How to test unsubscribe links in an AJO email template before publishing?

I have created an email template in Adobe Journey Optimizer and added unsubscribe links using personalization tokens. Before publishing the journey, I want to make sure these links work correctly and redirect to the intended unsubscribe page. Currently i cannot use send proof since i am in my training phase.

What is the best way to test unsubscribe links in AJO?

You have two slightly different things to validate:

1. Does the link URL resolve and land on the right page?
2. Does clicking it actually update consent / unsubscribe the profile?

Because you’re in training and can’t use Send proof, you’ll rely on test profiles + live sends to yourself rather than proofs.

Check unsubscribe link renders correctly	Use Simulate content + test profile to visually inspect the URL in the email body.
Check it lands on the right page	Publish a small journey that targets only your test profile, send to yourself, click the link and verify the landing page and no errors.
Check it actually unsubscribes	After clicking, open the profile in AEP/AJO and verify consent fields (consents.marketing.email or equivalent) changed to n.
Check future sends honor unsubscribe	Run another email journey to the same profile and confirm the email is excluded for “no consent” and you receive nothing.
