Parent Task Duration is subtracting one of the child duration days. - Workfront 05-07-2022
I have a Parent duration of 15 days. If the first child (12 day duration) is complete before the due date we want to change the start date of the second child (3 day duration) to the preceding task completion date so the assignee are not waiting until the original start date of the task to complete it. When we change the second child start date, it changes the constraint to "must start on" and changes the Parent duration to 12 days. We want the Parent duration to stay at 15 days for reporting. Is there anyway to see the Role Availability hours by person in a more simplified view? Currently, I am expanding or exporting from resourcing to see it or narrow down the results. - Workfront 03-02-2022
A good view would be the individuals name with Roles underneath and their availability, planned, actual hours. Instead of People, Project, Roles.

Has anyone had tasks that do not show up on a timesheet unless you open it and save? - Workfront 05-10-2021
I have some tasks set monthly for projects. I could have a task for September for Mary Doe and a task for October for Mary Doe. For some reason, the task doesn't always show on the timesheet for a month. If I go in and change it from "New" to "In Process", it will normally then appear on the timesheet. If it is already set to "In process", I change the individuals role and then it will appear on the timesheet. Any insight on what I might be missing so I don't need to do manual intervention?

Re: How do you track non-project related time to roll up into Workload balancer such as weekly meetings? - Workfront 21-06-2021
We also have a general project with tasks for this same issue. You can set a Parent Task that repeats weekly or monthly. Create a new task, it will be the parent task when you set to recurring, set it as recurring and select your start/end date, etc. You can also set-it to complete automatically under the tracking mode so you do not have to manually close them weekly or monthly.

Re: One of my planners can create projects but she cannot add tasks, see ones I created, or add new ones. I have verified she has manage rights on the portfolio and the project. What am I missing? - Workfront 28-05-2021
Good suggestions. I did check and it is set to all. She could not even see the filters. When I logged in as her I could though.
