Adobe Workfront

After reading this update about deleting requests in the new requesting experience: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/manage-work/requests/create-requests/delete-request-draft, what happens to the data associated to that request? Can a request be deleted if it has been converted to a project? If so, I assume that the project is deleted too?My concern is if someone deletes (one of their own) requests accidentally, it is not recoverable and data is lost - so is this something which can be prevented at access level or system wide?

A manager was trying to estimate his team’s time for an upcoming project by looking back at a previous project but his team’s time was not showing in when he click Hours in the left nav of the project. I was able to see in my monthly hours report for the month his team’s tasks took place that his team had actually logged time to the project. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t show within the project. 

My idea is for Workfront to allow users the option to control the Landing Page they see. At this time, a Workfront Layout Template determines a user’s Landing Page upon login. In an effort to minimize the number of Layout Template, we have created Layout Templates by access and persona rather than by specific accounts. Therefore, most or our layout templates have Workfront Home selected as the landing page. Many teams would prefer that Workfront opens on a specific team dashboard upon login instead of Workfront Home. However, since we have over 50 accounts and a handful of Workfront personas (Discipline Lead, Project Manager, Resource Manager, Worker, Requestor, etc.), creating custom layout templates for each team by persona would be unwieldy with 250+ Layout Templates. We have let users know that they can Pin their team dashboard but it still requires a couple of clicks versus opening the team dashboard upon login. Hello,I am trying to change the All Request view in the New experience to a more suited view for our users and I don’t seem to be able to Add another view as a new default.I have created a new Issues View and shared it system wide, and tried Adding it in the Users Layouts but none of the active views seem to appear when searching.Is there a different way to change the default view?Thanks! 

workfront end user question - “How to show projects collapsed by default” in the “My Work” section, or is there a way to “Collapse All”?  Currently, must collapse each project individually every time.  

Hi all, I am using a calculated field to provide a clickable, concatenated Workfront Document Project Link that users can click when it is attached to a document. Currently, the URL’s environment is hard-coded as “my”. I know that $HOST is available for External Lookup fields and can retrieve the environment dynamically, but I’m looking for a way to both build the URL and retrieve the environment value dynamically. Currently showing: What I would like to achieve (dynamic environment): By any chance, has anyone had a similar use case or thoughts they could share? Thanks!Wyatt

Based on current client feedback, I am requesting we have at minimum Portfolios/Programs - if not all work Objects - added to the “Recently Deleted” function in Workfront. This is causing some issues as we automate processes clean up Workfront. Would love to see this added to the product roadmap!

I’m pretty sure this isn’t possible but, I am trying to combine 3 different calculated fields on the same custom form into one chart. The fields are Metric 1 On-Time, Metric 2 On-Time, Metric 3 On-Time and the calculation spits out either Yes or No once dates from the source fields have been filled out (not all 3 metrics will apply to every project).The goal is to determine the overall percentage of “Yes” vs “No” across the entire portfolio of projects, inclusive of all 3 metrics.

Hi, I am onboarding a  team on to Workfront proof. They have not used it previously so I ‘m wondering if anyone can recommend the best training materials or successes of onboarding user groups by roles. I’m anticipating creating training guides but any input would be greatly appreciated 

My entire company wasn’t receiving email notifications all day yesterday from Workfront. Just wondering how many other folks were having this issue? Seems to be resolved as of this morning but this isn’t the first time that I don’t receive a clear status on what is down within the system. Sometimes the system is running slow, sometimes proofs don’t want to work, and then we have days like yesterday when we don’t receive email notifications. 

I noticed an issue on the Home Dashboard where users outside of the Design Team can only see projects with a Completed status in the Status column. Previously, they were able to view all projects they have managerial, view, or contributor access to if it was shared with them, regardless of status, so this seems to be a change from how it worked before. And I’ve checked each Access Level and this is even happening with certain people who have the Standard License. The dashboard indicates that a filter is enabled, but even after selecting Clear All several times, only the Completed status continues to display. There is no filter enabled even though it says there is.The Projects I’m On view should show visibility across all project statuses we’ve set up in the system, but it doesn’t appear to be functioning as it did in prior months.Could someone please take a look? I’ve attached a screenshot for reference. Thank you!

The requestor would like to see at the project level the resource hours month over month by FT employee versus contractor.  My issue is the custom field that delineates the two is on a user form.  What can I do?

Below is the current text mode for the Planned Hours column in my project report and how it is showing when I run the report. Is there a way I can update the code to have it show 13,798.75 (which adds a comma and removes the word 'Hours')?? Any suggestions for how to view recent post/questions in the Workfront forum?  The sort seems to have a  “recently active” sort option but no “recent” option.  There are a handful of posts from today showing, but everything else is a month or more old.  Where are the posts from the past few weeks?The new community format is underwhelming to say the least.

Whenever I clicked the video's timeline the video is starting over rather than jumping to that frame in the video. Anyone else having issues? !--startfragment>
