Adobe Workfront

Overall, I am just trying to get a list of people who dont have any active assignments. I can't work out how to show different statuses to different groups for the same object - eg a project. As a project moves through different stages, we want to allow different user groups to be able to change the status - but only to statuses visible to that group. eg - to trigger an action in FUSION - that only that group can decide is appropriate. All I can find is that groups can be assigned to an object - and then the statuses available to that group will be available. Which means once I've assigned a project to a group - the statuses will apply to all groups seeing that project. This seems VERY restrictive. Has anyone managed to do something similar ? maybe FUSION changing the group assigned to the project as it progress through the stages ? Thanks in advance as always

Hello!I have a user who I recently had to update their email address. To do that, I had to deactivate him, update the email, then reactivate. In doing that, all the proofs he was a reviewer/approver on show him as (deleted). He can still see that he needs to approve the proofs in the widgets or through the email notifications, but when he tries to open the proof he’s told he doesn’t have access rights. Anyone know a work around? Justin

Hi, I’m having some difficulties determining the best way forward, as the Enhanced Connector appears to have a significant downside: assets must be uploaded to AEM manually. The main challenge is that, in order to upload an asset, users need to navigate through the full folder structure, which is unfamiliar to most Workfront users. On top of that, the volume of assets being created is simply too high to handle through manual uploads, making this approach impractical. Ideally, we’d like to automate this process so that once an asset is approved, it is automatically mapped to a consistent folder (e.g., content/dam/workfront) without requiring manual navigation. We’ve also explored the option of using linked folders, but this approach doesn’t align well with our project structure or data governance model. Is it possible to merge multiple videos into one proof review?

Hello! I’m trying to use logic on custom form but can’t get it to work correctly. I have two fields, both multi select. What I’m trying to do is if an option on the first field is selected, then the second field automatically selects an option. Is that possible?

In reading through some previous questions/answers, I think I'm understanding that the actual pdf proof is compressed or flattened into an image in the proofing tool. This is causing a major issue for us with a company-wide campaign. Our design has layers of transparencies and once it's uploaded into Workfront Proof, that image is altered and looks terrible. That proof, in the proofing tool, is what our end user must approve and it's just not accurate. We spend a tremendous amount of time dealing with this. If you can't view the proof how it's intended to look, then what's the reason for using the proofing tool at all. Does anyone else struggle with this? I would love to hear what your workarounds are. Is there anything we can be doing differently for this to look accurate once uploaded into the proofing tool. Are there settings in the pdf output that our designers should be using to remedy this situation. Is there anything within the our instance that can be changed by Adobe support t

Hi, I went through varies posts from accessRules to EXISTS filter to see if I can find projects where certain groups do not have manage access to the projects. 

Hi gang! Trying to figure out how many users we have associated with each job role (not just number, but names too). When I pull a user report with a filter of job role name is not blank, user is active and group it by job role name, evidently this only brings back primary job roles, it doesn't take into account any secondary job role. How can I also have visibility into secondary job role? So for example if I'm associated with A and B roles, I should show in the report under the A and B groupings.

I have just had my first experience of the new experience for the first time.  To say it is a retrograde step is an understatement.  There now appears to be no option to remove all assignees from a task without manually removing everybody by deleting them and it doesn't have the option to assign a different number of hours to individuals on the same task, thus creating extra work in having to duplicate for each assignee if you want to give them different number of hours.This really breaks a huge part of our work and processes.

I’ve created an External Look up Field that pulls the names of individuals on a team “Information Managers” I would like from that field to get the User ID related to the individual selected so I can create a $$USER.ID report.I know I could create a calculated field that has each member with their corresponding ID but looking to do something so I don’t have to update everything each time a team member is added or removed.Is this something that can be done at the Workfront level? The Ask: Create a task a report that shows me the approval task in the workflow with all the task data. Then show me an indicator if there are documents pending approval. (customer uses document approvals) Is this possible on a task level report? We have been using Workfront for about 4-5 years but we are just now starting to utilize the resource management tool. We will be adding planned hours and task assignees will track actual hours. We are questioning whether weekly status update meetings and other meetings need to be tracked for planned and actual hours? If so, how are they tracked? It may be a 30 minute meeting with 20 attendees. Does this mean we we plan for 10 hours on the task with each attendee assigned to the meeting task so each team member’s hours accurately reflect 30 minutes?  Thanks for any guidance

We would like to get feedback from our users in Workfront and are trying to figure out how to solicit and take in that feedback. We are looking specifically to get the feedback from team members who have submitted requests and we want the feedback on how we served the request. Their requests are always converted to projects. I have one person on my team who has suggested assigning a task to give feedback in the resolving projet to the requestor. The task would have a form to fill out. This seems like it will be confusing to the requestor - tracking the task, finding the form, etc. Has anyone solved for this and if so how did you do it? 

Hello,Is it possible to add a custom form to a dashboard?The custom form needs to be editable since people will have to fill it out and I also need to be able to download it as a pdf file. I am also open to add it via an external file, btw.The dashboard would be potentially linked to a project (ideally, I want to use this dashboard on all my projects without overwriting information).Asking this because I'm trying to find a workaround to make the form editable for teammates who don't have a Standard licence and also to review my whole workflow.Thank you!
