Hi, there

My LiveCycle server version is 9.0.0.0. After I did some modification to our existing process, it resulted a serious problem: long-lived process cannot be invoked. All of long-lived processes on the server cannot be inovked correctly, not only on my application, but also on new created applicaitons. Does anyone know how this happened?

I was trying to change properties of a LDAPService Activity, then it went wrong. No matter reverting the process back to previous version, or restarting LC server, it won't work. After invoking from workspace, there is no process instance is recorded in workbench and no process is tracked in workspace either.

Here are some check results:

1. short-lived process works fine on the server. It can be successfully recorded by workbench.

2. all long-lived processes/Services are "Active"/"Running" state when checking them in AdminUI.

3. It also work fine if archive the application and install it on another LC server.

Still have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be grateful, thanks.

any hints from the server log file ?

You could check the tb_process_instance table on the LC database side to see if that creates a new entry when you try to trigger the long lived process.

*try to navigate the DB with read only permissions, do not commit any changes on LC db side. Could cause irreverisble damage to the system's stability.

Besides, manually sync the domain with reverted changes and try to invoke the long lived process. Also, check the status of users in edcprincipalentity table.

There is one error thrown when server start up. I am not sure whether it is the reason. There is no other error thrown while startup and invoking process.

I checked the table tb_process_instance. There is no new process instance record.

Anyway, I've installed another LC server instance and migrated our application to new one.
