I have created a Tbymeleaf Spring simple app that provides a simple html page as output. I have tried adding a dialog for PDF Viewer, to check the feasibility of the component in the classic UI for business requirement. Is it possible to just have a dialog to say it can not be edited in classic UI?
7 AEM As Cloud Service Local Login by AEM Tutorials Abstract Video: https://youtu.be/1piBfpDS9Tg This video showcases how we can enable the local login in AEM as cloud service. While provisioning the AEM As Cloud Service program authentication is pre-configured with Adobe Identity Management Service (IMS). Previously, with AEM, customers would have to configure an Identity Provider (IDP) such as Active Directory or IMS. The Admin Console allows administrators to centrally manage all Experience Cloud users. AEM as a Cloud Service includes Admin Console support for AEM instances and Adobe Identity Management System (IMS for short) based authentication. Adobe IMS Users, User Groups, and Product Profiles are used to control access to AEM and its features and functionalities. Adobe ID required. IMS authentication support only for Author, Admin and Dev users. It does not offer support for external end users of customer sites like site visitors. Onboarding Users in Admin Console The

Hello Marketing Nation, Welcome back to the Marketo Success Series! In this series, we partner with Marketo Champions and Champion Alumni to fully explore how some of our most celebrated Marketo experts are using Marketo Engage to drive success. In this edition, we teamed up with Marketo Engage Champion Alumni Edward Unthank and Courtney Grimes to go over how to create and prototype your email design, defining modules and editable areas, and more. Email templates are the heavy lifting code that allows your marketing team to shine. By setting up a technical email structure that powers your emails with clean code that works on all devices, marketers can focus on messaging and strategy instead. When we spend more time on making puns in subject lines and less on how an email renders on a certain service, everyone wins. Well, except people who hate puns. At their core, email templates are simply HTML and Marketo-specific markup that powers what a marke

Context:i have a website that provide content as HTML to different challens (yeah!). that website is online since 6 years (builded in AEM 6.0, migrated in 6.3 and again migrated in 6.5.8).The multichannel implementation it was based on selectos (e.g. /content/mypage.html -> for channel 1; /content/mypage.channel2.html -> for channel 2)... (legacy implementation :))The channels rendering changes are delegated to 2 layers:1) template --> e.g.: to remove header and footer2) components --> e.g.: to print in page HTML 1 or HTML 2 Challenge: I'm trying to find the best way to provide at Adobe Target the content to use for A/B testing for Channel 1 and Channel 2 and offert to my marketing client the SAME AEM editing functionality limiting, as per possible, the Target VEC Interface to produce new content). Custom Metadata – AEM by All AEM By Kiran Vedantam Abstract Hello everyone! Hope all of you and your families are safe & sound. Today, I have come up with some interesting topic. Hope you all will like it. Definition – “Metadata is data that describes other data“. This is very apt for AEM as well. AEM supports different kinds of assets and metadata talks more about these assets data. To view the metadata of an asset in asset viewer: http://localhost:4502/assets.html Hover on the asset and click on the properties to view the metadata. Whenever an asset is uploaded into AEM, default metadata is generated and saved. Use case: Need for metadata which is not out of the box. There would be some scenarios where extra metadata is needed which is not generated out of the box. Their usage can be seen in – Adobe analytics, reports on the assets views, downloads etc. To achieve this, AEM has provided an option to add custom metadata. Steps to create custom metadata: To create custom
Writing Less Java Code in AEM with Sling Models & Lombok by Perficient Blogs Abstract AEM is a robust platform full of useful APIs and frameworks available at our disposal. Understanding what’s in the box will help us write less code. In my previous blog post, I covered one of the most used frameworks, Sling Models. Plus, I showed a real-world example with multi-fields. For this blog post, we will continue to leverage Sling Models with added help from a code generator. Code Generators Code generators save us from having to write monotonous Java plumbing code. Things like bean getters and setters, loggers, equals(), toString() and hashCode(). We need to free ourselves from having to write and maintain this plumbing. In doing so, we can focus on high-level business logic. Some of the better-known generators are Immutables, AutoValue and Lombok. I’m not going to get into the details of each. Suffice it to say that after a few years and a few projects my personal preference is Lombo
Run Modes by Blog's TechInnovia Abstract Welcome to part 7 of the lecture on OSGI, in this part we will review pre-defined component configurations and Run Modes. After listening to this part, you should be able to Create pre-defined component configurations. Describe what run modes are. Create multiple component configurations specific to Run Modes. Repository Based Configuration Though the configurations from the web consoles looks convenient, it is only good for development & debug. The proper way is to configure OSGI components using repository nodes, that lets you store & manage configurations together with the code, as files. And you can have several configurations for different environments & run modes. Read Full Blog Run Modes Q&A Please use this thread to ask the related questions.
