Over the last two weeks, we have looked at CJA Golden Nuggets and Tips & Tricks. Today we will look at best practices in CJA that can help your team work more effectively. Data friendliness The best practices we will explore today generally fall under the umbrella of things that make data easier to work with and understand. Making data easier to work with in CJA increases the efficiency and accuracy of analysts and other users. Adapting certain best practices also makes it easier for your audience to digest and understand the data. Approved Components & Tags For components that are frequently used and have been well vetted, admins can mark those components as approved. Doing so adds a checkmark to the component. Additionally, adding tags to components can simplify the process of finding the correct component. Depending upon your use cases, you might tag components in categories such as geo dimensions, experimentation, funnel, and commerce. &

It's very exciting to see increasing community member's participation in the brand new "IDEAS" section of the Experience Manager community. To better facilitate the interaction and make it more efficient the following guidance should be followed as a template when submitting a Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE/idea). This will ensure the required information is captured at the first step making the whole process more inclusive and effective. The required items in GREEN and optional items in BLUE. Please note that currently this section of the community take "only" ideas/feature requests for standard/core packages of AEM.When submitting an idea please note that:This section of the community is meant to accept technical improvement requests related to the product features and functionalities.Scope the proposed idea properly to a "specific" feature/taskAvoid proposing multiple ideas in one entryBe specific and clearly explain the idea to help us understand your proposal.Request f
I occasionally write an AEM related blogpost on Medium. But I was wondering if we can write them here or link to the Medium blogpost in the Blog section of this community. If so, how can we create a blogpost?
We are so excited to share that we’ve just published the next Adobe Workfront Cookbook – these are “recipes” written for you, BY YOU. In this cookbook, we look at how Workfront System Admins are communicating with their end users.Earlier this year, we interviewed a number of current former Workfront System Admins to learn how they communicate with their end users and, not surprisingly, confirmed that there really isn’t a “one size fits all” approach. Some Admins talk regularly with their end users, some only communicate when there are major changes. Some engage directly with end users, while others go through Group Admins or SMEs.This cookbook is intended to show real examples of how, when, and why your peers are communicating with users so you can create your own unique recipes without having to start from scratch. Inside you'll find 10 communications examples to explore – from how to share new features and enhancements with users, to enablement on basic processes, and more. While cert

I have a folder "/content/dam/abc" where i need to upload zip file then once i uploaded there will be custom workflow which will be triggered validate the zip size, folder count, subfolder count and other validation using some metadata property like "dam:Content", "dam:size", "dam:FileCount", "dam:extracted". currently i'm migrating the dam Asset workflow to AEMaaCs and where Asset compute service is interrupting the zip validation process. When Custome workflow triggered this value is not generated in cloud "dam:Content", "dam:size", "dam:FileCount", "dam:extracted" so the workflow is failing as the required property not available. Can any guide me how to handle this issue??

Dynamic Integrations in Adobe Franklin by Ritesh Mittal Is it possible to have Dynamic Integrations in Adobe Franklin -The Edge Delivery Services? And the answer is YES Overview AEM and Franklin offers distinct purposes for digital content management and experience delivery. Hi. I`m running a 6.5.19 version of AEM.Recently i had to replace one of my servers, making me notice that the new server (with a copy of the old one) has a size of 7GB. My backup server has a size of 20GB (they should be the same). I thought this could be resolved with a revision cleanup but i don`t know if that is not the solution OR if the revison cleanup is not working.Whenever i try to run the online revison cleanup manually it takes less then a second (when the guide says it can take up to 2 hours) and the same for the offline version. It says that the revison cleanup was preformed successfully put the size of the quickstart folder is the same as before then run and less then a second just seems to fast. What could be the problem? This is the result when i run offline revision cleanup:C:\AEM>java -jar -Dsun.arch.data.model=32 oak-run.jar compact install-folder/crx-quickstart/repository/segmentstoreApache Jackrabbit Oak 1.22.17Compacting install-folder\crx-quickstart\repository\s

Authors: Priyanka Sharma, Rahul Biswas, Hari Bhaskaran, and Sandeep Nawathe This article provides conceptual and deployment information about how we are unifying fragmented identities in systems of interaction through Adobe Experience Platform identity services. Improving experience has become a ubiquitous business strategy. Great experiences are the new currency of brand loyalty. Consumers expect more personalized and contextual experiences. However, in Adobe's 2019 Consumer Content Survey, 82% of consumers say they've received content from brands that isn't personalized, and 38% of consumers say this happens constantly or frequently. Delightful consumer experiences that incite return engagement(s) tend to have a common denominator: The journey is frictionless between the various channel and device touchpoints. Consider Forrester Group's earlier prediction – the average consumer will have 13 or more touchpoints with a brand before a conversion event takes place. Understanding where a

We all regret decisions in life; in Adobe Analytics we may regret storing a number in an eVar or prop! This is because unlike custom events, you can't perform numerical calculations (such as summing or averaging) on props or eVars.Obviously, you can make changes to your implementation to capture these values in a custom event going forward. However, what can be done about your historical data? Fortunately, using a combination of Classifications and Calculated Metrics this can be taken care of. Method To explain the approach, I'm going to use the example of converting from a three-digit number stored in a prop, to a metric. However, this method can be extended to cope with any number of digits and decimal places as well. Step1: Create classifications We are going to use classifications to split our number up into separate classifications, one classification for each individual digit in the number. In this example we are dealing with a three-digit number so we will need three classificati
Requirement: Any content change under var folder for a project specific path should be replicated to publish instance. Approach decided: Forward sling distribution. Post configurations deployment on cloud environment. Agent is getting created on environment along with all the configuration are also in place. For the content changes triggers are also working and request is reaching to agent, as we can see request in agent logs. Forward sling distribution is not working in AEM cloud. we are getting below error. org.apache.sling.distribution.common.RecoverableDistributionException: not enough rights Although same configuration we have used on AEM 6.5 local instance and it's working fine. We are not using default agents or service users. We have added all the required ACL's permissions to the user. We have add following configs for environments : Author Instance: 1. Forward agent config: {"name":"fwdistribution","title":"fwdi
