Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hi There, We have a requirement where several custom dropdown fields have been added to the metadata schema of our assets (DITA files). During the translation process, AEM currently picks up the dropdown key value (the stored value) instead of the display label. This key is then sent for translation and applied to the translated language copy. As a result, the translated copy fails to load the corresponding dropdown option correctly in its properties. Additionally, all dropdown labels and options remain in English after translation. We would like to explore whether there is an OOTB approach in AEM to automatically localize or translate these dropdown labels across language copies. Thanks,Ravi Joshi

AEM Assets Content Hub serves as a centralised distribution hub for brand assets across marketing teams, agencies, and partners. It delivers fast search, curated collections, and governed asset delivery at scale. This blog explores how Content Hub’s extensibility model, powered by Adobe App Builder, enables organisations to embed custom workflows directly into the asset distribution experience. We’ll outline the business challenges and explain how extensibility works. Business Problem: Last-Mile Workflows in Content Hub For many organisations, Content Hub has become the go‑to portal for accessing brand assets across internal teams and external partners. While it excels at asset discovery and delivery, the “last mile” of work often happens outside the platform. Once an asset is found or downloaded, critical follow-up actions typically occur in disconnected systems, such as:  Task and ticket creation in project management or IT systems  Approvals in separate review tools  Rights and us

Adobe’s next‑generation video player for AEM Dynamic Media marks a meaningful shift in how customers can understand and elevate video engagement. With faster load times, improved accessibility, and adaptive streaming built directly into the viewer, customers now have the foundation they need to truly measure—not assume—how audiences experience their video content.Key ConceptsDynamic Media video viewer Blog Link Video Engagement ReportThe ChallengeVideo has become one of the most powerful storytelling mediums, yet most organisations struggle to see what actually happens after someone hits play. Even strong video content can underperform when the experience surrounding it creates friction. Slow starts or buffering can discourage viewers within seconds. Playback inconsistencies across devices can distort engagement results. Many teams rely on simplistic metrics such as views, which offer little insight into whether the story resonated or where audiences disengaged. This is why improving t

In our Unlocking Content Hub Extensibility, we discussed the business value of extending AEM Content Hub. This technical guide outlines how developers can use Adobe App Builder to embed custom panels and workflows directly into the Content Hub UI. We will walk through a real-world implementation of an "Extend Expiry" integration.  Overview  Content Hub extensibility, powered by Adobe App Builder, allows developers to embed custom panels and workflows directly within Content Hub—bring business actions closer. Adobe App Builder is Adobe’s enterprise extensibility platform for building and deploying secure, scalable applications on Adobe-managed infrastructure. Core Capabilities:  Custom React UIs rendered inside Content Hub  Serverless backends via Adobe I/O Runtime  Modern development workflows with CI/CD support  Secure hosting and authentication managed by Adobe  Zero infrastructure to maintain   The Extension Point  The primary extension point is the Asset Details extension. As a Principal Product Manager on Adobe’s Digital Employee Experience team, I focus on understanding and meeting enterprise content needs across Adobe—using Adobe products to do it. My team runs and operates our internal Content Hub, and we truly drink our own champagne by acting as Customer Zero. In a previous post, we shared how we approached scaling content distribution for 40,000+ employees using Content Hub. In this post, I share how we partnered with Adobe’s Substance 3D team to create a branded, role-based content experience using AEM Assets Content Hub, AEM Sites, and Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC). Key ConceptsAEM Assets Content Hub: A centralized destination for publishing, discovering, and distributing approved digital assets at scale.Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC): Access rules based on user attributes such as role or product team, enabling targeted access without manual permission management. The Challenge: A Branded Asset Experience for Substance 3DThe Subst

Query:In AEM, when using the Dimensional Viewer for 3D assets in DAM, we navigate to the asset's detail page, select Viewers → Dimensional Viewer, and see two buttons — URL and Embed. Clicking the URL button provides a link like https://s7.scene7.com.Where can I find the actual code or configuration responsible for generating these URL and Embed buttons, so I can modify the output URL to use https://abc.com instead of https://s7.scene7.com Regards,Srinivas

!--startfragment>I want to use the AEM List Folder module in Workfront Fusion to fetch subfolder data. However, while creating the connection I keep getting a 400 error. To troubleshoot, I went to the Adobe Developer Console, created a project, and added the AEM Assets Author API. But when I try to configure authentication, there is no option available for Server-to-Server OAuth.Because of this limitation, I am unable to connect the module.Could you please advise how to solve this problem, or if there is any alternative solution to connect Fusion with AEM Assets for listing folders?!--endfragment>

I am working on AEM Assets(AEMaaCS) with AEM Sites(AMS), where I have connected AEM Assets to AEM Sites via the Dynamic Media Open API. I added the Image V3 component to a page, and in the Smart Cropping section, I see a list of ratios. The issue is that this list is coming from the Image V3 component and is hardcoded. However, I want this list to be generated dynamically from AEM Assets. How can I achieve this?

Where is Content Hub pulling schema data from and can we modify it?  Lots of available metadata fields there that are not in our production schema in AEM assets.  I do see our custom schema, so it is pulling our fields correctly.  There are maybe a hundred other field names showing as available in Content Hub when adding fields to a section in Configuration.  Any access to it all?

