Hi, I'm seeing a strange behaviour happening on publisher machines, after they are online for a couple of days. After working normally for a couple of days (2-3), without any warning or visible issue, we stop getting access to specific resource on publisher console like, host:port/miscadmin or host:port/system/console/configMgr If we try to hit one of those URLs we got a 504. We are still able to use and login on host:port/crx/packmgr/index.jsp for instance, and we are able to load pages and content from this publisher instance as well. I couldn't find any issue on CPU or memory, instances are not using any swap, and have free memory, and CPU never goes over 20% on this instance.error.log don't have any logs when we trigger the 504 URLs.At last but not least, the issue disappears after a restart for a couple of days/hours. And on that, the instance wouldn't stop running the usual /crx-quickstart/bin/stop command, it needs to be killed. I'm using Adobe
Hi All, May I know how can we restore crx-quickstart backup for publish instance. The instance is hosted on linux server. Any pointers may help .
Marketo's URL field type is a weird wee beastie. For one thing, it’s not long enough to fit all URLs (you can store decoded URLs to save space). For another, although a URL value must begin with http:// or https:// when validated on a form (indeed, absolute URLs must have a protocol part[1]) including the protocol means a link to the corresponding {{lead.token}} won’t be tracked: <a href="{{lead.token}}"> The latter quirk, of course, is also true of String and Textarea fields, as well as Text {{my.tokens}}. In order to be trackable, tokens used in hrefs must start with the hostname. Then you hard-code the protocol in the email asset or template, outside of the token: <a href="https://{{lead.token}}"> This rule is easy to follow for {{my.tokens}} (as long as you knew it when building your templates). But for custom lead fields, whether they’re of the named URL type or one of the text types, it’s not
Hi Team, AEM TO S3 Blocker UseCase -> AWS libraries for S3 connector configs not resolved in AEM as a cloud service instanceEnvironment – AEM As a cloud service Issue – Dependency not resolved – We are using the AEM as a cloud service environment and we are finding issues in using the AWS SDK libraries using as a maven dependencies. How to Choose the Right Approach When Creating Adobe Target Offers by Bounteous Abstract If you have both Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Target licenses, you have a few options of where and how you can create offers. In my previous blog posts, I discussed how to integrate AEM with Target, both for AEM 6.4 and AEM 6.5. Now the question is when to leverage the integration and when does it make sense to use the Target interface instead. Targeting Approaches Before attempting to answer that question, I want to discuss the differences between the three approaches. Approach One: Target UI-Only The most obvious approach is to leverage the plain old Target interface for all your targeting and personalization needs. With it, you’ll have the full suite of Adobe Target features at your disposal. Most commonly for websites, you’re going to use the Visual Experience Composer (VEC) to create your experiences. This method works regardless of which content management system (CMS) you use

I need help understanding why Adobe is reporting more reloads and page views for a page in the Entry Page report, than in the Page report. Both reports are in the same workspace, reporting the same (completed) time frame (not reporting today). My understanding is that the Page report includes traffic totals for each page listed, and the Entry Page report is a subset of those totals, reporting results for the page, only when it was an entry page. Total visits and entries make sense between these reports. How can a page have more page views when it was an entry page than when it was viewed at any point in the visit?Testing the top 10 pages indicates some pages are reporting as expected, others are not. Do we have an implementation error?Thanks-Jane

AEM DAM Bulk Metadata Update using CURL by Stories by Singaiah Chintalapudi on Medi... Abstract This article describes using CURL to update bulk metadata in AEM DAM. For this activity, I am updating the dam:assetState property value to: “processed”. Steps: 1. Get a list of DAM Asset path from AEM. The DAM Asset report can be generated based on your use-case. I am generating a report with the dam:assetState property. 2. You can go to: http://localhost:4502/mnt/overlay/dam/gui/content/reports/reportlist.html and create a new report 3. Select “Files” and give all the required info on the next screen and proceed further. Here you can click on Add under “Custom Columns” and give column name: Asset State and Property to map: jcr:content/dam:assetState and click on Create. This generates the CSV report. 4. Download the above CSV report 5. Since I want to filter the assets which has “processing” state and copy the paths to a text file (dam_assets.txt). Do not copy the headers of columns (firs

Multi-Lingual Personalization at Scale with Experience Fragments (AEM and Target) by Praveen Penupati Abstract AEM integrated with Adobe Target makes life easier for content creators and marketers. They both work in the tool of their choice and the integration allows them to focus on what they do best independently. Managing personalization for a multi-lingual brand is, however, still a big challenge. Wouldn’t it be dreamy if there was a trick to centralize multi-lingual personalization? How AEM and Target work together By Integrating Adobe Experience Manager with Adobe Target, one can harvest the power of AEM capabilities of cross channel’s content delivery, multi-language site capability and responsive behaviour, with the intelligence of Adobe Target which can be used to serve relevant content to the relevant customer. AEM and Adobe Target combined to facilitate the right customer with the right content in right language. Experience Fragments, created in AEM can be exported to A
XD Plugins Are Moving to the Marketplace in Creative Cloud Desktop by Adobe Tech Blog Abstract Last fall, we announced the release of the new Plugin Marketplace in Creative Cloud Desktop, providing Creative Cloud users with instant access to a full marketplace of Plugins and Integrations, right from the desktop, in the same place they manage their Creative Cloud Applications. Since then, many of you have been asking when XD plugins would be moving to this new surface, and while it took us a little longer than we’d hoped, we’re excited to announce that the migration is underway! Over the next few weeks, users of XD 40 (and above) will start seeing XD plugins appear in the Marketplace tab in Creative Cloud Desktop alongside a robust catalog of plugins for all Creative Cloud applications. For both XD plugin developers and XD users, the move should be a seamless transition. Today, clicking “Discover Plugins” in XD opens in a new XD window— post migration, the Creative Cloud Desktop app

I have a requirement to implement a facebook social-share option on the page. If we click the share option the page thumbnail image and page description should be posted to facebook and it should support sharing from experience fragment (Configured in Page property). We have followed the below article but the facebook app version used in the article is an old version and it looks like facebook has made many changes for the permissions. we tried requested permissions on developer.facebook.com for our app but it is getting rejected. The version we are using in v11. Can someone tell me if you are able to successfully implemented the facebook social share in your project, if so, please let me know the type of app permission we need to request and the app account type(Consumer or Business). As we only use this app to share our product details to facebook. we have even tried both account types but no luck./apps/core/wcm/components/sharing/v1/sharinghttps://experienceleague.adobe.com/do

hi , I am creating a migration tool in Java , to migrate content from another CMS into AEM pages. The data is in JSON format which consists of some metadata and HTML areas. I am converting the HTML areas into text component after migration in AEM , however the data is not displaying properly on the page. I see some weird characters after decoding the HTML in UTF-8 like ?? Is there a way to handle this in java ? I tried using StringEscapeUtils and JSOUP without any success. Thanks,Sam
