Hi,
We are planning to go for AJO implementation. There is already an existing non Adobe campaign system, so we have a subdomain and an email which is used to send out mail campaigns. We are considering to use the existing email address in AJO. I have checked the documentation and technically it looks possible. However based on your experiences, can you comment if this is a good practice or any potential downside to this approach?
Regards, Kishor

It is not recommended and the usual practice is to procure a newer subdomain and then use the same for ip rampup and eventual sendouts.

Hi Mohan,
I had raised a ticket with Adobe and there they seem to suggest that for non-Adobe landscape this should work. so double checking

While it is technically feasible it is not recommended due to shared reputation and governance risks. Any deliverability issues from other platforms using the same subdomain can directly impact communications. Using a dedicated subdomain ensures reputation isolation, controlled warm-up, and long-term scalability with minimal risk.
