Case Study OverviewWe’ll be using the Data Distiller Query Pro Mode Editor, a web-based editor that lets you view results of a query with limited options- 50, 100, 150, 300, or 500. While this may seem limiting, it’s important to remember that the editor operates within your browser, which has memory constraints for displaying results. If you use a dedicated client installed locally on your machine, such as DBVisualizer, you can handle much larger datasets—up to 100,000 rows or more. However, even with local clients, you’ll eventually hit application memory limits. This brings us to an interesting challenge: how can we efficiently paginate through the result set when the client editor imposes a limit on how much data can be displayed at once? The answer is Data Distiller Cursors. What is a Data Distiller Cursor?A cursor in Data Distiller is a database object used to retrieve, manipulate, and traverse through a set of rows returned by a query one row at a time. Cursors are parti

Subscription analytics involves tracking and analyzing key metrics that measure the health and growth potential of a subscription-based business. These metrics provide insights into customer behavior, revenue trends, and overall product engagement, which are crucial for making informed business decisions. Common metrics in subscription analytics include churn rate, Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), Daily Active Users (DAU), and Monthly Active Users (MAU). Monitoring these metrics helps companies understand how well they are retaining customers, growing revenue, and encouraging product usage over time. Subscription analytics and metrics like the above are widely used across various many industries:Software as a Service (SaaS): SaaS companies use subscription metrics to monitor user adoption, gauge engagement, adjust pricing, and reduce churn. Key metrics like MRR, ARPU, and CLTV help them assess profitability and the l

How Universal is Adobe Universal Editor?by @daniel-strmecki OverviewAdobe's new Universal Editor is built for editing content no matter which type of frontend application is used. It is completely decoupled from AEM but integrates nicely with it. We've seen it work well with Edge Delivery Services, but is it also a good fit for frontends built with React/Next.js, Angular, or View? A long way back, you learned that direct links to static assets (like, say, a PDF) won’t be tracked by Munchkin. You should instead have a central Redirector LP that hooks up the Munchkin cookie before flipping to the target asset. Later, I showed how to instrument Munchkin so an event fires as soon as Visit Web Page has been logged, allowing the fastest response for Munchkin-dependent stuff — like redirecting. Hadn’t yet wrapped together those 2 concepts, though. So here’s how you should set up the Redirector LP in the modern age (as of late 2024). First, download the HitEvent JS and re-upload it to your Design Studio: teknkl-munchkinhitevent-v1.js Load that file in the <head> of your Redirector LP: <!-- Munchkin event enabler --> <script src="https://pages.example.com/rs/123-ABC-456/teknkl-munchkinhitevent-v1.js"></script> <!-- /Munchkin event enabler --> It’s critical that it load before the Munchkin library, which g
Marketo Munchkin and Google Analytics have a lot in common on the client side, but GA’s event_callback feature is something Munchkin ain’t got. event_callback lets you trigger a JS action as soon as possible after Google fires an event: not one millisecond before, and not some gross-grained period after, but exactly at the right time. When you’re redirecting away from a page, event_callback ensures the event shows up in GA. Rather than guessing “GA usually takes less than 2 seconds” — or worse, not even thinking about GA’s network needs at all — you do this: gtag("event", "page_view", { "event_callback": function() { document.location.href = "/followup-page.html"; } }); Similarly, it would be great to know when Munchkin has sent the Visit Web Page. To do that, we need an event or callback that fires at that exact moment. No guesswork. The goal Instrumenting an existing library that only exists as minimized JS is a pretty foolish thing in general. &
"Marketo only" custom objects have been available for a while within Marketo, but up until recently you needed involvement from Support or Consulting to create them. Well, all that is changing in a recent enhancement to Marketo. If you need to leverage Custom Objects, you can request access via support, and this new end user facing UI is all yours. Amazing, Right? Once enabled, you'll see the Custom Objects under Admin --> Custom ObjectsLets talk a bit about why you might need or want to use custom objects. Custom objects are used to extend the Marketo data model and specify data that exists in a one to many relationship with a Lead or Company. Example of this might be "Products" or "Contracts" or "Investment Portfolios".. the possibilities are endless. These objects, one created and published are populated using the SOAP or REST API and can be used in Smart Campaigns or Smart lists, and are viewable in the Lead Details screen under "Custom Objects"The available Triggers and Filters
I have a set of radio buttons (top, center and bottom). My requirement is such that I have used the property "checked" as true to show "center" as the selected one when the component is dragged and dropped on the page. If I open the dialog, selects the radio button "top" and click submit, I am getting the value as "top" in my html page. But, if I reopen the dialog, the "center" button is selected instead of "top".As per requirement, I can't change the order of radio button as well as default selection.
Hi, We have lot of critical issues with regarding "HTTP requests should always have socket and connect timeouts". For this, I created one common configuration to set time outs in project level and use the same request config across all the clients. Lets say I call my service "httpService". So below is my code httpClient = httpClientBuilderFactory.newBuilder().setDefaultRequestConfig(httpService.getRequestConfig()).build(); https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-manager/content/using/custom-code-quality-rules. But this is still showing the same error. Best regards,Vijaya Kumar Arumugam
Hi Team,I only want to show custom 404 error message for my site having path "/content/mySite/".I have overlayed "/libs/sling/servlet/errorhandler/" but this is working for every path.
Our client's website is currently hosted on an AEM (headful architecture) that includes Sling, OSGI, and JCR, rather than a standalone headless UI with React. However, the client is now considering developing a middleware framework that would incorporate Apache Sling and Karaf, with an intent to reuse the existing front-end code AS-IS but with the content married from a new headless CMS (instead of AEM) . This shift is driven by the desire to avoid the additional costs associated with leveraging the full capabilities of AEM. Instead, they are opting for a more tactical strategy that involves using Apache Sling and Karaf as a bridge to replicate the existing solution without AEM. The client is familiar with the out-of-the-box functionalities of AEM but is not utilizing them and has no plans to do so in the future. They believe that these features come at a higher cost, which is why they prefer a more tactical approach with an intermediate layer (Apache Sling and Karaf without AEM) to re
