Grab Images from Web (under Email Editor » Email Actions and the equivalent spot in LP Editor) is a cool tool, but it’s subject to common web security restrictions. So a page that looks fine in its own browser tab — like your own corporate site, the principal place you’d (legally) grab images from — can nevertheless return an error when you try to scrape its images from the Marketo UI: There are a few possible causes (more than one may apply): the site requires the Referrer of image requests to match its own origin, an age-old way to block hotlinking the site requires a session cookie of some sort, even if it’s not an authenticated session the site uses other mechanisms to detect and reject spidering attempts With Grab Images From Web, Marketo’s back-end server makes an HTTP GET request to the site. This is an anonymous, direct request with no Referrer. So even if you’re logged into the remote site in your browser, that

Sneak peek: Adobe Journey Optimizer by Digitalum Abstract At Adobe Summit 2021, Adobe announced a new tool called Adobe Journey Optimizer. At the time of the announcement, this tool was still subject to beta testing, but we can already share some early insights from the summit. Why Adobe Journey Optimizer It goes without saying that 2020 was a pivotal year, a year that redefined how companies engage with consumers. More than ever, the power is with the consumer. This consumer is more complex, and hence customer journeys are more complex. Consumers expect more and find it table-stakes now that all interactions they have with a brand, are connected across the journey. “Just in time experiences” is no longer a buzz-word, rather it’s the new reality. To address this new reality, Adobe journey optimizer is built with the promise to: Orchestrate and personalise connected journeys across any app, device, screen, or channel. How it works To deliver on this promise, real-time data

We created a simple servlet with a fixed path of /bin/demo/querybuilder. (service = Servlet.class, property = { Constants.SERVICE_DESCRIPTION + "=Query Builder servlet", "sling.servlet.methods=" + HttpConstants.METHOD_GET, "sling.servlet.paths=" + "/bin/demo/querybuilder" }) public class SimonServlet extends SlingSafeMethodsServlet { This works great on local sdk, and works hitting the cloud author instance. However, when we hit the corresponding publish instance, we get: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html> <head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head> <body> <h1>Not Found</h1> <p>The requested URL was not found on this server.</p> </body> </html> Any ideas how we get them onto publish? Our content gets pushed onto the publish instance automatically. A

We are exploring personalization options leveraging just AEM 6.5. We are planning to integrate AEM with Taxonomy management system called TopQuadrant EDG to use enterprise taxonomy for search and other use cases. I wanted to understand what role Taxonomy can play in personalizing AEM rendered websites. Note - I am familiar with usage of Adobe Target for personalization but never used just AEM and taxonomy for personalizing webpages. I know AEM has context hub which has limited features but I couldn't find any Adobe article which discusses role of taxonomy for personalization.
The steps to add a custom DITA-OT are documented in the section "Use custom DITA-OT plug-ins" of Installation and Configuration Guide On a high level the steps are: Get the basic DITA-OT If you want to obtain copy of out-of-the-box DITA-OT from XML Documentation, download it from path "/etc/fmdita/dita_resources/DITA-OT.zip" If you want to obtain a different version then you can download from dita-ot repo Make changes into DITA-OT like adding new plugin, or customizing existing plugins (refer example in related links section below) Upload DITA-OT.zip received to /apps/<project-folder>/dita_resources (create a custom project folder is a recommended approach) Add DITA Profile through Tools > Guides > DITA Profiles (use the DITA-OT path where the custom DITA-OT is uploaded, refer screenshot below) More Reading Customizing DITA-OT plugin samples

