Webinars can be a tricky tracking setup with Marketo Measure (fka Bizible) because usually there will be Touchpoints from what Marketo Measure would consider “online” channels and also from “offline" channels.   To break that down further… For webinars, there typically will be a JavaScript Touchpoint from the prospect filling out a form to register for the webinar. It’s thought of as “online” because it’s tracked by the Marketo Measure JavaScript. The channel would be whatever drove the person to your site to then complete the registration form whether it’s Paid Search, Email, Organic Social, etc.    Where the “offline” tracking comes in is the actual webinar attendance. Now this can confuse people because webinars are online of course, but webinar attendance typically is not trackable by the Marketo Meausure JS so it must then be treated as an “offline” channel (tracked by syncing a CRM Campaign or Marketo Program/Activity).   Why can’t the Marketo Measure JS track

You might’ve just groaned, “A whole post about the [in time frame] = Next Month filter? Ugh.”   Hey, give me a little credit. You might think you merely haven’t used it, but the reality is there is no such [in time frame] option! This is what we’ve got:   Luckily, it’s easy to build work-alike logic.   Assume your current field is called Expiration Date. Create a new Date field named Next Reminder Date.   Keep that new field updated using a daily batch running after midnight. Catch changes to Expiration Date as well as new people:   And set the Next Reminder Date back 1 month from Expiration Date:   Now, using the built-in [in time frame] = This Month on the new field gives you the desired outcome:   That’s it!

When it comes to Bot filtering in Marketo may be confused by the setting options and how they work.  Why does it matter? Bot activity is seen by Marketo as an interaction with the email asset.  Whether it is an open action or a click action these are recorded in the person’s activity history.  When you use a smart list trigger of filter for opens and clicks, Marketo is looking for these types of actions in the person’s activity. If these activities are the result of a bot and not the actual recipient, you can see how this can distort your program performance report. I need to import a list of records into a static list. All of these records already exist in Marketo, we are just creating audiences in an external tool and need to populate a list weeky.Looking at the 'Add to list' endpoint, this would import 1 record at a time, correct?Is there a more efficient way to bulk import lists of thousands of leads into a list?

Hi, I have a doubt regarding nurture setup. Currently, I have more than three nurtures running with the leads receiving communication from each nurture once a week. How to ensure that a lead is in only one nurture at a given time and enters the next nurture once the content in the 1st is exhausted? Also, is there a way to set a priority/order in which lead runs through the multiple nurtures i.e can we decide which nurture it should go through 1st, 2nd, and so on?

Looking at the 'add to list' endpoint specifically. If I need to run through 1000 records, would that be 1000 API calls to add all the records to a static list?

Hello everyone,considering custom activities, and the fact they should have at least 1 minimum required field associated, I'm wondering if there is an "easy" way to report on any single value for any same custom activity. Let's make it simple: we have website search custom activities working and I'd like to see any single search query done by any user.We have the Last Search Keyword at the user level, but in this way, we are losing historical values. For sure, I've already considered the API for querying the Custom Activities, but this solution needs effort to be developed.Thanks!

Hello folks, Happy holidays 🙂 Quick question on email/program performance across a specific line of business. I wanted to find out the high performing emails and email programs from ad hoc campaigns across US country and a specific form POI which we have run for entire 2024 which can be helpful for our email efforts/implementation in 2025. I did some research in Email Insights (Analytics tab) but wasn't successful in filtering out the exact criteria that I require. I assume we cant filter out with form POI field in Email Insights.  Any suggestions about how I can get this data in Marketo? Hi Everyone,I have a question regarding Marketo email columns. I'm using a template that I've customized and just can't seem to get the columns to display correctly in Outlook. Gmail and other renders come out like the first image but the second image is what it looks like in Outlook. Hello fellow, Marketo-eers!I am fairly new to Lead Scoring and am hoping to get some help on setting up Lead Scoring Smart Campaigns that will gauge interest based on email open, link click, etc.I have created four smart campaigns for our scoring purposes:Delivered Email/Not Opened (-2 to Person Score)Delivered Email/Opened/No Clicks (+2 to Person Score)Delivered Email/Opened/Clicked Links - other than Unsub and Apply Now (+5 to Person Score)Delivered Email/Opened/Clicked Apply Now Link (+10 to Person Score)When I tested it, the score was -2 even though links in the email were clicked. Do I need to include a wait step to give people time to act (or not) with the email?Thanks in advance!

Hello!I am trying to confirm if you can leverage Custom Program Member fields in a Marketo form that is embedded on a non-Marketo landing page.In my early testing it appears that you can put the fields on the form, the form submits and you can see the data in the form submission activity, but the Custom Program Member fields do not get updated. But when I do the same on a Marketo-hosted page, it all works as intended.Is this how this is expected to function?Thanks!

I want to do my own style for forms2, not just add upon marketos default styles. But no matter what i do Marketo always adds the file called forms2.css. I tried to remove it with a jQuery function:$( document ).ready(function() {      $('#mktoForms2BaseStyle').remove();       $('#mktoForms2ThemeStyle').remove();    });But it still apears.Any suggestions? 

I have created a nurture campaign to engage leads who already exhausted content in multiple nurture campaigns. I have set up the Smart Lists using the trigger Fills Out Form for the majority of the programs. However, I have one program where there is no form fill. The lead is created by an API.What trigger do I use to add the leads from this API to the exhausted content nurture campaign? Appreciate your help! 

Hi there - We have multiple Marketo forms on our website (on different pages) for various newsletter subscriptions and event sign-ups. I'm wondering if there is a way to configure Marketo so that a single email address can complete various webforms (that don't include any munchkins) at different times and have the appropriate custom fields updated in their Person Record tied to their email address? I believe that, as it's configured now, any form submission with the "Email Address" as a field, containing an address entered into that field that is associated with a Person Record already in the database, will simply disappear into the ether due to dedupe rules. I know that if these contact were already in our database, and we were emailing them directly via Marketo, they could click a CTA to go to a landing page with a Marketo form and submit updates to the appropriate fields thanks to munchkins. But when someone lands on a public-facing webpage, is there any way to have Market

Hi there, I'd like to know if its possible to stagger the number of exhausted leads that are sent new email content.  I have a program with 9 different streams (A - I). Everyone begins in stream A, and based on their engagement and info we know abut this person, they move into one of the steams B - I once they have come to the end of the content in stream A. When we add new content to Stream A, all exhausted leads receive this new content. However, we now have 30k+ exhausted leads and, due to issues with open rates, would like to stop Marketo from sending all 30k emails in one hit when we add new content. But rather stagger the sends over a period of time. Is there a solution to this?

I have an odd thing happening in my Marketo instance (synced with Dynamics 365). Some of my contacts are showing their account field data, while others are not. All of these contacts are associated with accounts in Dynamics and all of the accounts and contacts have been synced to Marketo, there's just some that seem to have become 'detached' from their account. I need to know if this is expected behavior and why it is happening. Or if not, I will log a case with support. Here is an example of a contact that is correct and DOES show account data in the 'Company Info' tab:Here is an example that DOES NOT show the company info:Both of these contacts are definitely associated to accounts in Dynamics but for some reason the company info is missing on some records. Can anyone explain this behavior?
