I would check their access levels are actually the same. You must have a Plan license (current licenses) or a Standard license (new licenses) to create a Canvas Dashboard. Your Workfront administrator must give you Edit access to dashboards in your Access Level to create or edit a Canvas Dashboard. 

@BethDa3    If you are trying to hide the non-required default statuses, then you are correct. This was a glitch in the new layout they pushed. I put in a ticket last week, and it should be resolved. I would suggest trying again. 

Current User Approvers is what you are looking for.

Importing from Excel into Workfront is not a native option. You could use fusion if you have that available to you. 

The only way to do it is through the access level for the group admin.
