Is this a known issue for AEM? Are there maybe some fixes for it or ideas on the best solution?

Hello Everyone,1. Our project structure is like /content/project-name/home is the root path and inside this there are 4 parent level pages like product1, product2, product3 etc.2. For one of the page inside /content/project-name/home/product1 say /content/project-name/home/product1/sample-page, our authoring team is using vanity url like this: /product1/product-feature/investment/planning (this page was created earlier and later it deleted/moved. But still they want the reference/bookmark to work as is and thats why they are setting /product1/product-feature/investment/planning as vanity url for above sample page)3. When we access a page with this vanity : host/product1/product-feature/investment/planningits going to 404 page. This is because its conflicting with our redirect rule which we have written for content resolution:RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/(product1|product2|product3)(.*)RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ /content/${CONTENT_FOLDER_NAME}/home/${tolower:$1}.html [PT,L]4. Hello dear Community!!!I am the best in finding new problems ;DWhat i discovered today: Brandportal does not automatically gets tags unpublished that are deleted from the AEM instance. So our BP contains a lot of those OOTB tags that we deleted very early on in the project 😄"Standard Tags" for example... Now i want to clean up the Brand Portal and this "Standard Tags" is not that easy to get rid of.Since i can not delete / unpublish a tag from BP - i created a new namespace "Standard Tags" in AEM, then unpublished it. No effect. Then i published it to BP and found that the "Standard Tags" in BP seems to be different than the one i created. But i can not see how it is different ;(So, dear BP users, did you figure out a way to keep your BP tags clean? /clean it up after the fact...Did you know a way to get rid of those ooooooooold tags that nobody knows what the settings exactly were? And to you, dear Adobe: Please allow the Brand Portal admin a little bit more than it is curr
After we upgraded to SP19, we started to notice that sometimes web services for dropdown menus do not come back to our adaptive forms. You need to refresh sometimes multiple times to get the dropdown menu to populate from initialize correctly. We wrote in C# code for our web services using both Asynchronous and Synchronous methods. Both behave the same way where it does not come back all the time to the adaptive form. We were on SP15 prior to upgrading to SP19. In SP15 we did not have this behavior with the web service calls in prefilling our dropdowns in adaptive forms. Is there any settings on the AEM configuration that we can change or look at in order to resolve the issue?
Hi all -- I am working on a AEMaaCS migration using the Content Transfer Tool and we are experiencing an Exception during Extraction phase that is causing it to fail. The exception is org.apache.jackrabbit.core.data.DataStoreException: Length Collision (see below) and the source is an AEM 6.5 SP13 instance w/ content-transfer.all-3.0.0.zip package installed. The extraction configuration includes a wipe "Overwrite staging container during extraction" and include versions is part of the Migration Set configuration. Pre copy and User mapping is not part of the Migration Set configuration. Any thoughts on how to resolve? I am running a consistency check now -- but that is generally to identify missing binaries. I am at a loss on this issue since it seems related to the Azure Blob Store being targeted. Thanks! 2023-09-10 12:28:09,672 [oak-ds-async-upload-thread-9] ERROR o.a.j.o.p.blob.UploadStagingCache - Error adding file to
Adobe’s Digital Foundation Blueprint and How It Can Help You by Hoodoo Digital Abstract Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service has taken the AEM tech space by storm this year and has garnered most of the attention. However, before AEM as a Cloud Service came into the picture, a significant implementation approach was introduced: Digital Foundation Blueprint. While Adobe has only started to promote it, we wanted to discuss this new implementation process and show how it can achieve successful outcomes at even faster speeds. The intention is to bypass older, and in some cases, almost outdated processes that use heavy customization as the norm and leverage a refreshed set of Adobe's best practices. By using the most beneficial approaches like Digital Foundation Blueprint, we can give clients the advantage of a speedier go-live, and thus the benefit of time. What makes this method so appealing? If you have a marketing or product goal that has been set but seems unrealistic given a t
Is there a way to download an entire folder from Adobe Workfront with the "Print Summary" view of each project? Or is it only possible to do this one by one? I'd like to batch-download all proofs with comments.
Running your first webinar in Marketo or having issues with the member.webinar url token not populating? Well then you’ve come to the right place! Get a run down of what the Marketo member.webinar url token is, how it gets populated, how to test it, and the most common reason why it might not be populating. N.B. If you are looking for a general introduction to Marketo tokens and how they can save you time when building your emails, webhooks, and smart campaigns then check out the Great Use Cases for Marketo Tokens post. What is the member.webinar url in Marketo? The {{member.webinar url}} token is a program level token specifically for event programs in Marketo that are synced to a webinar partner like Zoom. It is automatically populated by the webinar partner whenever someone is moved to the “Registered” status in the Marketo program and can subsequently be used in emails to allow registrants to join using their own unique join link. &n
Server-Side Rendering Using Adobe IO by Perficient Abstract Using Adobe IO to Support Server-Side Rendering Many web applications are written using client-side single-page application (SPA) frameworks, like ReactJS and Angular. Doing so has many advantages, however, it does prevent a slight challenge for search engines like Google to effectively index content on pages and make them available to a Google search. There is a common solution to this called Server-side rendering. “Server-side rendering (SSR) is a popular technique for rendering client-side SPAs on the server and then sending a fully rendered page to the client. This allows for dynamic components to be served as static HTML markup.” It is common to execute directly against a NodeJS server to accomplish SSR, each with its own respective costs associated with them. With all requests coming through the AEM runtime, teams need a direction on where to send client-side requests to be rendered server-side. Adobe’s recommendation
Welcome back to Expert Insights! I’m Cynthia Boon, your “On-Demand” Workfront CSM, and in this episode, we have a fabulous presentation with Daniel Clarke (@daniel_clarke) where he shares his expertise on Enterprise Work Management. Daniel is a Sr. Manager of Restaurant Solutions at Sysco Corporation, with a passion for workflow processes and Workfront! He shared so many best practices during our Workfront Collective event, but here are a few highlights: Workfront is not a “set it and forget it” solution. Hi All,We are creating forms using Adaptive Form Core Components and there is a use case in which we need to populate dropdown options using Backend API. To cater to this scenario, we have created a Form Data Model from swagger provided. However we are not able to populate the values of dropdown or configure dropdown options using rule editor. How do we configure options for select-based components (in this case dropdown) using the visual rule editor and using form data model service output?Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Mohit
I have a confession to make; this is not the blog article I was planning to write this week. In fact, this week's original blog article was practically finished when I received a message. The message, in response to Part 1 of my series, made me stop in my tracks and realise I needed to cover something far more fundamental before going any further. The realisation was that the biggest challenges we face as existing Adobe Analytics implementation experts are: Adobe Analytics is so ingrained in our thinking there is no map to find our way from Adobe Analytics to Web SDK During this series I am deliberately avoiding doing a rewrite of Adobe's technical documentation (and that's not about to change!). However, following my above 'light bulb' moment, I've decided to go a lot further in providing some basic directions to help people on their way. So, if you will forgive me, we're going to take a detour from my planned route, to help you orientate yourself and naviga
Does such a feature exist where once a request is closed, an auto generated custom message can be sent to the requestor?
Hi community,In AEM Editor for a page, I have dropped out of the box container. There we have option to switch between full width and limited width for the container via styles.Problem is in full width, the config toolbar for the container comes on the right side of itAnd in limited width , it comes left aligned on the left side of the container. Thus switching between the 2 designs makes the toolbar go to and fro from left to right. Is this by default Adobe implementation? If not what could be wrong? If yes, is there any proof in documentation/ or logic behind this? in that case please give references.
We have a workflow to automatically create static renditions for use in our app. Renditions are created for a range of image sizes from 384 to 1920 pixels wide. We do this using a "Process Thumbnails" step for each required resolution in the workflow. The image quality at higher resolutions is not as good as we had expected, and I've noticed that the file size is the same for image widths 1280 and above. 1280, 1440, 1792, and 1920 pixel width images all have the same file size, despite the difference in resolution and I think this could be contributing to the quality not being what we want. Why might this be happening and what we can do to change the behaviour so that larger images have larger files and thus better (hopefully) quality? Example renditions for a processed file
Hi Experts, I am using aem-6.5 on AMS environment. I noticed an issue with asset reports. Somehow, "Upload" and "Published" reports are not getting generated although it shows message the report generation is in queue. No errors in the logs as well no node is getting created under/var/eventing/jobs for topic "com.adobe.cq.dam.report" However, other reports (download, expiration, brand portal published, disk usage, etc..) are working fine.Any clue on what could be the issue with upload report not getting generated?

