Mandatory Fields on Collapsed Custom Form

Is this a bug……...I’m seeing that if a collapsed form is never “opened”, even if there are required fields in the custom form, you can submit the form. In essence the required fields are not holding true.

I would submit this as a case to Support. With new functionality it can be difficult to determine whether something was intentional or not. So it’s especially important to go straight to Adobe rather than via the Community.

This is the same issue that we have had for years where if a form is no opened in edit, even though a field is required, the object could be closed.   I would be really interested to see if this is being corrected or what you hear back as well regarding required fields not actually stopping the closure of tasks/issues.   (Subscribed to your post!)

We needed to create business rules to stop tasks from closing, which works, but the business rule objects are limited to only 1 active object per action (e.g. Task Edit) which results in crazy large formulas.  Unfortunately this has led to enterprise wide issues due to incorrect updates within the large formulas that unintentionally impact other groups and processes.     I submitted an idea to help with that piece if you or others come across the same challenge -- Ability for multiple business rules with same object and operation