OSGI Components Configuration by Blog's TechInnovia Abstract Welcome to part 6 of the lecture on OSGI, OSGI Component Configuration. After listing to this part, you should be able to Declare component lifecycle methods. Make your component configurable. We will not review the older list five ways of configuring components. If that is what is used in your project you should better read documentation. In OSGI, to make a component configurable, the developer defines a certain data structure called MetaType. That MetaType has two important parts Object class Definition Designate Object Class Definition defines Attributes, that determines the configurable properties of a component and Designate binds the Object Class Definition to the component. In a bundle this data structure exists as an XML document that is a separate XML document plus entries in the main component configuration XML. In the Java code this structure is defined using several annotations. Read Full Blog OSGI Compon
Hi,we are migrating from org.apache.felix.scr annotations to org.osgi.service.component annotations. we have a set of Components that inherit from adobe provided abstract class com.adobe.cq.social.scf.core.AbstractSocialComponentFactory (Developed with scr annotations).on the super class they have few reference object("@Reference") and that's not get inherited to my ds annotated child classes by default.Note : Same is working if we add the local reference object with d6 reference annotations.with maven bundle plugin we tried adding the following configurations to make the inheritance work (by default with osgi d6 annotations inheritance wont happen) but nothing helps.Any pointer to fix this will help us more.<configuration><instructions><_dsannotations>*</_dsannotations><_dsannotations-inherit>true</_dsannotations-inherit><_metatypeannotations>*</_metatypeannotations></instructions></configuration>
Why is color accessibility important? by Adobe Blog Abstract Colors have a huge impact on the look and feel of any product. When designing for people, color becomes a strong medium to communicate and a powerful tool for accessibility. We asked Alison Murphy, a designer at Pearson’s, “What does accessibility in design mean to you?” “There is a great thing in universal design called the ‘curb-cut effect’ — essentially, by making something accessible to a certain audience, you often improve the experience for everybody,” she answered. “Color themes that work well for a vision challenged audience will work well for everyone!” Accessibility comes with multiple advantages, the most prominent being the uniform access and interpretation of information unaffected by the limitations of the different types of audience. Take healthcare systems for instance. Amidst the current pandemic situation, lack of minimum contrast ratio in the colors of healthcare apps and websites may hinder communicati
I am trying to allow users to publish HTML and CSS content in content fragments. The users are finding that important pieces of their CSS/HTML is being stripped out, in particular media queries/responsive codes.Does anyone have any guidance for writing AntiSamy config.xml's that will pass the CSS (and HTML) in the spoiler tags below? Shown below are a before and after of the HTML/CSS when it's run through an AntiSamy config.xml that I customized slightly to at least preserve the html, head, and meta tags. I can't find any documentation on allowing more complicated CSS styling like this. Note that in particular, all the screen/@media sections are removed. As a side question, is anyone familiar with ways of disabling XSS protection partially or completely to bypass the content fragment filtering? The way we are managing and authoring our content means that XSS is not relevant to our AEM use case.<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1
