Audience Exclusions: Non-identity Namespace

Avatar

Level 1

How do I create a segment that excludes another audience joined on a field that is not an identity namespace (in our case, email address)? The current challenge is that audience builder is all denormalized or joined on the identity namespace.

For example, I have an audience of former customers that could have the same email address as active customer accounts. If I email the former customers, I need to exclude any email address that matches an active customer.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Anuhya-Y,
Thank you for the direction.

After reviewing, it appears Exclude by attribute will allow me to exclude one single email address.

I need the ability to remove users from an audience if the email address matches the email address in another, separate audience.

Is Exclude by Attribute still what I need and I just misunderstood?
Or is there alternative options for me?
Thanks,

@JeffBa4 Try this ..

Enrich Audience A with Audience B based on email id as joining key and save as audience C

Exclude Audience B from Audience C and save as Audience D which would be the final set of profiles needed for the use case.
