Adobe Journey Optimizer

Hi,I’m trying to build an audience in Adobe Journey Optimizer / AEP Audience Builder UI to target profiles whose birthday is in 4 days.The birthday field is a date attribute:birthdateLoyalty I would like to understand how to correctly configure this using the Audience Builder UIIn the UI: The operator occurs is not available. I only see relative date operators such as “is in next X days”, “is in last X days”, etc. My questions are: Is “birthdateLoyalty is in next 4 days” the correct and recommended approach in the UI for birthday use cases? Does the Audience Builder automatically ignore the year of the birthdate and evaluate only day/month? Is this approach safe for year boundaries (e.g. birthdays on Jan 2 when today is Dec 29)? Should the audience always be set as Scheduled (daily) for this type of logic? Any confirmation or best practices from Adobe experts would be really helpful.Thanks in advance!

I am trying to send a comms to a random sample of 30,000 from a given audience. Initially I was looking to add a profile cap condition after audience read and prior to the email being sent.Will this provide a random sample, or does it read the first 30,000 profile of the audience?  Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a requirement where i have to get a dynamic value from the map, this map is stored on the profile of the customer. They key of this map has two components , one component that comes from context data and other component that comes from offer attribute, what i want to do is to append context data and offer attribute and fetch the value of this key from profile. The problem is when i use + to append them the + function always returns a double and hence i get an error that i can’t pass double as a key. I searched the documentation but there is no way to append two strings in AJO ranking.  Does someone has any idea on how to fix this. 

Hi Adobe Community, I’d like to ask for clarification regarding the new Decisioning functionality in Adobe Journey Optimizer: 1. Is this new Decisioning capability intended to replace the existing (legacy) Offer Decisioning feature?- If yes, do you already have a timeline for when the old functionality will be deprecated or disabled? 2. Or is the new Decisioning module meant to be an additional capability that will coexist with the existing one? 3. In the new Decisioning,, where can I configure Placements for web banners? In the legacy version, placements were clearly defined, but I’m not able to locate this option in the new interface. Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Hi Team,I’m testing an AJO Web channel (Inbound web) configuration and facing an issue where the experience is not delivered, and nothing appears under AJO→ Edge delivery in Assurance.Here is my setup:1.) Web SDK implemented via Tags(Launch)Datastream has : Ajo enabled, Offer decisioning enabled, edge segmentation enabledjourney is published, Profiles qualifies for JOAI segmentAssurance session connected and events are visibleQuestions: 1.) Is there any additional configuration required in web sdk to trigger AJO Web channel delivery(beyond renderDecisions and surfaces)?2.) How can we confirm whether the request is being evaluated by AJO vs ODE3.) Are there specific requriements around surface matching format(web://hostname/path)?4.) should the eventType be something for AJO Web Channel?Any guidance on what could cause AJO not to return propositions despite correct surface and journey qualification would be appreciated.Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,I am looking for a way to programmatically capture or reference the timestamp of the last node a profile passed through (Email - Pre Waits), directly within the Journey canvas (not via Query Service on the Step Events dataset later). I need to use the exact date/time a profile hit the Email step to calculate a Custom wait time.What I've tried: lastActionExecutionElapsedTime - but not sure if it’s helping me.Does anyone know of a way to "stamp" a profile with their last node date within the journey logic itself? Thanks 

I am implementing AJO Push Notifications using AEP Mobile SDK + Edge Network and facing an issue with push profile persistence.What is working: Push token and ECID are visible in AEP Assurance → Push Debug → Client Edge streaming validation is successful Hits are received and processed in Assurance Events are visible in AEP → Customer → Profiles Issue: All steps mentioned in the tutorial have been followed: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/platform-learn/implement-mobile-sdk/experience-cloud/journey-optimizer/journey-optimizer-push#create-push-credentials 

I do not see that available in the dool or documentation but maybe somehow its possible?

HelloWe’ve identified a critical issue regarding how AJO campaigns handle Offer Decisions. Currently, it appears the Offer Decision is executed at the publish date rather than the scheduled delivery date.For example, if a client prepares and publishes a newsletter on Friday for a Sunday 9:00 AM send out, AJO captures the offer snapshot on Friday. Consequently, offers that are valid on Friday but expired by Sunday before the send out are still appearing in the newsletter. Is there a way to ensure offer logic is evaluated at the time of sending instead? There is no API to publish a campaign on certain date.In this document https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/orchestrate-journeys/create-journey/publish-journey is says that when something changes in offer decision then journey needs to be published/unpublished but i am not talking about offer decision changes instead the offer changes. Thanks,Arpan

Does anyone have any experience using the Dry Run mode in AJO with either events as a condition within a journey or as an entry point?  I’ve been using it recently and whilst it works fine for batch qualified audiences, I’ve not seen any results when using events?Thanks,Paul

I’m trying to permanently Stop a journey that is currently in a Paused state, as we have no intention of resuming it. However, the 'Stop' button is disabled/greyed out in the UI.Is this a permissions issue (e.g., lacking some permission as I have publishing rights), or does the system require a journey to be Live before it can be stopped? Additionally, is it possible to force a termination via the AJO API?

Hi Everyone, I am working on a use case where I need to capture ‘Open’ Reaction and send a Re-send email to people who have not opened first email. I used the reaction event but despite the audience profile capturing opens, the reaction event is unable to identify/capture the opens. As a result the entire audience base ends up receiving the re-send email even the ones who have opened. Please help me understand this and any workaround if anyone has any awareness on this. However, since the currently available sources do not include CRM-type sources (for example, Salesforce), I was wondering if it would be possible to ingest data from a dataset with a standard schema into a relational-type dataset with Data Stiller (Queries)Regards

We have mailer that needs to contain links to a page that will receive some person identifiers. Our Person profile is part of a B2b use case where the person inherits some elements from the Account object. The person has a one to many relationship with the the account and to enable this the person profile has an array element in their profile Person → AccountAssociation → AccountDetails → AccountIDin the above Accountassociation is the array. so when we pick this from the editor it appends person._tenant.accountassociation.accountdetails.accountid. When this is passes it renders it with %7B%7Bperson._tenant.accountassociation.accountdetails.accountid. If there is an element on the root level of the profile it seems to work. Has any one encountered this issue of resolving the position? Hi, i have added a new field into an exisitng relational schema, and ingested some data with new field into the dataset, still i am not abel to see the newly added field into the Campaign Orchstrator to select for condition check in query or split activity. How can i make the newly added field in schema to be reflected in Campaign to select for query or split activity.

However, the email was actually received by the user on 01/29/2026 at 06:15 (next day).ObservationsIn ajo_message_feedback_event_dataset, the feedbackStatus = sent retryCount = 0 No failure reason or exclusion reason is present. This was a Journey email, not a Campaign. The journey starts with a Read Audience of ~1M profiles. The reading rate is set to 5,000 profiles per second.QuestionGiven that:the profile finished the journey node on 01/28, the message shows sent with retryCount = 0, and there are no failures or retries,why would the actual email delivery occur many hours later (next morning)?Could this be related to:internal message queueing or batching? journey scale / audience size? I’ve noticed a change in behavior when adding images to AJO Content templates via the AEM asset selector. Previously, the selector would persist in the last-used subfolder for subsequent image additions. Now, it resets to the root directory every time a new image is selected, forcing manual navigation through the folder hierarchy for each asset. Is there a configuration or setting to restore the previous behavior where the specific project folder remains open?
