I’m trying to build an audience in Adobe Journey Optimizer / AEP Audience Builder UI to target profiles whose birthday is in 4 days.The birthday field is a date attribute:birthdateLoyalty I would like to understand how to correctly configure this using the Audience Builder UIIn the UI: The operator occurs is not available. I only see relative date operators such as “is in next X days”, “is in last X days”, etc. My questions are: Is “birthdateLoyalty is in next 4 days” the correct and recommended approach in the UI for birthday use cases? Does the Audience Builder automatically ignore the year of the birthdate and evaluate only day/month? Is this approach safe for year boundaries (e.g. birthdays on Jan 2 when today is Dec 29)? Should the audience always be set as Scheduled (daily) for this type of logic? Any confirmation or best practices from Adobe experts would be really helpful.Thanks in advance!

Has anyone faced an error while adding mp4 video in the InApp channel for AJO. Hi! Since there is no option to de-duplicate by email in journeys, is there a workaround to achieve this with for example segments or condition (functions) in a journey? Thanks! 

Is there a way for test push in Campaigns? or using Simulate Content?

Hello,  I need some help. I’m trying to use the aggregate function to create an audience. My criteria is: Transacation Date >10 days from Current Date Specific currencyID codes AND Amount Value = 1The profile can have up to 5 currency ID’s. I’m trying to create an audience that when I sum up the Amount, I only select those where total is <=4. I keep getting profiles where the amount is 5. I’m at a loss because this aggregate is not doing what I assume is should be doing. Any assistance would be appreciated. 

I am currently looking for ways to easily monitor our AJO journeys. As we create more and more, I was hoping there was a way to track our active journeys + what audience is tied to the journey. We used the adobe AI for a bit but are looking for a more scalable and repeatable way to do this. We also looked into using CJA, but it seems you aren’t able to get journey specific details.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all, I have a bit of an urgent ask. We’re trying to track email opens and if a user does not open an email we want to add them to a suppression audience. When looking into this, it seems like the interaction type = open event gets triggered automatically even if an email is not opened. We’ve tested this with 5 different profiles and noticed the same behavior.  Has anyone encountered this issue and what could be a potential way to resolve this. Thanks

Hi, I’m looking for guidance on reporting for journeys that have gone through multiple versions.Each time a journey is updated and republished, a new version is created with a new version ID, and reporting metrics appear to reset at the version level. This makes it difficult to analyze performance trends over time when a journey has evolved through several iterations.Is there a recommended way to view reporting that aggregates all versions of the same journey??Thanks in advance!

Hi Team, I have created three audiences (A, B, and C) in AEP and merged them into a single audience (ABC). This merged audience was used as an input in AJO for execution with standard exclusions applied. After the run is complete, I want an audience-wise count—for example, the counts for audiences A, B, and C. Please do the needful. Regards,Yashwanth
