@CamC1 Pretty much all the xdp/pdf created in ES4 should work smoothly
in AEM forms. You will have to do testing of the forms to make sure
functions/properties are honored as things get deprecated or changed
over the course of time. So minor updates might be required.
@Eric_Stricker You might have to map your host and DNS in DAY CQ Link
@jmackesy There might be something on your form which is extending the
page layout to show the scroll. Pages are responsive and will adjust to
devices and screens. You can add css to client libs to handle this(
https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_hide_scrollbars.asp) but be
cautious to not hide scroll for small devices as well.
@1982luca 1) You need to edit them on respective servers only. Unless
you are developing modules in eclipse and using code via AEM plugin,
here IDE act as a single source but you push the changes to different
servers. 2) Discuss this once with CSE of your account to get the best
approach as you have forms and sites on different servers.
See if this helps @Eric_Stricker
@Eric_Stricker By default, the template editor will put the templates in
conf only. I have seen developers keeping templates at other locations
as well like apps or even etc. If your template is correct you can still
keep them in any location and update the template property for the form
in crx/de. Or copying it in conf as you did is also fine.
By having AEM Site and AEM Form were installed in different servers, how
does it work if I develop a jar package for AEM Site? Shall I deploy it
on AEM Form as well? If you have different servers and that jar provides
some utility to both sites and forms then deploy on both. If its
specific to site then you can keep it on the respective server only. In
my architecture I have 1 Author and 2 Publisher, when I publish a
template how it works? will the template be published in both Publisher?
I would prefer submitting AF to AEM workflow or custom submit to achieve
the use case. You can do same thing from XDP but since JEE isn't there
you will have implement things on Osgi on your own. I will wait for
@GirishBedekar to add more here.
These two article by Girish will help you with DOR.
