Re: Connecting to AEM Assets with Companion App using non admin User - Adobe Experience Manager Assets 22-03-2016
mark.frisbey wrote... Hi Sid, If the user that you're trying to connect with doesn't have access to /content/dam, then you'll need to change the URL that the companion app is using to connect. For example, if the user only has access to /content/dam/geometrixx, then you would need to change the companion app's URL to something like http://localhost:4502/content/dam/geometrixx. How exactly you do that will differ depending on your OS, so if you need assistance changing the URL then feel free to l...

Re: Connecting to AEM Assets with Companion App using non admin User - Adobe Experience Manager Assets 21-03-2016
Thanks Mark, My user initially had read only permissions on everything, ad R/W permissions only on a specific DAM folder. This morning, as an experiment, i gave full permissions to the User on the entire CRX structure.then the companion app was able to connect. After that i gradually removed all those permissions to find which one did the trick, but now i'm down to the original permission and my user still connects.Looks like that one time admin privilege helped create a temp folder or profile so...

Connecting to AEM Assets with Companion App using non admin User - Adobe Experience Manager Assets 21-03-2016
I'm trying to connect to the AEM Assets server using the Companion app, however the only user that i can connect with admin/adminWondering how to restrict user access for creative developers while using the companion apps. I did create some users which could only access specific folder inside dam (works well in touch UI and CRX), but these users fail to connect using the companion app.

Re: I am getting the ssl error when trying to use launchpad on ssl, i can access adminui through ssl with no errors but launchpad says "unable to find valid certification path to requested target" - Adobe LiveCycle 05-11-2015
not sure if you were able to figure this out. But when you access your Admin UI, does it give you any message before allowing to proceed to Admin ui over HTTPS ?seems like you have a hierarchy of certificates, all of which should be trusted on the client. It's complaining about not finding certification path.Which means that your client machine might trust your LC server cert, but may not trust parent or intermediate certs.usually browsers just throw a prompt and let you move, but the launchpad ...

If your LC server is accessed through SSL, make sure you download the launchpad application using SSL only i.e.https://:/launchpad

Re: Opening XFA dynamix form in somethign other then adobe reader - Adobe LiveCycle 26-08-2015
You will have to make sure that your version of designer is either AEM Forms 6.0 Fp1 or more recent than that.I believe this does not work on ES4 or previous versions.

Re: Issue with page breaking in two columns layout. - Adobe LiveCycle 25-08-2015
Ok, so if you want to evolve your table approach, you can definitely follow the article shared by BR001‌Otherwise if you want to play both sides individually, you can go your Master Page in the hierarchy, and create another content area there.basically your content area is defined by the pink dotted rectangle that you would see in the "master Page" view. You should already have one default content area, which you can customize to fit like left sided column, and then introduce a new content area t...

Re: Issue with page breaking in two columns layout. - Adobe LiveCycle 24-08-2015
What is your current approach for dividing the page into 2 columns ?Do you create 2 subforms on the page, and then keep your fields within these subforms ?If you haven't tried already, you can try to create 2 content areas on the master page itself, that might help with pagination configuration later on.
