All, Is there a limit to the number of items in an ACS Commons generic list . The page just appears blank and a 500 error is thrown. Limiting to 6 entries or 4 helps. Anyway i can get around the issue? I am on aem 6.5.8
Hello - I was curious if anyone has looked at the new layout for Notifications in Preview? What do you think? I'm always up for change, but have to admit, I miss the date/time stamp being close in proximity to the actual notification. In Preview, the date (time seems to have been dropped) is all the way across the "great white divide" of the UI, pushed all the way against the right. It's so "detached" from the Update that I almost missed it. I think it would have been more helpful to have the Date (and Time) displayed on the left side, just before the Notification instead of all the way across the page. I like that the entire screen is utilized to spread the Update out. I just wish the same applied to the Project and Name fields. After approx. 40 characters, the Project and Name fields wrap to a 2nd line (🤢). It would be nice if the Project and Name fields were able to span the width of the screen

Hello, Has anyone noticed their data layer is unstable in production today? We had the issue in our UAT environment and we were told to change our extension. We corrected this and pushed our changes to production. In production, we are using the correct extension we pushed our code and we are still experiencing an unreliable data layer firing.
I need to unpublish several (1,000+) assets in AEM Assets to remove them from Brand Portal. I keep getting the message "Not enough rights to manage publication" when I attempt to unpublish a folder containing a large amount of assets. I am a member of the "administrators" and "admin" groups, and those groups are members of the "workflow-users" group. I am attempting to follow the instructions in this post: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/how-to-fix-quot-not-enough-rights-to-manage-publications-quot/td-p/389211. I do not know how to get to the useradmin page mentioned in the post to check the "admin" group privileges.

Happy Monday Marketo Community! In case you missed going through last month's (October 2022) product release notes or are looking for a quick recap of all the October 2022 updates, I've got you covered in this article. Dynamic Chat Application Updates -1. Auto Arrange Dialogues streams If you've worked with Marketo's Dynamic Chat dialogues in the past, you'd have an idea of how messy the dialogue stream canvas would become if you have too many dialogue cards and a complex flow. With dynamic chat's auto arrange dialogues stream feature, you can offload arranging all your dialogue cards and transitions with a click of a button. Dialogue canvas before utilizing the Auto Arrange feature. Dialogue canvas after utilizing the Auto Arrange feature. 2. Support for Additional Data Types Dynamic Chat now supports additional three datatypes (Boolean, Integer, and Float) that'll enable syncing and using diverse types of Marketo fields in the dynamic chat. 📣 This note from 2018 was moved from another section to be referenced in an upcoming post. This one's good for getting your know-it-all on. Despite it being commonplace to “fix up” email addresses by lowercasing them — or, in financial/government contexts, uppercasing them — email addresses are clearly defined as case-sensitive in the only standard that matters. RFC 5321 is unequivocal: The local-part of a mailbox MUST BE treated as case sensitive. Therefore, SMTP implementations MUST take care to preserve the case of mailbox local-parts. In particular, for some hosts, the user "smith" is different from the user "Smith". When an IETF RFC uses the keyword “MUST” it means business: you can't connect an SMTP server to the internet and claim it’s standards-compliant (as they all do) if it doesn't treat mailbox local-parts as case-sensitive.[1] (The local-part is the left-hand-side of an address, to the left of the @ symbol; the right-hand-side, the
AEM Adaptive Forms by Imran Khan Abstract AEM forms provides us a capability to create, update, publish and manage forms at run time. ⚠️ This code does not work in any version of Internet Explorer, as it relies on NodeList#forEach. It could be adapted for IE with a few more lines of JS. You probably know that email addresses are teeeeeechnically case-sensitive but, like most sensible creatures, you treat them as if they’re case-insensitive. (As Marketo Smart Lists obviously do!) Wouldn’t it be even better if they were stored in lowercase from any form fill? So even if someone’s browser autofills timroberts@EXAMPLE.COM from an accidental caps lock long ago, or they typed TimRoberts@example.com out of habit (it definitely happens!) you get timroberts@example.com in Marketo. Easily done. There are 2 parts: 1. Using CSS to display the field as lowercase, regardless of how it’s autofilled or typed. CSS is cosmetic-only: the underlying field value doesn’t change. 2. Using JS to make sure the value is truly stored as lowercase. This

