Organization: Marketing Technology
The Marketing Technology team works closely with multiple business units throughout the company to help drive adoption of marketing technology tools and support Chegg’s growth.

Role:  Senior Software Engineer
With your exceptional technical skills, you can design, configure, operate, administer and develop, as well as integrate, Adobe Analytics with the Adobe Marketing Cloud to achieve the business goals of customer acquisition, conversion, and attach. You can systematically and methodically identify dependencies, develop, document, and UAT the solution. You know how to step back and look at the big picture, as well as write specs for developers and “roll up your sleeves” to carry out projects end-to-end.

The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in Adobe Analytics, as well.  Our culture demands that you bridge between talking to business users and collaborating effectively across organizations like Customer Analytics and Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of tools including Adobe Analytics (aka SiteCatalyst or Omniture), Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, ClickTale.
  • Use of Adobe DTM to deploy measurement strategies
  • Build tools to monitor our analytics implementation and alert teams if the systems fall outside of SLAs
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and write clear requirements for implementation.
  • Liaise with our technology teams for analytics tracking and A/B test execution.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and data validation, identify data collection issues and gaps, recommend and implement fixes.
  • The individual will need to work directly with business analysts, product owners, front-end developers, and testers.
  • The ideal candidate is proficient with JavaScript programming and preferably experience with web analytics applications.
  • Excellent coding and documentation skills.

Requirements:                 

  • BS in Computer Science or related fields.
  • 3- 5 years analytics, marketing technologies, and testing
  • Self-motivated; independent, organized and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable when working across multiple product teams.
  • Expert in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON and DOM

Preferred:

  • Expert in at least one scripting language such as PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby.
  • Fluent in writing SQL queries for data manipulation.
  • Experience with ClickTale, Google Analytics or similar technologies
