Scoring leads is a fundamental part of building a marketing qualification mechanism in Marketo. This blog post will show you how to score the values a person has for different demographic and firmographic fields to yield a single output score that you can use for your marketing qualification mechanism. This blog post accompanies the “Demo & Firmo Lead Scoring Model 2” section from the Lead Scoring Bible blog post. Before diving into the implementation steps below, first, check out the “Demo & Firmo Lead Scoring Model 2” section to see what the output of the model looks like, what fields are used in the model, and how these fields are used in scoring logic. Triggering the Scoring Workflow The scoring workflow is kicked off by 4 things in the “Master” campaign: When a person is created When they have been enriched by Clearbit When any of the fields we score on changes When we request this campaign e.g. when we are doing s
Defining your ideal customer profile is the first step when it comes to building a marketing qualification or sales handoff mechanism. Once you have this model defined this blog post will show you how to translate customer profiles into corresponding Marketo fields and build smart campaigns that assess newly created leads to see how good a fit they are for your company. This blog post accompanies the “Demo & Firmo Lead Scoring Model 1” section from the Lead Scoring Bible blog post. Before diving into the Marketo implementation steps below, first, check out the “Demo & Firmo Lead Scoring Model 1” section to see what the output of the model looks like, what fields are used in the model, and how these fields are used in scoring logic. Triggering ICP Matching Workflow I’m going to call the smart campaign that kicks everything off the “Master” campaign. It is triggered by 4 main things: When a person is created When they have bee
Once you reach a significant inbound lead volume your sales team will not have the time to reach out to every lead. This is why building a MQL mechanism is needed to flag and prioritize the leads that sales should reach out to. This blog post will show you how to build an MQL mechanism in Marketo to alert sales and provide them with the context about why a lead was deemed to be marketing qualified. This blog post accompanies the “MQL Model Outline” section from the Lead Scoring Bible blog post. Before diving into the Marketo implementation steps below check out the “MQL Model Outline” section to see how to categorize your different MQL activities for leads of different quality. Setting the MQL Source and Detail As shown in the video at the top of this post, there will be a Marketo smart campaign responsible for triggering on each activity in the MQL Activities sheet and setting the MQL Source and MQL Source Detail fields appropria
If you are new to Marketo the prospect of building a lead scoring mechanism can be intimidating. There is alignment needed across the sales and marketing teams to define the model, which is never easy to get, involving a lot of meetings and communication, and then there is the implementation of the scoring mechanism in Marketo which can be equally challenging. While getting alignment between the sales and marketing teams is not something I can help you with this post will give you some examples of lead scoring models for demographics and firmographics as well as lead scoring models for activity. I will then help you define a marketing qualification mechanism (MQL) that will use the outputs from our lead scoring models to determine whether someone should be handed off to sales. Not only do I outline some great scoring model examples I also link to the blog posts and videos that will show you how to implement these models in Marketo. I reference Clearbit a lot i

HUGE Thank You to both McKay White (@mckaywh) and Rexx Madsen (@rexxma) for their time and expertise on this event! In this session, McKay shared what to expect and how best to prepare for the Adobe Business Platform Migration, along with a demo of working in the Adobe Admin Console. If you missed the session, you can watch the on-demand recording here. We’ve also linked the presentation deck here. Rexx was in the chat rapidly answering as many questions as possible, so we've exported the event Q&A for easy access. All questions/answers from the chat Note: There were a lot of questions that came through and not all of them were answered, so be sure to reach out to Customer Support for more information on your specific migration plan. We are working with McKay and Rexx to schedule a follow-up Q&A session, so keep checking the Events page regularly to ensure you don't miss out. We hope to see you soon!
by Christopher Davis and Kevin Scally This is Part 2 of our series on Target Activity Reporting FAQs & Troubleshooting which focuses specifically on using Analytics/A4T as the reporting source. Check out Part 1 of this Series which covers Using Target as the Reporting Source, and Part 3 of this Series which covers Using Third-Party Tools as the Reporting Source. Unstitched Hits When using A4T in an at.js + AppMeasurement.js (non-Web SDK) implementation; it is important to understand how data is collected for A4T. Target generates a Supplemental Data ID (SDID) that is sent as part of the Target request. This ID is used to link data from the Target call to the page's Analytics call (what activities were returned, what experience the visitor is in for each activity, etc.). Second, note that Target fires at the "top" of the page (as content begins to load), while Analytics is fired at the page bottom (after the page's content has been delivered). Due to this differenc
Find AEM JCR Nodes with Full Text Search by SourceCode Abstract Every AEM developer knows that a JCR node consists of properties and values. Whenever a component is configured or whenever page properties are set, the value is saved in the JCR node as properties and values. There are times when we would like to search all the JCR node properties, to match the value with some kind of string. We can do this with fulltext search in AEM. This action is most useful when trying to find unused components in the code. When performing a fulltext search, please be aware that you will be using Jackrabbit Oak, Apache Lucene. You will search via the Apache Lucene indexes, cached in the JCR. Update and Delete operations in the repository are followed by the Lucene reindexing. In this article, we will cover 2 ways of performing a full-text search, with examples. Every AEM developer knows that a JCR node consists of properties and values. Whenever a component is configured or whenever page propert

