If you happen to have Fusion, it may be possible to do something without having to build a coded solution or use a third party tool by leveraging the HTTP API Module in Adobe Fusion, and Drupal.  Fusion also has AEM Module that you can use as well.

Turns out this is an intended error and that Adobe just confirmed with me via a ticket that the support of passing a value to search for a project/issue/comment is not supported in the module.  Disappointing. : (