⚠️ This code does not work in any version of Internet Explorer, as it relies on URLSearchParams and Custom Elements v1. An earlier post showed how to append form field values to the Thank You URL’s query string, but admittedly hand-waved how you would output query params on that next page. Indeed, you might not want to output query values at all, just process them in JS. And if you do want to output, a full-fledged JS template engine (I’m partial to SquirrellyJS) is best. But maybe you don’t want to deal with the learning curve of templates. You just want the equivalent of a {{lead.token}} to pop into any HTML page (think of it as a {{query.token}}). Custom elements — which I was skeptical about for an embarrassingly long time — are a simple solution. One cool thing about CEs is that they’re “alive” from a JS standpoint, firing callbacks when they’re connected to the document[1], no matter whether they were in the original HTML markup

AEM - Restrict Component Editing and Allowed Only for Certain Users by Arun Patider Abstract Disable Component Editing via dialog except few users In AEM majorly content is created using component's dialog. Sometimes few type of contents is meant to be edited only by certain authors and are not suppose to modify or create by other authors. In this case how can we protect these type of components should not be updated by non-authorised users. In AEM when a component in a web page is rendered, an HTML element can be generated, wrapping the rendered component within itself. This primarily serves two purposes: A component can only be edited when it is wrapped with an HTML element. The wrapping element is used to apply HTML classes that provide: layout information styling information More info about Decoration Tag available at Decoration Tag If cq:noDecoration {boolean}, This property added to a component and a true value forces AEM not to generate any wrapper elements over the component.T

WCM Core Components Sling Models Interfaces Design by Brian Ka Sing Li, SourcedCode.com Overview While reviewing Adobe’s WCM Core components you may realize that the Sling model all have JAVA interfaces. Why do they follow this design pattern, and what benefits does it help to the overall design of their Sling models? In this article, I will share my understanding of why Adobe designed its Sling models like this. https://sourcedcode.com/blog/aem/wcm-core-components-sling-models-interfaces-design
Hi Guys, I'm doing an impact analysis of migrating from 6.2 to 6.5. I have updated the project to build our code successfully into a fresh instance of 6.5. Then I used the crx2oak migration tool (the latest crx2oak-1.8.6-all-in-one.jar) to migrate content to the new 6.5 instance with success. The pages on the site load successfully, but on opening components that use a multifield (granite/ui/components/foundation/form/multifield), the values of the multifield do not show in the dialog. The CRX however does contain the values, but they are not displayed when you open the dialog. They are blank. Instead of using the migration tool, I've also packaged and installed the content package via package manager, but no luck. I have tried the dialog conversion tool, no luck.Has anyone encountered this during an upgrade? Any suggestions on what to do?Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Emoji support in Marketo is, admittedly, somewhat arcane. You can use emojis everywhere: email Subject lines, HTML email content, landing pages, and even Text-Only emails. But you have to know how to embed them into your content. Some parts of the email editor strip out emojis (plus other high-Unicode characters that technically aren’t in the emoji-data block) upon clicking Save; other parts discard them upon Preview. So it’s easy to get discouraged when you try one or two methods and emojis silently disappear — even if you use the HTML entity like ᐗ. Sometimes people conclude that Marketo doesn’t support emojis at all. But it does! If you persevere (or search my posts on the subject) you’ll find the way to get them to stick around. For email body content, that way is to use a Text {{my.token}}. The token value can be either the HTML hex entity (ሴ) or the HTML decimal entity (Ӓ). I don’t recom
AEM Developers Courses 2022 That Really Helped Me by Brian Ka Sing Li, SourcedCode.com Overview There are a couple of courses that I would like to share that have really helped me, not just in interviews, but also in my daily AEM development regime. In my opinion, I think these are the best courses for anyone who is either getting started as an AEM developer or who is already working as an AEM developer for more than 2+ years. Even right now, today, since I started my AEM career in 2015, this course by far has really helped me by re-aligning AEM concepts and AEM development practices that are not in my every AEM development cycle. At the bottom of this article, take a look at the reasons how this course helped me. I believe any AEM developers at any level will benefit from these courses. I put together a course roadmap, step by step, that you should follow, to really help you learn. You should step through each and every course from 1…the-end-of-
