Job Description

As an Adobe Analytics Consultant, you will be part of our experienced Professional Services team. After an extensive ramp-up and integration period, your key responsibilities will include

What you’ll do

  • Assist customers and partners in project implementation, mainly in product expertise but also in Project management when necessary, development, testing and training,
  • Contribute to product implementation/customization,
  • Create implementation plans and estimates for new and existing clients in the territory you will cover,
  • Contribute in delivering Adobe Analytics projects on time and on budget,
  • Provide feedback, summary and information about projects situation (Difficulties, risks, successes, opportunities, etc),
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with other Adobe Analytics entities to optimize the use of resources,
  • Works closely with Sales, Pre-sales and Support to ensure smooth handover,
  • Develop productive working relationships (eg. information sharing) with Adobe Analytics teams in other territories (APAC, US, etc)

 

What you need to succeed

  • Proven experience in enterprise application within a J2EE environment including Java Server Pages, and related technologies
  • Proven experience in web analytics technology, either Adobe Analytics or our competitors
  • Strong skills in SQL and database design, XML and Javascript
  • Proficiency in HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, SOAP, ExtJS etc
  • Good presentation and customer facing skills
  • Marketing domain knowledge could be a strong “nice to have” capabilities.
  • Optimizing web solution and ensuring performance requirements are met
  • Agile development methodology experience
  • Ability to travel within country

What is the opportunity?

The Digital Analytics team is part of Bankwest Digital team. The team has a broad mandate to support the evolution of the bank's public websites, online banking and mobile apps using data. As Bankwest's Personal and Business customers increasingly interact with the bank digitally there is a growing need for actionable insights to drive product and investment decision about new capabilities. Joining the Digital Analytics team you will participate in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of methodologies to ensure the highest quality software. You will implement and maintain digital data layer to standardise and distribute data to Bankwest systems. You will be the lead point of contact for our Tag Management platform.

What will you do?

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate into analytics integration and technology strategy and requirements
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders around analytics tagging, data validation and data integration
  • Using the Digital Measurement Framework as guide, oversee the implementation and usage of the Digital Analytics Platform to collect data required by Product Owners, LOBs and other stakeholders
  • Define analytics Quality Assurance and testing activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
  • Administer Adobe Tag Management System for Bankwest digital properties
  • Validate and debug analytics implementation issues
  • Setup and maintain multiple tag management and analytics accounts to drive efficient solutions
  • Guide key stakeholders in the appropriate implementation and validation of new tagging requirements and fixes, and ensure existing tracking remains intact
  • Pilot and implement new functionality on Bankwest's digital properties
  • Act as key technical support for internal users of Tag Management System and Digital Analytics Platform, troubleshooting and dealing with Vendor Support teams when required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3-5 years front end web development experience (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
  • Experience implementing web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, SiteCatalyst/Omniture/Adobe Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics Premium/360 or Webtrends
  • Experience with Tag Management tools such as Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager (DTM), Ensighten, Tealium or Google Tag Manager
  • Familiarity with front end SPA frameworks such as Angular and React preferred
  • Deep understanding of the DOM and the page loading lifecycle (familiar with synchronous versus asynchronous loading)
  • Deep understanding of HTTP and Web APIs (consuming REST and SOAP APIs)
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and time management skills
  • High energy individual who can drive change and manage multiple implementation projects
  • Enjoys collaborating with other team members and stakeholders

Role:  Senior Software Engineer
With your exceptional technical skills, you can design, configure, operate, administer and develop, as well as integrate, Adobe Analytics with the Adobe Marketing Cloud to achieve the business goals of customer acquisition, conversion, and attach. You can systematically and methodically identify dependencies, develop, document, and UAT the solution. You know how to step back and look at the big picture, as well as write specs for developers and “roll up your sleeves” to carry out projects end-to-end.

The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Adobe Analytics, as well.  Our culture demands that you bridge between talking to business users and collaborating effectively across organizations like Customer Analytics and Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of tools including Adobe Analytics (aka SiteCatalyst or Omniture), Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, ClickTale.
  • Use of Adobe DTM to deploy measurement strategies
  • Build tools to monitor our analytics implementation and alert teams if the systems fall outside of SLAs
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and write clear requirements for implementation.
  • Liaise with our technology teams for analytics tracking and A/B test execution.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and data validation, identify data collection issues and gaps, recommend and implement fixes.
  • The individual will need to work directly with business analysts, product owners, front-end developers, and testers.
  • The ideal candidate is proficient with JavaScript programming and preferably experience with web analytics applications.
  • Excellent coding and documentation skills.

Requirements:                 

  • BS in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 3- 5 years analytics, marketing technologies, and testing
  • Self-motivated; independent, organized and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable when working across multiple product teams.
  • Expert in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON and DOM

Preferred:

  • Expert in at least one scripting language such as PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby.
  • Fluent in writing SQL queries for data manipulation.
  • Experience with ClickTale, Google Analytics or similar technologies