The last several email scripting projects I’ve worked on have proved to be good use cases for a Velocity Script’s powerful feature, the use of temporary objects with multiple email script tokens. This feature allows marketers to efficiently manage and manipulate data, enabling them to create more engaging and personalized email campaigns. In this blog post, I’ll explore these features in more depth, discussing their benefits and best practices for implementation. Temporary Objects in Marketo Velocity Script Temporary objects in Velocity Script can be an array or structured object. These objects are particularly useful to store a subset of records from a custom object. Temporary objects can also be populated by evaluating JSON stored in a field or from a custom object record. ETL processes can be used to transform the data before storing it in the object. Benefits of Using Temporary Objects Efficient Data Manipulation: Temporary obje

Hi team, We have trained Adobe Sensei for Smart Tags on non prod environment. But it is being applied for all the environments including Stage and Prod. Is it possible to make it unique per each environment ? or is it possible to reset training since we have tested with some generic tags for dev purpose. We are using AEM as a Cloud Service
Once you have added Zoom as a launchpoint service and created your webinar event program in Marketo you might be wondering how to set up your registration confirmation email to include “Add to Calendar” links that contain the unique join URL for each registrant. This post will show you how to create these calendar links and how to test that these links are working correctly. Before jumping into the details I will answer a few questions that might be on your mind. FAQs Why should I use Marketo for webinar communication instead of Zoom’s communication features? While Zoom does have a landing page with an embedded registration form and associated confirmation, reminder, and followup emails, you do not have a lot of control over how the landing page or emails look. Instead, embedding a Marketo form on your Marketo landing page or on your 3rd Party CMS page will allow you to gain registrants while staying true to your bran

Using AEM Modernization Tools by Exadel Abstract We recently began the process of switching over all of our pages from static to editable templates. This was shaping up to be a long, complicated, and expensive process, so we turned to AEM Modernization Tools for a solution. AEM Modernization Tools makes customization easy by providing a broad range of pre-set options that we combined to fit our needs. The tool suite is also designed to be extendable which allowed us to specify custom implementations when the framework did not provide us with quite enough flexibility. We also had the option to extend the feature set by registering OSGi services and implementing specific API interfaces. We will not dive into AEM Modernization tools in detail; instead we will show you how to create a custom implementation to fit your own needs by answering some frequently asked questions about AEM Modernization custom solutions. Before starting, you should make sure you’ve installed the AEM Modernizati
