Adobe Campaign Standard

In Adobe Campaign Classic you could use alert activity to send an email to a group of operators. I want to do the same thing in ACS. Is it possible? If not, what workaround can I use?   Thanks,

I'm looking for a way to have a workflow starts when a file gets uploaded from FTP.    Is this possible? We have a file that randomly populates, and we can't control the timing of when it gets uploaded.
