Hi,

I am planning to leverage Adobe scene7 video player for our application and want to analyze the downsides ahead of implementation.

Parameters to analyze:

1. Accessibility of the player (When we performed proof of concept 1.5 yrs. back, player was not fully accessible)

2. Ease of customization with backward compatibility.

3. Performance on low bandwidth networks.

Thanks,
Vishal

@Vishal_Anand @Abie I have an update on this. So essentially Adobe has come up with brand new Video JS player which has adaptive streaming functionality of picking either between HLS or DASH based on network/device needs.

Note: You will need to ensure all the videos are reprocessed if they are uploaded in the system before Feb, 2025 as they may miss manifest files for .mpd support.

Hi @vishal_anand ,

I would suggest to consider using new Dynamic Media video player, it comes with latest UI and accessibility features. Plus it can really help improve the performance in low bandwidth situation.

Hi @abie , I have already tried Video JS enabled player. Adobe has reskinned the player but it is essentially Video JS video player. It has downside of low bandwidth support.
