Analytics Cloud Technology Consultant
Job Location: Carolina, PR
The Challenge
The Analytics Cloud Technology Consultant position is a client-facing role requiring both technical and business/marketing knowledge and skills. Analytics Cloud Technology Consultants work to gather and understand their client’s unique business and technical requirements. Leveraging those requirements, they develop and build customized solutions to meet their client's needs with the Adobe Analytics and/or Audience Manager platforms.
In addition, consultants help each client implement Analytics and/or Audience Manager tracking code throughout their websites and digital applications, perform quality checks to ensure that the implementation work has been completed successfully, and diagnose and solve technical issues when they arise. While not a programming position, it is a technical job with constant customer interaction. In addition to the implementation work, consultants work with clients to drive value from the Adobe Analytics Cloud platform through improving their reporting, audience segmentation, and analysis efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s website/mobile app architecture, advertising platform, digital business model, and digital marketing strategy
- Gather, document, and help form/guide client business requirements, key performance indicators, and other functional and/or technical requirements
- Design customized solutions and technical tag implementation strategies that include tag management best practices
- Generate customized data collection code, measurement tags, and SDK configurations
- Support client’s developers and third parties throughout the implementation process
- Validate and debug implementation and follow through on issues until resolved
- Manipulation of JavaScript as needed to customize web analytics solutions
- Advise key stakeholders and drive client success based on clients most important business drivers
- Interact frequently with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person—including interaction with marketers, analysts, web developers, and C-level executives
- Communicate confidently and proactively with customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Manage customer expectations appropriately and keep projects on schedule and within scope
- Become an expert in the use of Adobe products and the methods by which they can be used to effectively optimize digital experiences
- Work to educate clients on the best practices in relation to their specific industry and key business requirements
- Keep accurate daily records of client billable time and provide customer with weekly reporting on project status and hours usage
- Some technical writing and PowerPoint presentation creation
- Some manipulation and usage of DSP’s information and knowledge of integration points
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 5+ years’ experience working in web analytics, digital advertising, or a related field
- Solid understanding of digital marketing
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, CORS, and other web standards & protocols
- Intermediate-to-advanced JavaScript skills
- Passion for the digital domain and use of technology to solve business problems
- Solid understanding of general business models, concepts, and strategies
- Solid understanding of data reporting and digital advertising best practices
- Be self-motivated, responsive, professional, and dedicated to customer success
- Possess an innovative, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills – both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be a team player, and manage change effectively
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
- Some travel required
Special Consideration Given For
- Previous experience working with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, or similar tools
- Previous experience with tag management systems and data layers
- Website optimization consulting experience
- Web development experience
- Experience with single page application and/or responsive web design frameworks
- ERP, CRM, SaaS, or other software implementation experience
- Deep vertical industry experience (e.g., retail, media, financial services, high tech, etc.)
- Expertise with mobile, video, or social media analytics
- Master’s degree in business, information systems, or other related advanced education
