@RandyRoberts - reading your comment and your idea, I agree and I liked your idea.  I will say that my use case is very specific to expanding the functionality of filtering in Planner. It lacks the ability to do anything extensive with filtering in comparison to other parts of the tool.

Hopefully it's a suitable solution for what you are trying to accomplish. 

The field just has to be made large enough to accommodate. We have ours set pretty wide so that this doesn't happen.   Edit: I just checked and our field is 200 wide. Also you can click and drag the column to resize it as needed to accommodate longer names. 

@i40 - Any user with access to create or edit views can do it, doesn't need to be an admin as long as other license types have access within your instance. It can be done when creating/editing a view (from an area of Workfront such as a task/project list or in a report). There is an option in the advanced settings of any date column to change the display format of the date. While it won't get you to the full spelling of the day of the week it will get you the abbreviated format.  

I would like to hear further on the benefits of this. I'm not sure I would want another chat option in my day to day. I also wonder if the MS Teams plugin for Workfront is a good solve for this. You can reply directly in teams to comments without having to leave teams.