HTTP headers enable the client and server to exchange additional information within an HTTP request or response. Currently, custom headers are intercepted by nlsrvmod Apache module and stripped. I submitted an enhancement request to implement this feature back in March 2023, and it is now scheduled for inclusion in a forthcoming release, version 7.4, identifiable by the improvement reference "NEO-57557." In the following example, you can observe that we are making an HTTP call to our custom JSSP page with a customized "Authorization" header, which subsequently gets removed.
We are making updates to the Marketo Engage permissions structure to offer more granular access control to your users. During these updates we will be introducing new permissions and redefining some existing permissions. While we are aiming to be as minimally disruptive as possible, these updates may require your business to update existing users and roles to avoid interruptions of tasks in some circumstances. Need the TL;DR? Here's the short version: We will be introducing and enforcing new permissions for creating Lists/Smart Lists, Report assets, and exporting Smart Campaign results on May 21, 2024. These permissions will be automatically given to any user that can already take these actions today. Admins can later update their permissions structures to granularly assign them to or remove them from roles. We will be enforcing the need for create or edit permissions on an asset to move that asset (e.g. Create Email is needed to move an Email) on June 7, 2024. Througho

In our last blog we discussed how you can leverage Marketo Forms and Dynamic Chat to drive further personalized engagement, in case you missed here is the link Similar to forms triggering conversational engagement, you can leverage any landing page link or button to trigger similar flows. Here is how it works Its just 4 simple steps Design a flow that you would like to trigger in Conversational Flows (Dynamic Chat) and publish the flow Goto setting tab inside the conversation flow and copy the trigger hash Goto Marketo landing page in draft mode (same is valid if you are inserting into a non-Marketo landing page)add new link / button or edit existing one and simply add the hash that you copied
Hi TeamIs there is any utility or process to take full backup of AEM Server (on-premises) instead of taking "crx-quickstart" folder level i.e. zip or tar because this folder size large size we don't have enough spaces at server . Looking for full backup then subsequent backup on incremental basis rather than each time taking as full backup. RegardsVara
Hi, sorry for my bad english, I'll try my best to be understandable. In AEM I have two projects and in the first one I edited my toolbar dialog by putting the rtePlugins on the cq:dialog of the component "text" to see the underline, etc.. and it's working perfectly. On the second one, created in the same way of the first one i can't see the underline on the cq:dialog toolbar of the component text in "Components" folder but if I move the node on a sub folder o rename the node it works correctly. So I have this issue only if the node is named "text" and it's in the "Components" folder. Can you help me? Thank you in advance.
One thing I'm noticing about the WF Boards is that since cards are still Task oriented, whenever a card makes a connection to a project, it's just creating and linking to a Task that has the same name as the card. That's not to say it's a major glitch but it's a challenge since we use project templates, we have to be aware of that function or every team using boards is going to start flooding the projects with duplicate generically named tasks. Is there a way to set up a board so that it doesn't do this?Currently, when it creates a task on the project it’s connected to, that shares the name of whatever you title the card. If we all link to the same project on our own boards, the project will then have all multiple identical tasks. It has the potential to get quite messy. And if someone comes in and "cleans up" those generic tasks, it'll break the link back to someone's board. But there's no seeing who created those Tasks and on which board that Task's card lives. Does anyone have some r