Hi Team — need advice on bulk video reprocessing and republishing (5k+ assets)Background: I need to reprocess videos across multiple folders. I have two options:Run CURL commands in batches (preferred — keeps processing external to platform; Adobe recommended this). Run a Groovy script inside AEM.Questions / requests:Republishing strategy — recommended batch size, pacing, and concurrency controls? Reprocessing is async, so what safe concurrency limits or delay patterns have you used to avoid overloading Dynamic Media/encoders? Is there an OOTB AEM workflow or pattern to trigger bulk video republishing across folders (e.g., adapt DAM Update Asset, Workflow Launcher, or Dynamic Media jobs)? If yes, can it be run cross-folder and at scale? Error handling & idempotency — advice on retry/backoff strategy, transient vs permanent error handling, and marking completed assets to avoid double-processing? Any known platform limits, performance caveats or recommended throttling values (per min

Hi Team,I am serving video through dynamic media, and I want to customize one of the OOB “Subtitles & Audio tracks” Tab, when you upload a video There is an option comes where we can upload the subtitle and Audio tracks, I want to rename the Tab “Subtitles & Audio tracks” → “Video Details”And let suppose if we upload a subtitle’s then I can customize the Language dropdown -example: If I want to keep only few in dropdown So can anyone please guide me1- How can I Rename the Subtitles & Audio tracks  to→ Video Details2- I want to provide only specific language under language dropdown. Thanks @kautuk_sahni  @arunpatidar  @lukasz-m  @BrianKasingli

I’m exploring whether AEM data can be connected directly to Power BI for reporting and visualization. Our initial thought is to present the data in a Power BI dashboard, as that would be more digestible and useful than sharing raw data exports. I recall a similar question being asked several years ago (around 10 years back), and at the time the options were fairly limited.Has anyone implemented this more recently? Is there now a supported or practical way to connect AEM data to Power BI (e.g., via APIs, connectors, or intermediate data stores)? Any lessons learned or recommended approaches?

I am trying to have the Dam Metadata Writeback workflow set some attributes in a custom namespace back to a .NEF file (Nikon RAW camera file), but it’s not recognizing it. It does work for png and jpg files, interestingly enough. What might be the config that manages this in AEM? This is for AEM as a Cloud Service (SDK, running locally for now.)Thanks!

Hi i created a collectionLucene under oak index for /content/dam/collections path now it's blocking deletion under the path /content/dam/ *  with the status missing for guid to remidiate this I deleted the node collectionLucene but now the navigation in assets is experiencing a performance delay for every action of moving through the folders and all.

Hi, I am planning to leverage Adobe scene7 video player for our application and want to analyze the downsides ahead of implementation.Parameters to analyze:1. Accessibility of the player (When we performed proof of concept 1.5 yrs. back, player was not fully accessible)2. Ease of customization with backward compatibility. 3. Performance on low bandwidth networks. Thanks,Vishal

We currently have users uploading their assets to the linked AEM folder in Workfront, which then syncs to AEM/Content Hub. If an error is identified on an asset, it must be manually deleted in AEM and then again in Workfront. Is there a report available that can identify whether users have deleted an asset from the linked AEM folder? Additionally, do teams typically have a governance process in place for when this occurs?

How do I rebrand and configure the default WKND search page?

We are just beginning to use folder metadata schemas, but we have thousands of folders that were created without one. Is there a way to allow users to apply a schema to a folder that originally did not have one? I am aware of the way to do it as an Administrator, but it would be nice if users could add one as well.

Currently, if you delete an asset via new Assets UI [1] this will end up in the trash folder. From here, you are able to restore it easily.Although CF are stored below /content/dam this functionality is not there for CF! Why is that. CF are holding same important content (maybe more if delivered to different channels) like an asset. Why does Adobe not offer the function? Please implement the restore functionality for CF!

Hi,We have Adobe Analytics and a Redshift instance where we put our web metrics, Qualtrics surveys, content inventories, etc. But we get constant requests for insights on what's going on inside of AEM.  List of pages with a specific value in a tag list. Can we get a list of pages that have “Payroll” in the product list tag?List of pages that have specific terms in the text. Can we get a list of all pages that contain the phrase “packaged solution” or “marketplace packaged solution”?List of pages with specific components. Can we get a list of pages that contain dynamic components?List of pages created by or modified by a person or list of persons. The following authors have left the company, and their content must be re-assigned to new authors. Smaller, Smarter, Smoother: Optimizing Video Delivery with AEM Dynamic Media Adaptive Videos From immersive product showcases to engaging brand stories, video content drives user engagement and conversion. According to a 2025 study, 95% of marketers now use video as a core part of their digital strategy, and 93% report positive ROI from video marketing. However, delivering high-quality videos across diverse devices and fluctuating network conditions remains a challenge. In a study conducted way back in 2012, Sitaraman and colleagues found that each additional second of load time beyond ~2 seconds increases the probability of the viewer abandoning the video by approximately 5.8%. While this study dates to 2012, its relevance persists, especially in 2025, where viewer expectations for instant playback are even higher. In this blog, we will experience together, with a demo, how buffering impacts user experience and how AEM Dynamic Media addresses it. To be specific, we will ingest an 84 M

I was able to publish a GLB asset (Pizza-3-Slice.glb) from AEM to Dynamic Media Classic. The asset shows as publish complete in AEM, confirming successful publishing to Dynamic Media Classic. However, I noticed the following issues:GLB not viewable in Dynamic Media Classic UIIt seems that GLB file types are not rendered or previewed directly in Dynamic Media Classic.URL behavior differencesWhen using this URL:https://s7.scene7.com/is/image/Project/content/dam/Pizza-3-Slice.glb→ The link doesn’t display anything (likely treated as an image request). When using this URL:https://s7.scene7.com/is/content/Project/content/dam/Pizza-3-Slice.glb→ The file downloads directly, but does not render in the Chrome browser. It appears that Dynamic Media Classic serves the .glb file as a downloadable binary, not with the correct Content-Type (model/gltf-binary) required for browser-based 3D rendering.Request / Input NeededAny guidance on how to properly render GLB 3D assets from Dynamic Media Classic URL
