Updating the default file for global form validation

For global form validation rules, at the moment we can only do one of two things:

(1) Either use the default file provided by Marketo which have 3000+ domains

(2) Or create a separate rule blocking specific domains

The issue with (2) is that Marketo has a 2000 character limit for the list of domains that hardly suffice requirements especially when we see increased bot traffic. At the moment the default file cannot be edited as well.

It would be great if Marketo provides a file based approach for the domain list so we can make use of all the free domains from the default file as well as others that we might want to add. This either/or approach is limiting in nature.

Best,

Shweta.

I was about to post a similar idea but found this one already here—completely agree with the suggestion and have upvoted it.

Marketo should either provide an option to update the existing global list of domains (currently 3776) or increase the limit (currently 2000) so users can create new validation rules that include both existing and new values.

If updating the global list isn’t feasible, then allowing multiple validation rules on the same field with ANY/OR conditions would be a great alternative. This flexibility would make managing domain validations much more scalable.
