Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi, does anyone know if we extract data from Marketo to an external database using an API connection once or twice a day, will it reduce the number. of API calls used per day? Alternatively, we're not exporting all the tables and data from Marketo today but still use between 10 and 15K API calls per day. Is there a way we can reduce the daily usage, even if it means to send the data in bulk once or twice a day?  Thank you. 

Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on an HTML email template and running into an issue where Microsoft Outlook adds unwanted gaps above and below an image (Property Image) inside a table. The image is supposed to fit the full height of its table cell, but in Outlook, there’s extra spacing around it. A gaps appears above & below the image, even when padding: 0; margin: 0; is applied. Sometimes Marketo automatically unsubscribes people with the reason being "lead unsubscribed from list unsubscribe". Anyone knows what that means?

We aim to resend them the same email after X months if they revisit the page. Initially, I began developing this campaign using an engagement program; however, I encountered some limitations, particularly the inability to resend the same email to the same individual through the engagement program. If the intention was to send the email only once, the engagement program would suffice. However, since we want to implement resending, I believe a default program could be more effective. I have a request from a business partner who is looking to have a specific value filled in a checkboxes field based on the referral page. Currently they have a static Contact sales page where they link to to from a CTA button on the page.  The form embedded on the page has a checkboxes field with a list of products and the customer can select multiple products of interest.  They would like to keep the experience the same but want one of the values of the checkboxes field pre-checked based on the prior page that they arrived from. Example: The form has a Checkboxes field with the following product values and a customer can select what products they are interest in. - Apples- Oranges - Mangos - Pineapples   A customer who is on the Mangos product page clicks the contact CTA and goes to the contact sales page and sees that Mangos checkbox is selected. Hi everyone,  I'm conducting testing on a revision to our email preference center. One of our forms has pre-fill enabled, and for the majority of testers, it's working as expected. However, one tester is experiencing issues.  Here's the flow:1. The tester fills out the initial sign-up form.2. They receive a confirmation email with a button to 'View Email Preferences'. 3. After clicking the button, they are taken to the form/landing page that pre-fill in enabled, but their information doesn't pre-fill and the activity from viewing that page isn't logged in Marketo activity.  The button URL includes: ?mkt_unsubscribe=1&mkt_tok##MKT_TOK##The Unsubscribe hyperlink includes: ?mkt_unsubscribe=1 Both of these buttons have been working for other testers across multiple browsers and devices. Hi, I am new to the Salesforce and Marketo integration. My settings show that integration is working as it should, but when I select Salesforce Campaign Sync on a program, I have two problems. 1. If I select one of the campaign options that pops up, I get the error message 'Salesforce Campaign Sync is initializing. Please allow up to an hour before syncing programs'.This same message has been appearing for days now so I have allowed much more than an hour! 2. The campaign dropdown only has a few options within it - not all the active campaigns visible when I check on the Salesforce side. Has anyone experienced either of these issues?

Hello!Here with another probably basic question, but I am stuck on this.We have an email that basically looks for data points within one custom object to "qualify" them for content and then looks at a second custom object to determine what content to show.My issue is that there are cases where the second object does not exist / has no data for the Lead.I tried doing something like this: #if ( $digitalBankingProfileList.isEmpty() ) Object does not exist #else Object exists #end This is probably an inaccurate way to check as it results in showing the object as existing even on a Lead that clearly has no data in that object. I am assuming there's a better way to check for this?

In Marketo guided landing pages, using the "hide" feature (via display: none) does not remove the hidden sections from the page's HTML. Instead, these sections—along with their resources like images, scripts, and styles—are still loaded by the browser, leading to performance issues and heavier templates.I came across this discussion: Removing a Landing Page Element Instead of Just Hiding It, but it didn’t work for us.Has anyone successfully implemented a method to fully remove these sections from the final HTML output? Hi All,  I am trying to use a currency value from a custom object as a token in an email and can't seem to figure out the right Velocity Scripting to have it format correctly. I want the value to appear in the email formatted as $123.45. “We’re seeing duplicate GTM Data Layer updates for a single Marketo form fill,” read the trouble ticket. “Sometimes even 3 or 4 updates.”   My mind went to adding multiple onSuccess listeners. They had some VRs in place (Country ⮕ State dependency, business vs. personal fieldsets) so the form rendered more than once. Each render meant another gtmAfterSubmit() pushed onto the onSuccess stack. Once the form submitted successfully, they all ran.   The fix is to use whenReady. Hi community, We have a business issue with the Unsubscribed sync fields between Marketo and Salesforce. Since Marketo's unsubscribed field is synced/mapped to HasOptedOutOfEmail in Salesforce. If a prospect or customer unsubscribes from our marketing emails, the field will be set to TRUE on both platforms. This is stopping our Sales email cadences in Salesforce, so our sales reps have to manually force these sends one by one. Have any of you with a Marketo<>SalesForce integration and using SF sequences found a workaround for this? 

I'm trying to configure a way for contacts to update their email address when visiting a "manage preferences" form. When a known contact visits the form, their information will pre-fill. However, if the contact were to update their email address, a new record is created versus updating their existing record.  Perhaps I am completely overcomplicating this - Please let me know. I've added a section of rich text that says "Incorrect email address? Update it now." When it's clicked, the hidden field (self-service email address) would appear so the user can add a new email address. I would have an automation that would then change the data value of the primary email address field once the form is submitted.  I can't seem to find a solution to this, which is making me think I'm approaching this the wrong way. Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Hello, I am trying to increase the number of clients who are opted in to receive email communications from us (it is very low right now). I was wondering what people have done using Marketo to increase their opt ins. I'm wondering if there is a way to only prompt people who are not currently opted in to receiving our emails because I don't want to risk those who are opted in from opting out. One idea I had was to have a radial button appear on our form if the person is currently opted out prompting them to opt in so they don't miss product release updates.  Any ideas, strategies that have worked for you, or success stories you would be willing to share would be appreciated. Friday Question # 3 (and I promise I'm done, I think 😋).   There have been rumblings of our CMO wanting to "get rid of Leads" and use Contact records for everything (something about wanting everything as the same entity for better lifecycle management/understanding/reporting - I'm not entirely sure of the rationale as it's not been described clearly).   I assumed that Marketo cannot create Contacts because of the necessity to connect it to an Account upon creation (and because I've always been under the impression that Leads are generally marketing-owned so MAPs follow that assumption) - however, I was wrong!   I though that one can sync a record from Marketo to MS Dynamics and choose to do so as a Lead or Contact only for people that already exist in the Marketo database and if Microsoft Type = Empty. I'm not sure why I never thought to revisit our Sync to Dynamics smart campaign, because it syncs them as a Lead and assigns them to our generic Marketin

Has anyone tried to use a background image? I can't seem to get it to work.

I've tried using Marketo Career Connect to post a gig at my company for a Marketo Operations Consultant, but haven't yet received job posting access.  I've reached out twice in the past 2 or 3 weeks, but nothing so far.   Is there another space in the Marketo community forums where I can post our Request for Proposal (RFP) for this?   Thank you!Megan
