Authors: @agregg @ben-maloney @danny-miller Data Governance, honoring consent preferences, and data access control are three foundational pillars for building customer trust and are critical pieces to get right during your Adobe Experience Platform implementation and ongoing use of the platform. According to Adobe’s 2022 Trust Report, 79% of consumers stated that they were concerned about how companies are using their data. We are starting a blog series that will cover how different tools within AEP can support each of these pillars. Today, we’ll focus on Data Governance and AEP’s DULE (Data Usage Label Enforcement) framework. First off, let’s talk about what we mean we say “data governance”. In this context we are referring to restricting the usage of data outside of platform due to organizational needs or contractual obligations. With so much first party data available in the tool and cross-channel activation opportunities that bring many dif
Test Automation on AEMaaCS (part 1) by @daniel-strmecki Introduction AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) shifts Adobe Experience Manager from a release-based model to a continuously delivered, cloud-native platform. Manual testing simply can't keep up with the pace of deployments, so test automation is now even more important to ensure quality, performance, and stability. Therefore, the move from on-prem AEM to AEMaaCS also demands a shift in testing strategy. An important consideration is that Adobe-developed code is continuously updated and merged with customer code, which needs to keep up with it in every release. This shared responsibility model increases the risk of unintended side effects or regressions, making automated regression testing even more essential. In this post, we'll explore different test types recommended for use on AEMaaCS projects. In part one, we'll examine unit, user interface (UI), and frontend vs backend performance testing. Then, in part tw
As seasoned Marketo Engage users, we’ve built sophisticated lifecycle models, orchestrated complex nurture programs, and fine-tuned our segmentation strategies. But with the introduction of Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B (AJO B2B), many of us are asking: how does it compare—and more importantly, how does it complement what we already do in Marketo? Marketo Engage: The “OG” and Proven Powerhouse Marketo Engage remains the gold standard for B2B marketing automation. Its strengths lie in: Lifecycle Management: Granular control over lead progression and scoring at a per-record level. Programmatic Flexibility: Supports nearly every B2B use case. CRM Integration: Deep native integrations with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. Tokenization and Personalization: Scalable personalization across channels, deep persona- and activity-based personalization B2B: Journey Intelligence at the Account Level AJO B2B is a complementary layer built on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). It introduces ca
Hello Experts, I have issue with overflowLeader processing in pages other than first one. In my logic I am dynamically hiding some columns based on the data (zero columns are hidden). This is implemented and works very well but only on 1st page. Required columns are hidden in overflowLeader and data rows:I even changed the label of one of the columns from the code to check if specific data can be accessed. It looks good. But on the second page everything falls apart:Font sizes, .presence = "hidden" settings, even the simplest .rawValue = "TEST"; setting is not applied. Similar setting (font sizes, hiding of columns works fine for data rows - that is why the layout is broken on second page).I am looking for your kind support to help find a way of accessing overflowLeader properties on the second (and subsequent) pages as it seems that my: data.Body.Table.IM_TAB.overflowLeader::initialize is working for 1st page only. I tried all the events under it ... no luck 😞 All hints ar

I am trying to leverage Adobe PDF Auto tag API. I already have all the PDFs hosted on AEM assets. I am looking for OOTB way to generating asset id for the pdfs to perform the API operation without need to uploading the PDFs to Adobe server again.
Hi All, Brainstorming some way to manage the Integration Service Account in Workfront. As we are slowly moving from API Keys to OAuth2 Authentication. It would be interesting to know what the best practice or approach to manage it. I notice for OAuth2 Authentication can only create up to a total of 10 OAuth2 Applications, and this would be an issue as we might be exceeding it. Thanks in advance! Regards,Bryan
Imagine you are collecting data from your website via streaming using HTTP API. As people browse and do things on the site, that data is being collected. You wish to create audiences using that event data and want to activate those audiences to a cloud storage destination such as S3 or SFTP. However, you are aware you are unable to map experience event data within the destination connectors. This makes it impossible to activate the audiences to such destinations. Secondly, imagine once on the site, people can either authenticate (log in) or choose not to (unauthenticated/anonymous users). In cases where an individual arrives at the site multiple times in a month but does not log in, you want to collect behaviors of such anonymous users over time until they eventually log in. Once they do, you wish to connect their past behaviors to their current known identity. How do you design a data model that allows you to accomplish all of the above? There are a few approaches
Smart Crop coordinates rely on the aspect ratio. This means that for the different smart crop configurations within an image profile, if the aspect ratio remains consistent for the additional dimensions in the image profile, the same aspect ratio will be transmitted to Dynamic Media.Consequently, the Smart Crop Editor will recommend the same cropping area. As content admin, you can always go in smart crop profile and update the rendition as per your business need if you are not happy with the auto cropping performed by Adobe Sensei. I have captured the steps below for reference.Step 1: Open the image by double clicking it. Step 2: Click Smart Crop from action bar in the top. Step 3: Edit the smart crop rendition by adjusting the blue border. Step 4: Save once done with editing. Step 5: Publish the image.

Hi Marketo Community, @shannonma6 and I presented at the February 2025 Marketo User Group on one of our favorite topics: email operations. From improving deliverability to surfacing meaningful metrics, Shannon created this blog to give a high-level summary of the strategies and best practices we covered during our session. Building and Protecting Your Sender Reputation Your sender reputation directly affects whether your emails land in the inbox. These are some of the foundational steps every team should be following: Authenticate your sending domain: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are essential. BIMI can also enhance brand recognition. Warm up new IPs or domains: Start slowly, sending to your most engaged users first, and gradually increase volume. Maintain list hygiene: Remove invalid or inactive contacts regularly. Email validation tools are helpful for staying ahead. Stay consistent: Maintain a steady sending volume and cadence to avoid deliverability spikes. Avoid “no-reply” senders:

I'm generating AEM pages using AEM Sites preset with custom component mapping with existing editable template. In the pages created links are not getting generated for glossary. For citation according to documentation it is supported only in Native PDF. Also for foot notes it is coming as a single line of text with no links.Currently I'm looking at using post processing workflows. Would like to know how we can process the pages created to create links for the same.
Self Service flow steps (SSFS) are a powerful way to integrate with third party applications and to build custom workflows that can't be achieved in Marketo alone. This blog post will give you a Replit repository that you can clone to get started and it will walk you through the code in the repository so that you can make it your own and bring SSFS into your Marketo instance. Ok so we all know what a SSFS looks like inside of Marketo but what happens when the SSFS is executed in a smart campaign flow and the data is sent outside of Marketo? There is a server set up to catch all this information, process it, and then send the information back to Marketo to update the lead record. Don't be intimidated by the word "server", this is just somewhere we have hosted our SSFS code so that it is constantly listening out for information sent from Marketo, ready to process it and send it back. This hosted code for the SSFS can be referred to as a "service". I have seen
Is AI coming for my job? Lets face it, that question hangs in the air. In the world of Marketing Operations (MOps) – where we orchestrate the complex symphony of marketing technology and process – the rise of AI feels particularly potent. It promises automation, efficiency, and insights at a scale that seems almost... threatening. The narrative often paints AI as the disruptor poised to dismantle roles built on process and precision. But hold on. Lets deconstruct that fear. Is AI really an extinction level event, or is it the ultimate leverage point? NYU Professor Scott Galloway breaks it down succinctly, with his characteristic bluntness: “AI wont take your job. Someone using AI will.” This shifts the frame entirely. It’s not about being replaced by a machine, it’s about being outpaced by someone who masters the new tools. The challenge isn't the technology itself, but how we adapt to it. For Marketo professionals, adept at navigating sophisticated campaigns and wo
