Question

Content Hub Schema

Where is Content Hub pulling schema data from and can we modify it?  Lots of available metadata fields there that are not in our production schema in AEM assets.  I do see our custom schema, so it is pulling our fields correctly.  There are maybe a hundred other field names showing as available in Content Hub when adding fields to a section in Configuration.  Any access to it all?

Hi @JimPresley ,

In ContentHub, you must create your own schema from the list of available fields. These fields are pulled from all possible schemas (OOTB and custom) created in AEM Author instance. Adobe automatically synchronizes any new fields created on author with ContentHub so that they are available for configuration on ContentHub. However, one must manually use that field on ContentHub and make it part of the schema.

We had conversation with Adobe if we could push entire schema from author to ContentHub, but that is not possible. They also suggested above approach.

Does it answer your question?

Thanks!

Thank you, Abie.  Yes, Im aware that you define which fields from AEM Assets to be used for various functions in Content Hub, such as ingest, display card, details page etc.  There are hundreds of field names showing in the metadata list to pick from that do not exist in our AEM Assets schema.  Where do those field names come from?  There are namespaces such as Brand: ,  Assignments:,  Bizible etc.  None of which are in AEM Schema.  It looks like there is metadata available that is specific to Content Hub?  None of the fields below are in our AEM Schema.