Hi all,we want to call the Analytics API 2.0 from our Java application. Therefor we generate an JWT token and with that JWT token an access token in Java. We used this tutorial: https://www.adobe.io/authentication/auth-methods.html#!adobeio/adobeio-documentation/master/auth/JWTAuthenticationQuickStart.md https://www.adobe.io/authentication/auth-methods.html#!adobeio/adobeio-documentation/master/auth/JWTAuthenticationQuickStart.mdNow we try to get a report from Analytics API with this access token but we always get the following error:{"errorCode":"invalid_token","errorDescription":"User associated with ims token could not be found or company not found.","errorId":"auth-xxxx-xxxx"}In case we use an access token generated with OAuth (and user credentials), the request to the /reports endpoint works well. We couldn't find a way to generate an OAuth access token programmatically without manually login at Adobe. So we used the JWT Token in Java.We use the Analytics API 2.0: https://adobed
DAM Is A Key Ingredient For Your Digital Experience Delivery by Nick Barber & Emma Huff Abstract Digital customer experience has become a top-three growing priority, according to Forrester’s April 2020 COVID-19 Service Provider Pulse Survey. As companies look to deliver more personalized, engaging (and lower-cost!) experiences on their digital channels using assets like video or even 3D renderings, an increasing number have turned to digital asset management (DAM) to better manage the creation, production, and distribution of these types of rich media content. It’s a critical element of digital experience (DX) delivery and a core component of the modern digital experience stack (see graphic below). We recently interviewed 15 enterprises to hear their DAM best practices and lessons learned. Organizations focused on three key areas to make their DAM selection and deployment a success Read Full Blog DAM Is A Key Ingredient For Your Digital Experience Delivery Q&A Please use thi
Personalization of content using ContextHub | AEM 6.5.5 by Nikhil Kumar Abstract Hello AEM folks, As we know that personalization of content is one of the key feature of AEM nowadays. In this article we will have a look how we can personalize our content using contexthub and later in coming articles I will cover personalization using experience fragments as well. To enable personalization using contexthub on a website we need to add below snippet to page component. 1 Where to look for contextHub parameters? So before starting with the implementation of contextHub, let’s go ahead and see it’s parameters and where they are stored in AEM. In the ContextHubPersistance object in the local storage all the OOTB properties like geolocation, recently viewed and many more can be seen. Creating Audiences for Personalization: Audiences are just the condition using which we want to target the content. So will now go ahead and create a new Audience. 2021 Adobe Summit Recap: In a world where Multi-Channel Marketing scales, Marketo rules by Jordan Kanter Abstract Imagine you are sitting in a movie theater (or in this case, 2021 Adobe Summit). The lights drop, the green preview screen comes on, and the booming voice of Don LaFontaine comes over the loudspeaker: “In a world where Multi-Channel Marketing scales, Marketo Rules” This year’s Adobe Summit introduced us to such a world. In this world, new business can come from any channel; you can switch very quickly between very interested and uninterested, ready for change and not so sure, high or low value. In this environment, organizations are looking for new tools and approaches to adapt. Introducing a New B2B CDP Last week, Adobe unveiled an advanced B2B CDP (Built on Adobe Experience Platform, or AEP) that on its face is game-changing. Leveraging real-time rules, business users can develop custom segments and activate on those in real-time to build complex sales funnels. Adobe’s
Adobe helps The Co-operative Bank grow customer engagement 700% with in-app messaging by Abigayle Konys Abstract Since its birth from a co-operative movement almost 150 years ago, The Co-operative Bank has taken a different approach to banking. As the UK’s first ethical bank, its commitment to strong values and sustainability has been reflected in its customer-led ethical policy which drives everything it does. In the community, this means maintaining ten years of carbon neutrality and zero waste to landfills, raising awareness of economic abuse and pioneering banking that makes a positive difference to the lives of its customers and communities. So, when the bank recognized a shift in the way its customers were banking, from in-branch to online and mobile banking, it relished the opportunity to explore new digital channels that would improve the banking experience for its customers. Through its mobile banking app, The Co-operative Bank implemented in-app messaging which would allow

Hi All,Greetings and Thanks for providing attention into this issue. We have provisioned new AEM6.5 instance on DEV and TST environments. We have built our app to be configurable via OSGi configurations, which is th AEM way. This works great locally against the cloud SDK.However, when we deploy to the cloud, the configMgr seems to be blocked. This means we cant edit any of the critical run time variables, such as timeouts, switching features on off etc. This is a huge problem. It would mean we have to re-write our services to read config from pages of the CMS or similar, which is a significant re-write.Is there any work around to being able to view and edit our OSGi configs at runtime?Adobe MUST remove these features from the cloudSDK if they are not available on any cloud env, otherwise we are developing for a completely different system. this also includes the excellent i18n translation system, which is now removed on the cloud, but is still present in the SDK. This also required a significant rewrite, and is a very poor solution now.
Steps to Merge XML Data in Existing PDF Forms by Suvadeep Dey Abstract The business use case An organization wants to provide a mechanism to its customers to dynamically populate their demographic data from some other 3rd party system to an offline PDF form, thus saving their customers a lot of time, providing a better experience and automating the form fill-up process. Prerequisites 1. AEM 6.4+ 2. Forms Add-on 3. AEM Maven project should have the following dependencies (artifactId) adobe-lc-forms-bedrock-connector adobe-aemds-core-docmanager adobe-aemfd-docassurance com.adobe.aemfd 4. Acrobat PDF license to edit the PDF files Solution The solution is to use AEM Forms technology by leveraging the Forms API to automatically merge the XML with the existing PDF forms. Prepare the offline PDF for merge functionality to verify whether the field names in the PDF meet the XML specification with respect to XML tag naming. The field names in the PDF correspond to the XML tag names. This can
