Currently, setting the default filters and groups in a Layout Template > “Home” > “Widget Settings”, changes the default filter for all areas of Workfront. IE if a user is on a layout template where the default grouping for the “My Tasks” widget is set to “Project”, all areas of Workfront where the user views tasks will be grouped by project. This is simply a poor UI choice - these settings should either only affect the home widgets, or they should be moved to a section of the UI that indicates they affect the entire system.

When the Interactive Proof of a page of URLs is opened in the Desktop Proof Viewer, the reviewers/approvers are forced to sign-in every time as the Desktop Proof Viewer does not appear to have persistent cookies, when reviewing content as part of an authenticated experience.The reviewers/approvers sign-in to display the Page of URLs with session data stored in a persistent cookie. Is there a way that persistent cookies could be enabled via the Desktop Proof Viewer or via some kind of settings change as part of the install?

Hi! I am creating a custom form on the project level, but would like for it to pull data from a specific issue from a specific task. Under the project, we have a task named, “Program Production.”  Within that task, an issue is created, containing the words “Code Request.” Within the issue, there is a field called, “Assignments.” This is the field I want to pull. To make this more complicated, occasionally the “Program Production” task does not have an issue. In this case, we would want to pull the “Assignments” field from the task instead. I want it to pull the specific person’s name, not the team/role.Is this possible?

Hey has anyone tried the Aprimo-Workfront Integration? Aprimo & Workfront: DAM Solutions for Content Optimization  Is it worth using or would a Fusion Scenario bear more fruit? I know sometimes these integrations don’t always do everything one wants them to do so I figured I’d reach out to see if anyone else has had experience with this. 

So I have a custom text field attached to tasks. I customized my project view to include this column. I tried adding text to these fields and it refuses to save inline. However, I went into the task itself, edited the task, and added text to the field there. I saved it, came back to the project view, and it isn’t showing up. But going back into the actual task itself, and editing, I can see the text I added to the field. Is there something going on with custom fields and tasks right now?  I found this issue: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront-known-issues/issues/new-workfront-experience/wf-current/wf-tasks-inline-changes-not-saving But it claims to have been fixed in December. I don’t know if this is related. Is there anything I can check? It’s kinda starting to put me in a bind. I’m rebuilding Workfront for a team that isn’t really comfortable with the tool. Hello! Is it possible to create for a report custom prompt a dynamic select? I want for the prompt to load all my projects from a desired program so I can make a chart for each of them without having to build a report for each project to create the desired chart, given that I would create more projects and complete some others. Thanks!

I’m working on updates to Workfront custom form in our Sandbox 1 environment. I also set up a report based on test projects completed using that form, but when I try to send the generated report to anyone, it won’t send. Can I NOT send a report in the Sandbox environment? 

Hi Team,We are currently working on a task-based report in Workfront. We have implemented parent and child project linking using cross-project predecessors.Our requirement is to display only the linked projects (i.e., tasks where the parent and child belong to different projects) in the report. We have tried multiple filters, but unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve this.Could anyone suggest a filter or approach to identify and display only cross-project linked tasks? 

Hi,I initially was trying to add a custom field from a task form into a project report.  I was informed that “Task custom form data is not natively available in a project report because tasks are a separate object. Even if you use text mode with nested (tasks) or similar, you can't directly pull multiple task custom form values into project-level columns. “One option I was given was to create a calculated field at the project level and use this but I’m having trouble with the syntax for pulling in the task fields.For example, one of the fields is “Project Planning Barriers” from the task form “Timeline Barrier for Project Planning”.  Can you give me an example of the syntax to pull that into my If..then statement?Thanks!Heather

Thanks to everyone who joined today’s INCREDIBLY INSPIRING workshop, Rethinking Resource Management the Agile Way at Advisors Excel, to learn about Advisors Excel’s 3-year transformation from a manual, rigid resource management approach to an agile, queue-based system in Workfront. Lindsey Brown ​@lindselib , Creative Operations Product Manager, and Cathy Clifton, Project Coordinator Director, explained how shifting most work into shared queues, introducing structured backlogs, and redefining team roles improved flexibility, scalability, and visibility while reducing stress and bottlenecks.   Highlights of the workshop included: They shifted 85% of work into shared backlog queues (“Friday” and “MARCO” queues) with automated prioritization using a custom priority score, improving flexibility and reducing bottlenecks. Key operational improvements included using queue blocks for capacity planning, standardized task durations (1 and 5 days) for accurate reporting, and increased autonomy

Hello, I am currently working on filtering a project report by task assignees manager. One of our design manager’s would like to see a full project report that is filtered for projects that their direct reports have been assigned tasks on. I think an exist statement would probably be the best way to do this but I could be overlooking something much simpler. If anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated.

When proofing a document I wanted to tag another approver and get their opinion about something on the artwork. However, it will not let me tag them, giving me the message “Your sharing permissions allow you to mention only people already added to the proof.”If they are an approver, wouldn’t they already be added to the proof? It seems that I can tag them in the updates (Unless it is an outside user, than I am unable to tag them at all - but I can add them as an approver)We used to have no problems tagging people that had Workfront accounts on our system so I’m not sure which update changed this, but would like to know how to fix it please.

Hi All, I created a user report and added a ‘Direct Reports’ column using the following text mode: displayname=Direct Reportslistdelimiter=<br>listmethod=nested(directReports)type=iteratevaluefield=namevalueformat=HTML The column displays correctly within the Workfront report and successfully shows all direct report names. However, when exporting the report to Excel, the Direct Reports column appears blank. Please advise whether this is a known system limitation, or if the issue can be resolved by adjusting the text mode configuration? Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
