Hi, I need to export the model json from a sling model conditionally, How to implement this?
There were two conversations that emerged in our User Management workshop yesterday that we'd love some community input on! Campaigns - With the introduction of campaigns, if you're already using this terminology for portfolios or programs, how would you handle this new object? Rename campaigns to something else? Rework your naming conventions? Something else? Group organization. If you have multiple brands or business areas, and then support organizations (legal, sales, etc.) that serve across those areas - how do you structure your groups? Particularly if you utilize groups for permissions/sharing. What are your thoughts?
Hello Team, I am trying to embed com.google.guava jar file as a third party dependency in my maven build. But it does not deploy to felix console. When I try to manually upload to felix console it works but not through maven build. I am following the below steps for this. In the main pom of the project, I am adding it as a dependency. <dependency> <groupId>com.google.guava</groupId> <artifactId>guava</artifactId> <version>20.0</version></dependency> In ui.apps, I am embedding it as below. <embedded> <groupId>com.google.guava</groupId> <artifactId>guava</artifactId> <target>/apps/my-project/install</target></embedded> I have the physical jar file in the above

Thank you to those who attended and participated in the August 10 Community Chat workshop hosted by Adobe Workfront Customer Success. As promised, here is a Community discussion to continue the conversation, share text mode tips, collaborate on custom form cleanup, ask for best practices and more. I've included a few links that were requested in the chat and ideas to up-vote / link (that we will bring forward as well). These will also be included in the follow-up email you should have received. AND keep an eye out for a sample report that you can use to help with reviewing proofs, once those instructions have been finalized and tested. as above. So it's my first time using Windows as a local development machine. I've always used Macs before my latest role. But my issue is that none of the files inside /crx-quickstart/log is getting updated. as an example: if I open up a page for editing, the cmd.exe will be very busy with logging. But if I check the files inside /log, none of them has increased in size. When using AEM inside a Mac, I know access.log and error.log will be very busy getting updates. Any ideas on what's happening? Thanks -------- Things I tried: I tried running java -Xmx4096m -jar cq-author-p4502.jar I tried using the start scripts inside crx-quickstart/bin I tried numbers 1 and 2 but using cmd.exe (run-as admin) I tried numbers 1 and 2 but using powershell (run-as admin) As a test, I deleteg all the *.log inside /crx-quickstart/logs and restarted AEM. all the files are showing up as zero bytes. (I tried opening the file using nano in
AEM WCMS Headless | Getting Started with AEM Headless - GraphQL by Adobe Abstract Video: https://images-tv.adobe.com/mpcv3/4981/3ba20801-a611-4aab-965c-6c453f00ec01_1658259029.854x480at800_h264.mp4 AEM’s GraphQL APIs for Content Fragments supports headless CMS scenarios where external client applications render experiences using content managed in AEM. A modern content delivery API is key for efficiency and performance of Javascript-based frontend applications. Using a REST API introduce challenges: Large number of requests for fetching one object at a time Often “over-delivering” content, meaning the application receives more than it needs To overcome these challenges GraphQL provides a query-based API allowing clients to query AEM for only the content it needs, and to receive using a single API call. CMS Headles | Headless CMS with AEM: A Complete Guide by One-inside Abstract You might have already heard about Headless CMS and you may be wondering if you should go “all-in” with this new model. In our complete guide, we are going to answer the most common questions, such as What is the difference between Headless and traditional CMS? Is headless the best choice for your next website implementation? How to use a headless CMS for your next project It’s best to understand what Headless CMS means before making any decision to start developing your next web project on a content delivery model that won’t fit. At One Inside, our expertise relies on the implementation of the Adobe CMS, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). We can show you what AEM can do in regards to content delivery — and in which case headless is recommended. What is a traditional CMS? This is likely the one you are familiar with. Traditional CMS uses a “server-side” approach to deliver content to the web. The main chara
WCMS | An Introduction to Headless or Decoupled CMS in AEM 6.5 by Specbee Abstract Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.5’s release in April 2019 saw an addition of some key features and enhancements. It allows enterprises to offer more innovative and comprehensive customer experiences, faster and better. What is a headless CMS? Headless architecture offers a new way of presenting AEM content. Unlike the traditional AEM solutions, headless does it without the presentation layer. Instead, you control the presentation completely with your own code in any programming language. Headless CMS in AEM 6.5 The headless CMS extension for AEM was introduced with version 6.3 and has improved since then, it mainly consists of the following components: Content Services: Expose user defined content through an API in JSON format. All 3rd party applications can consume this data. Content Fragments: Allows the user to add and update content as structured data entities. The Content Fragment Model define
Content Management System | Using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Headless CMS to Deliver Business Content at Scale by Gspann Abstract This blog can help you understand why you need to bring your content out from siloed environment and add agility to it, using Adobe Experience Manager’s headless CMS capabilities. Explore how AEM can shape up a consistent and connected experience for consumers with your brand. Unlike traditional CMS platforms, like web content management systems—which are tightly bound to a particular presentation technology (e.g., .NET, Java, Rails, etc.) and target channel (e.g., web, mobile, e-commerce, etc.)—headless CMS platforms free themselves from prescribing a specific target presentation model. A headless CMS, often known as an API-first, focus on the freedom from any specific presentation technology or channel. This approach enables the CMS to live up to the promise of managing content in place and publishing anywhere. Adobe Experience Manager supports
Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this. I am new to AEM and have been working through some tutorials. I generated a java project using the adobe archititype and when I try to build I keep getting errors when downloading the uber-jar-6.5.8-apis.jar. I cannot use the public repository due to proxy issues. The jar does exist in our Maven repository. I tried to run the mvn clean install in offline mode and I still get the error Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be appreciated. I did search the knowledge base but nothing really matched. [ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project learn.core: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.adobe.aem.guides:learn.core:jar:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT: The following artifacts could not be resolved: com.adobe.aem:uber-jar:jar:apis:6.5.8, org.apache.commons:commons-imaging:jar:1.0-R1534292: Could not transfer artifact com.adobe.aem:uber-jar:jar:apis:6.5.8 from/to devops-ally-repo-group (https
A team member asked me if there was an easy way to create a data/field dictionary for a Marketo/Microsoft Dynamics native integration and unfortunately there isn't. In this article I will explain how to understand the field mapping between Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) and Marketo. When you export all the fields using “Export Field Names” you will get an excel field with the REST API, SOAP API and Friendly Label. Fields with no SOAP API name are Marketo only. Many seem to be Marketo Microsoft system fields, Marketo system fields and a few which I’m unable to explain. Here's an example of some of them. Fields which include an (a) in the Friendly Label should be account fields. You can verify field mappings manually be looking them up in Field Management Fields with a (c) in the Friendly Label should be a contact field and may be mapped to a lead field. The default fields (aka standard fields) which are already in Marketo before the integration should be mapped to eith
I am trying to get attribute value set in Slingmodel class. Below code is used to set value of attribute "mycustomparam" in sling model. model1.java request.setAttribute("mycustomparam", "value"); But unable to get this value in HTL I have tried ${request.attribute @ mycustomparam} In other model2.java, i am able to get this value using request.getAttribute('mycustomparam'); Is there any way to get value in sightly instead of model?
I have divided the implementation into 6 steps. While the first three steps are very well explained on our official documentation. I would concentrate from step 4 onwards These are the documentation links for the first three steps Create Schema https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/platform-learn/tutorials/schemas/create-schemas.html?lang=en Create Datastream https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-platform/edge/datastreams/overview.html?lang=en One additional step is that along with other services, like Adobe analytics, I would need to select Even forwarding as well. For example, I want to send data to non-adobe solutions through event forwarding as well along with Adobe Analytics Install Web SDK Extension https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/platform-learn/implement-web-sdk/tags-configuration/install-web-sdk.html?lang=en Create Even Forwarding Property If your org is provisioned for Event Forwarding, you should be able to see the option "Event Forwarding" in Launch
What's the deal with the Default Dashboard Object setting on the Everytouch Attribution section of the Marketo Measure App?! This setting affects top of the funnel functionality: Segmentation Segmentation allows you to create data categories to use as filters on reports (region, for example). For top of the funnel reporting, your segmentation would be based on fields on either the Lead or the Contact -- can't do both at the same time. If you select Lead as your Default Dashboard Object, your Lead fields will show up on the Segmentation config page; and vice-versa if you select the Contact object. Read more about segmentation here Stages (or custom fields) available for the Custom Attribution Model The Default Dashboard Object defines whether you pull from the Lead or Contact for your top of funnel stages for the Custom Model. You can't pull from both objects at the same time, it's one or the other. If you pick the Lead Object as the Default
Hi all,I have set up a marketing workflow where every time I execute a monthly marketing campaign, the recipients are filtered to remove anyone who is on a list "list of campaign X recipients". The recipients who make it through that filtration processed get added to that "list of campaign X recipients" then go through the marketing workflow as per usual. I dont want to send someone marketing emails more than once in a 6 month period, thus I have been manually checking the list pre-campaign each time and removing people who have been in the list for 6 months. Surely there is a way to automate this so that it happens automatically and I don't have to manually remove people from this exclusion list. Please tell me how I can schedule an automatic process that removes people from a list who have been in that list more than 6 months. Thanks so much in advance to you allBob

We have configured a watched folder in AEM forms and it's ingesting the file successfully. However, in the advanced configuration, we have some customer properties being configured however, the workflow is not setting them. Are we doing something wrong? Basically, we have a string called "inputType" and we set it to the string "file". In the workflow, we create a string variable called "inputType" and it's value is undefined when it gets kicked off. Here is a reference to the documentation. We have verified that it is set using CRXDE too. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/forms/publish-process-aem-forms/watched-folder-in-aem-forms.html?lang=en
I have followed the below-mentioned URL and worked on the custom validation on metadata schema. Once the error is shown, the metadata is getting saved even there is an error.
